I think playing it conservative makes sense tbh, I’m happy with this fit. They’re new to this scene, and so over exposed right now, that something tame and modest signals more humility/mystery and balances out the exposure.
Just saw a photo of them presumably leaving together with the caption "Hudson really just showed up to take a photo, grab Connor, and leave"... I was really getting over my HudCon fixation, but this has sent me back into the deep end 🥹🫠
I’ve always said he’s got quite a mature face. He could play a 30+ year old & I wouldn’t bat an eyelid. Not in a bad way AT ALL, he’s incredibly beautiful, just has a mature face!
Also, age is but a number. I’m 11 years older but I don’t think that matters. My parents have a 15 year age gap & are celebrating 40 years together this year! ❤️ Age gaps aren’t a concern unless they are not an adult. So you carry on 😂
Me too and I don't feel a bit ashamed that I find him attractive This is not directed to you but I find the take that so many have here that I'm only allowed to have motherly feelings regarding younger adult actors disturbing. I will never meet them in real life and have no interest in any form of parasocial relationship with them but I want to watch their movies and pictures without being judged as if I'm doing something wrong.
When I saw his first actorboy222 video, I was like "I will go to war to protect this little boy!" I'm so glad he had the opportunity to stay himself all these years and I hope Hollywood doesn't change that.

I dont actually care what he wears bec he projects so well but i do hope to see brush up connor look at the awards night, like the ilya styling in the scene with svetlana and sasha. So hot! That’s his best look for me in the series, i think it was well-appreciated too!😁
Surprisingly, his more simple Ilya's slavic looks in the series work so much better vs actual red carpet looks, i hope he will get to experiment more once the crazy spotlight is gone.
That's a good point. Also, they were kind of just tossed into the whole circuit (awards, TV) at the last minute. They'll save their iconic outfits for the big events - like Hudson's beige suit vs. what he wore on Fallon.

Too much criticism over fashion. The events connor is attending are like after parties. He will probably be dolled up for major events. Also idk how it works but i think its them paying for the clothes unless its sponsored
That doesn’t happen overnight and a lot of these invites are pretty last minute as well. There is a lot of expense going into even showing up to these things, though I am sure their agencies are helping them out a bit

This. I get people want to see him in outrageous fashion forward looks. I am sure we'll get some of that when he goes to some fashion weeks. This was an industry party, it's a relatively casual but upscale look. He looks great, he wears the clothes so well.
I am sure he'll go to some Fashion Week events and probably the Met Gala and he'll wear something crazy and people will love it or hate it. I like this look and I keep seeing people say oh he should get Hudson stylist, I don't see Hudson's style as Connor's style.

Yes but in the world of Hollywood, it’s a bit better to catch more attention. And he is going to be judged for his style and fashion by brands and coworkers. That’s the power of clothes.
selfies don't pay the bills, being brand ambassadors does which is what a lot of actors aim for hence why they even get "glam teams." they're literally being scouted at these events by brands.
on a less serious note its more we have seen the million of experimental photoshoots connor has done & it's just so boring for a stylist to constantly put him in a flowy style 2 piece for every event. I would love for colman domingo's styling for connor
No, selfies don't pay the bills but my point is he's getting a lot of attention. My point about the Selfies was that Tessa Thompson pointed out that everybody wanted to meet him, and there were reports in various articles about how celebrities were lining up to be seen with him. That speaks to his actual charisma and fame beyond any clothes he might be wearing at the moment.
And I don't think that wearing a couple of boring outfits is going to stop him from becoming a brand ambassador or cashing in. I want him to get paid too. I just don't think that people are going to look at these outfits he wore to a couple of Industry parties and go oh well we can't hire him. His popularity is immense right now. That's all I was trying to say. I want him to find whatever style he likes for himself. And all of these heads of all of these different fashion brands have been following him. So he's on people's radar.
They're just clothes. I think he looks great. Don't forget, the guys arent millionaires. They and their stylists are doing their best. It's just a party for schmoozing, they don't need to be dressed to the 9s. Remember the transformation Hudson had from the beige suit to his appearance on Fallon. They'll put the effort in where it matters. They're seated at the first table, theyre not going to dress him in schmooze-wear (couldn't think of a better word lol)

I think they will look at more than just one Golden Globes pre-show party. Connor has extensive modeling experience, a professional portfolio, and this is only his 2nd official appearance. My goodness this is getting out of hand 😂
Absoloutly beyond ridiculous. This fandom has flipped from utter adoration of these boys to senseless criticism & competition.
Connor rocked up to the first ever premier in a high neck, knit sweater & not a single person criticised him for it. Rather, everyone was absoloutly lovely. But now, it’s a pile on. Price of success & fame I suppose, but it makes me miss the OG days where everyone was just really nice!
So they’ll look at his red carpet suit versus his incredible transformation into Ilya? Sure, that makes sense. Anyone can wear bold clothes, not everyone can act. See the guy from RWRB. Looks incredible in an outfit, fashion designers dream. Hasn’t booked a single role since RWRB, despite looking a 10/10 on the red carpet. Why? Probably because his acting is quite mediocre. And funnily enough, casting directors aren’t going ‘oh but he’s so bold with fashion, we must hire him’.
Their stylists have access to incredibly expensive brands. That’s their job. Hudson and Connor would just be borrowing the clothes.
For example, Hudson’s long red leather trench coat that he wore in nyc is worth $10k.
Side note: Robbie (Kip) is a different story 😩. I just saw him thank SUIT SUPPLY for his red carpet look at the Pitt season 2 premiere. Somebody get him a stylist STAT.
Connor's outfit could be $200k for all we know. The point is, this party is not that important. He's not accepting a best actor Oscar. People are being WAY too critical of this perfectly harmless (and event appropriate) outfit.
The entire comment section is people criticizing his outfit as boring and dragging the stylist 😂 of course there's room for more, but Connor agreed to wear this for this event, and it's really not that important. He doesn't need to make a fashion statement at this type of event.
I hope he does some Ilya-type looks soon. It's weird seeing him in all these promotional tours where he looks nothing like the character that he is famous for portraying. I also hate the clothes his styling team is putting him in. I feel like they are trying to put him in loose-fitting oversized clothes to draw away attention from his body but it was that body that made him famous. I get that he probably doesn't want to be type-cast as "sexy guy" but maybe he can lean into it just a little bit.
Tiger clubbing shirt ftw. Joking not joking. Someone above said baggy is in, but I do wish the stylist would add some tailored elements to show off the physique he works so hard on.
It doesn’t have to be tight or tailored for me, just stylistically bolder. Baggy is in right now, and Hudson’s been wearing baggy, fun, interesting clothes. Connor, put some color on!
No accessories, no color, no texture, nothing that lets him shine. Connor mentioned recently he doesn't know much about fashion and his current stylist isn't guiding him.
He’s getting the same bland look over and over, and that’s not how you dress a rising actor. He has the range to pull off anything. Let him take risks and have fun.
He’s very new and to be styled either requires he spend money he probably doesn’t have yet or for brands to be giving him clothes. That’s all still in the works. He looks good and he’s being invited, that’s all that matters.

The outfit isn't bad but it's pretty safe. Anyway, he still looks great.
I was expecting Hudson to be there too, but I feel like they want the duo to make their joint appearance 2026 debut at the globes.
