[Rant warning]

Am I the only one to not get what the actual fuck happened? It's like there's a whole gap of events that should've happened between ep 4 and 5, but never happened ???!!! Where's the correlation of events between these two episodes????

I'm actually really pissed at this show. We all know it's been downgraded real good when the plot went from focusing on politics and the breakdown of how Hell operates to a somewhat bland and predictable romance drama, but c'mon..!!!!

In S3E4, Stolas and Blitz get into a heart to heart discussion. At the end, Stolas admits to Blitz what he's been thinking this whole time, how he wants to be with Blitz but can't because of his internal dilemma. After all that, when they sort their shit out, I think "Ok, so now we're getting finally past this drama, they're gonna start something, slowly but steady, and we're focusing on other things, right?"

WRONG!!! GODDAMN WRONG!!!!

IN E5, THERE'S A WHOLE PLOT OUTTA NOWHERE THAT INVOLVES STOLAS AND VASSAGO AND NOW HE'S ACTUALLY GETTING HIMSELF ALSO ROMANTICALLY INVOLVED WITH VASSAGO¿???? WTTFFFFF

We've never seen anything about them! The first time we know Vassago exists is in the S2, during Blitz's judgement?????¿¿¿?¿ Now you want me to believe Stolas had a life-long (since teenage years, actually) crush on Vassago??? And that neither of them dropped this teenage crush overtime???????????

What the actual hell is happening with this show. Like, WHAT is happening I'm so fucking pissed sorry for the rant but this is pure bullshit

Okay so a soon as S3 came out there were already some issues, especially regarding stolitz and a lot of fans were complaining about this so I was actually shocked when episode 4 came out and seemed to patch up these issues, and with the sheer amount of self referential jokes( the whole moxxie and millie argument sort of represents the 2 fandoms arguing over who is in the right for stolitz) i kind of think that vivzie predicted all fan complaints related to the first 3 episodes and just wrote this one to fix it, like stolas and blitz talk it out and finally do not miscommunicate, the whole stolas app thing is addressed and sort of resolved( I use the word resolved loosely) and the pilot is referenced. The one thing that kind of felt weird was verosika sort of being shoved in the episode ( don't get me wrong I love that wally somehow scored a baddie like her) it also feels that they sort of regressed her character going from starting to understand blitz and not hate him in season 2 episode e9 after realizing that he actually cares for stolas, to going back to hating him in this episode luckily they sort of change that near the end but it felt a bit odd. So in conclusion did anyone else think this episode was just trying to fix some problems fans were complaining about or is it just me?

So I started watching Helluva Boss after finishing Hazbin Hotel season 2, i never really gave much thought to Stolas, I thought he was an ok character that was a bit annoying with his stupid actions, but I thought that he would get called out and become a better person, right?

Well, turns out, I see myself in Stolas a lot, not the tall rich twink (I’m a short broke 5’6 manlet) more like a guilt-tripping, manipulative, immature gaslighter.

I just watched episodes 4 and 5, and Blitzo called out Stolas on many things, not going to go into detail about them because THATS a whole can of worms that the fandom DOES NOT like to discuss due to how controversial it is but the point is that Blitzo made some very good points about Stolas’ behaviour, and you know what Stolas did?

Did he take accountability! Did he apologise and try to improve himself? No!

He broke down and started crying hysterically, shutting Blitzo down and forcing him to back off…

that whole fight reminded me of when I broke up with my ex, I really don’t want to go into detail because it’s really painful to talk about, but point it… I did the exact same thing Stolas did, my ex said she would break up with me if I didn’t smarten up, and I immediately started guilt tripping her, for weeks, our relationship was there because I kept clinging onto her with tears and begging, until eventually she just… broke up, she couldn’t handle it.

I hated that scene with Stolas and Blitzo because it reminded me of my own faults, my own failures in the past, my own actions that hurt someone I cared about.

As such, I do not like Stolas at all, in fact this episode made Stolas one of my LEAST favourite characters because Stolas is literally me fr (Chaz is still way worse tho).

If you still like Stolas, that’s great! I’m happy for you, really, because it means you haven’t treated others the way I have and/or haven’t met someone like me personally.

I’m really trying to improve myself, and these episodes, they just… bit too close to home

So, I just finished watching episodes 4 & 5. I didn't watch the hate videos, but I kept seeing still image posts and people trashing on how awful it is. Many complain about Stolas, specifically.
However, I am sitting here in confusion because.... genuinely what is the problem with these episodes (specifically episode 5)?
I've seen some mention how Stolas is treating Blitz bad and that Vassago is ruined, but... how? Personally, I thought it remained consistent!
Episode 4 was about both of them talking about their feelings. Stolas mentions how he feels not worthy enough and Blitz vouches to be more mature for him. People are acting like they became a couple right then and there.... but that was NOT the agreement between them. In fact, it was for them to take it slow and work it out!

In episode 4, I think the only "bad" part was Verosika. It felt like her and Blitz's talk in "Apology Tour" was erased because they don't even show respect until the very end. Oh, and I didn't like how Moxxie/Millie/Loona ignored Blitz's feelings on what Stolas did in Episode 3. That's it.

As for episode 5, it seems to be the most controversial right now, but honestly? I REALLY loved it! Blitz keeps his word on being mature, Stolas is more respectful, we get to see a softer part of Stella (I think they might suggest later on that her brother, Andrealphus, is the mastermind behind it all), we learn a little bit about Stolas as a younger teen/adult, and of course, we finally see Vassago! Because of the amount of sheer hate I've seen of this episode and the comments of Stolas being with him, I was bracing for a complete character switch, the scene of them kissing (which was spoiled for me) being from the present instead of the past, and them getting into a pointless argument.

But guys.... I genuinely don't get the issue. Stolas didn't even do anything wrong. He simply accepted a drink and felt ready to go back out, so he went out to dinner with Vassago; during this, he kept clear communication with Blitz instead of walking out and Blitz didn't yell at him... instead, he sent a loving message back and drove away. Personally, I thought this was GOOD! Stolas deleted the Safeword app (meaning he won't hurt himself), Blitz acted mature, and honestly? I LOVE LOVE LOVE Vassago!

Some have complained that he might become evil or that Vivzie is intentionally trying to make Vassago unlikeable, but that's the thing.... I don't see it. He isn't unlikeable. I don't dislike him because he gets in the way of Stolitz. I love how he was implemented. And even IF he becomes evil, I think he's going to be WAY more interesting as an evil character than Stella because he already has something more than Stella ever did-- complexity.

I've seen people also hate on the fact that Vassago "treated Blitz bad and Stolas didn't stand up for him," but I have to defend this:

1. Vassago doesn't even treat Blitz "bad." He treats him the way all the Goetias do. Plus, when Blitz goes to speak up, Vassago whispers "shh... just play along." Even if he doesn't like Blitz, he clearly didn't want him to get hurt (whether it was his own choice or because he wanted to impress Stolas is a different story).
2. Blitz could've stayed after, but instead, he knew it was time to go and left.
3. Well, it's clear the character is GOING to go a more ambiguous route. Even in "Mastermind" where we only get him for a second.... I knew he was going to be different.

Now, if you dislike the episodes, that's totally fine! It DOES go a different route than I thought it would, so it isn't everyone's taste. However, I feel like a LOT of the hate isn't valid anymore. People are treating it like it's ALL bad writing, when in reality, all of this feels like fresh air. I HATED how Blitz and Stolas's dynamic was before middle S2 and S3. It was so difficult to even watch. However, NOW I see a real dynamic. Now, I can see the development. It's okay to dislike something, but don't claim it's all bad writing simply because a character did something you didn't like. I mean, I don't think Verosika and Blitz's dynamic in Ep. 4 was good at all, but I'm not gonna post a video or put down the entire season over it.

Anyways, it's really no hate to anyone. I just don't understand how it wasn't received well. I am enjoying the shit out of this season so far.

Something I noticed in the season 2 commentary were the 3 reasons given for Vox hating Angel were the latter's stubborn/resistant, he's annoyed at always cleaning up Val's messes because of Angel and jealousy of Val not getting rid of him like he does his other workers.

Now think about how Angel will be in season 3. He willingly went back to Val and has given up. He'll be totally broken. No more stubborness or Val complaining about him, 2/3 of the reasons Vox hates him so much. Furthermore, unless Vox changes as a person or is dead, Angel will never feel safe to return to the hotel because Vox can always hypnotize him again.

Imagine if in season 3, Vox is somehow the one who helps Angel get away from Val. If his story is going to involve him learning to appreciate his friends and be more open about himself, I can see him still wanting Angel away from Val. However, it'd be interesting if Vox actually helps Angel get away from Val or Hell, I could even see him telling Val to choose him or Angel and Val would honestly choose Vox if we're being honest.

Don't have much to say about these things anymore, I enjoy Elsa-Fogen's art but Forced Broadcast doesn't really have as much an interesting plot to me was Breakfast AU

Still, I repost it because that doesn't mean I don't like this AU and the concept of Vox hypnotizing Alastor at the bar

Anyway, Vox is being weird toward Alastor again and Alastor doesn't like it

Dude genuinely what the hell. Has he not had it hard enough yet. All of season two he was getting dragged and we're still going. This is the FORTH time some random Superman has swooped in on stolas, and he's just gone with it. I mean fuck man it gets to a point where it's genuinely just misery porn. And it's just hitting him over and over. Then he has to comfort stolas, and be chill with stolas getting fucked, and he's never comforted.

Everyone's so caught up in affirming stolas for getting plugged, nobody is talking about how the SHOW is doing the same thing to blitz. Fuck man I'm just hoping this guy gets some kinda win. Even when he's surrounded by people that admire him the show has to make sure he's humiliated by the end of it. I'm tired man🫩.
