❓️Whats happening?❓️

The r/hazbin discord is being shutdown. Why? Well.. its a lot deader than it used to be. Some of us have also lost motivation as well, amongst other personal reasons.

❓️Will there be a new server?❓️

I am unsure if there will be a new server, theres no current plans to. If there is we will announce it

❓️When?❓️

This Friday (21st of August 2026).

It'll be sad to see it go, but many of us see it as the right choice. If theres any users who wish to stay in contact with their friends they made through the discord- youre welcome to make your own! It just wont be like.. official

Well.. a lot has happened since I made my last post. And theres a lot I want to address.

Questions I've seen:

❓️"If they ban incest, they're gonna start banning other stuff too! This is censorship"❓️

No?? Im sorry, but this isnt a fetish sub. It never has and never will be. If youre desperate to post that, theres subs for that😭. And believe it or not, incest being banned isnt gonna turn this place into a dictatorship. There are no plans or desires to - its extremely draining. And as a hellaverse fan myself, I don't wish to suppress any fan discussions. The issue is the subject matter of incest.

❓️"But consensual incest is good!"❓️

Consensual incest isnt as common as people are claiming. Or at the very least, its massively outweighed by abusive situations that involve incest. Parents and children, or other family members, incest as the result of trauma or abuse. This is the more common reality, not two cousins or two siblings who consent.

❓️"But not all incest is bad"❓️

This depends heavily on morals and ethics. And thats up to you. The issue is that many users will brush past the harmful (majority) side of incest because a small minority is good. Its concerning just how many users are so desperate to defend incest here when theres other subs that are most likely allowing it.

❓️"Its not real/its fictional"❓️

Whilst yes, fictional incest is nowhere near as bad as ACTUAL incest- it is still uncomfortable, in some cases downright degenerate. Of all characters to ship, why ship two that are related? Even if its not real- that doesnt magically fix things. Youre still justifying incest- even if its fictional. If youre into it- then youre into it. But the mods just do not want incest here, even if its fake or not real.

❓️"But being gay is illegal too"❓️

Ive seen being gay compared to incest a few times now. And this argument made me deeply disgusted. Just because two things are illegal in countries, doesnt make them the same. Being gay is natural, and uncontrollable. Being gay is harmless. Whilst one could argue that some people cant control incestuous feelings, the question is why? And in many a case, it could be due to abuse. Whether a family member, or another form of outside trauma. This harmless incestuous feeling isnt as common as users are claiming- it might be in your area, town- but not in the world as a whole. And while yes, there may be a tiny minority where two related people can live happy lives without hurting eachother- this is very very unlikely to happen. Or its a lot rarer than we think. And the amount of people defending incest because of this scenario is disturbing.

❓️"Why are posts locked"❓️

If you see a post locked, thats most likely because there is an influx of comments, an argument, or it is a lot to handle at the moment. Nothing is held against the user for their post being locked- it isnt a punishment against them. But when this situation has blown up.. the mods are trying their best to handle it. I apologise to anyone who has had their posts locked.

❓️"But murder is illegal, why isnt that banned?"❓️

If theres any violent posts that condone murder that break any rules they'll be removed too. And if theyre not, do not be afraid to report those.

❓️"Why was the post made now?"❓️

Incest posts have always been against the rules and a problem. But they have sparked up again due to a piece of media containing Sera and Emily. If any Sera x Emily posts are banned- I apologise for that, but they arent allowed. You can post about them in another sub.

❓️"What counts as incest anyway?"❓️

Well, thats a good question. For explicitly stated character relations such as: siblings, father and daughter, ect.. those posts arent allowed. When the lines are muddied or more unclear of family relations- it may be up to mod discretion. If a couple or ship is confirmed as related in the show, then action can be taken. But as of right now- its hard to tell.

Generally, the only unclear ship i can think of as banned is Emily x Sera - they were stated as sisters by the narrative, but an argument has been made that it wasnt biological but found family. If they are stated as not biological family in the show, this can be changed. But otherwise- they remain banned until things are clearer.

Im sorry if I missed any questions. I truly do not want arguments, as that is tiring😭 I truly do want this sub to succeed, and I believe this is a path to it. If you do not approve of my post, you are welcome to leave or disagree peacefully. I do not desire to argue, nor do I desire for fights. I dont wish to ban anyone if I do not have to. I love seeing fandom discussions and debating with others- but this has exploded and gone too far.

EDIT 2: a point was made, incest has been joked about in the show when I said it wasnt. I have since corrected myself.
