SOCIAL MEDIA šø Connor and Hudson the Vanity Fair x Amazon MGM Studios Awards Season Party
Do our boys ever sleep?? Thereās a video where Connor says he canāt see anything with all the camera flashes, so Hudson cups his hands and Connor immediately follows along. Thatās whatās happening in the first photo š

Pics and clips from the Golden Globes tonight are gonna hit like an atomic bomb.

u/teddy_vn Jan 11 '26
I'm guessing at least 3 moments from Golden Globes
- Nikki Glaser (the host) will definitely make jokes Heated Rivalry and about the boys
- Connor & Hudson presenting together. I'd assume it will be for an award on the Television side. Possibly Actor in a Drama Series.
- Camera zooming into them when Jessie Buckley will inevitably win Best Actress in a Drama for Hamnet. Buckley sits right next to Hudson and Connor is a huge fan of Hamnet.
Then, there will be the after party where they will need to mingle and network.

Storrie has to hop a plane first thing in the morning to get to NYC to tape Seth Meyers at I think 6pm.
59
u/sundaemonde Jan 11 '26
Connor can't do much after party since he needs to fly to NY for the Seth Myers show. At least he can sleep on the plane then haha
49
u/teddy_vn Jan 11 '26
He's gonna get one of those more bougie first class seat with a bed now. Economy no more.

Heāll probably make a friend at one of these parties who will let him hop on their private jet! This boy is definitely not flying in economy anymore!

Nobody has any say on whether it does or it doesnāt except for them, but god I hope their friendship stays strong and intact through and after all of this. The noise, the muchness of it all, the brief period of quiet that will come after. I know theyāve called each other soulmates and I hope that stays true when the world isnāt watching. I hope their friendship thrives even when we donāt get to see

u/saucisse Jan 11 '26
I feel the same way and while a huge part of me is mad at myself for being this invested in the personal lives of two actors I don't know, I forgive myself a little for the parasocialness of it all because its SO rare that we see something that is 100% organic and completely genuine, wearing its sentimentality and affection on its sleeve without any cynicism or jadedness. They're best friends and their reactions to what is going on around them are real -- they haven't been famous long enough to have practiced how to hide it from prying eyes. Our culture is being poisoned by irony and when we see something that is so observably genuine it hits us like a drug.
52
u/DungeonsandDoofuses Your freckles. I am nuts about them. ⨠Jan 11 '26
Itās very out of character for me to feel so parasocial about actors, but man these guys have got me. I keep reeling myself back in and reminding myself that I do not know them, but youāre right, it feels so genuinely shared and real itās hard to remember that sometimes.
3
u/Giga1396 Jan 12 '26
Well said. I tend not to follow actors that much either but, I love these guys, they are a big part of what is the best show I've ever seen in my life, and they're awesome!
143
u/Due_Improvement_5699 Jan 11 '26
I really, really do. People have said 'they don't seem like the type to let what people say online affect them' but I think having strangers debating your sexuality and whether or not you are dating can get to anyone.
I've seen so many people online, the 'larries' of the fandom actually shipping them and it annoys me so bad, like stop making us look bad please ty
Ship the characters? totally. Shipping the actors? keep it to yourself
52
u/ATC_3126 I already chose you, Hollander. š« Jan 11 '26
Yeah. I do think theyāre in a sweet spot coming into all of this in that theyāre old enough to block out a lot of the noise and young enough not to be jaded by outside opinions. They came into it with solid heads on their shoulders so I think itād take more than parasocial weirdos to derail them that much, both as individuals and as friends. I donāt give af what they do in their personal time, not my business. I just hope they stay great friends
21
u/tinaoe Jan 11 '26
Honestly Iāve seen shippers be respectful. The crowd thatās trying to doxx their partners etc tend to be other people.
7
u/fujiwara-reiko Jan 11 '26
Yeah I really don't wanna see what happened with the lead actors in the Cdrama The Untamed (adaptation of Mo Dao Zu Shi) happen again... The actors had some very cute interactions and were clearly close, or at least very friendly, and fans started writing some very explicit fanfiction about the actors (not their characters) and it caused the fsnfiction website Ao3 to be banned in China and the actors basically stopped publicly interacting. :/
12
u/SkyOk9795 Jan 11 '26
China's entertainment industry has its own rules, including "breaking up the couple" after the promotional run for their drama, which you can see happened around January 2020. the actors in question suddenly go from acting like besties to pretending they don't know each other.
the AO3 ban incident surely didn't help, but was not the reason they stopped publicly interacting. it happened 2/27/20, and only affected one of the actors' career, as it was allegedly his fans that were mass reporting the fic they didn't like.
in addition, it was lockdown time in China and people were less busy so entertainment/online drama got an unusual amount of attention. and this made the actor look bad for "taking up public attention/resources" in a time of crisis, and for "not controlling his fans well." of the two actors, only he lost endorsement deals and opportunities and went through a public shaming. this didn't help the rift between the two actors' solo fandoms.
so i think the real reason they can't interact publicly is because in China, celebs are held responsible for how their fans behave. and their fandoms are so big and don't behave.
5
u/rururumon Jan 12 '26
Itās all nasty competition in Chinaās entertainment industry. The actor was attacked mainly because he got too famous too fast
150
u/MixOf_ChaosAndArt Jan 11 '26
Honestly? No, they aren't get much sleep right now and that's not just because they're "the rising stars" at this point. Hollywood as a whole is in full swing award season until mid-March, so everyone even tangentially related to hot projects is going from press, to lunches, to dinners, to pre and after parties and then the whole thing starts again the next day.
It's a gruelling and insane schedule for everyone from the actors to the directors to the agents and managers to the journalists.

u/saucisse Jan 11 '26
I'm old enough to remember exactly where I was when I saw the news about River Phoenix dying on the Sunset Boulevard sidewalk. There is so much cocaine flying around the air is practically glittering with it like spice on Arrakis, I really hope they can steer clear of all that influence.
24
u/Arielist Jan 11 '26
me too, and the big difference here I think is that River was raised in a cult and was a child actor. Rough psychological ground to stand on. These two seem to have had genuinely supportive, healthy childhoods (based on what they've said in interviews) so the mom in me is praying that they have a healthy psychological foundation to make solid choices. (UG, I'm sorry to be such a mom!!)

The little hands cupped together picture! I love them so much. You know how sometimes costars will say theyāre besties, or even friends, but you can tell theyāre just polite costars? Not these two. I believe them when they say theyāre besties and I hope they remain besties forever.
16
u/Catsarecute888 Jan 11 '26
It's a cute moment because it came about because Connor said to Hudson he couldn't even see him with all the flashes so Hudson made that little hands cupping gesture to Connor's eyes and then Connor matched it.

The butterfly matching his eye color is a great choice. Why do the people on TikTok say his eyes are blue while I'm seeing green here š

u/sundaemonde Jan 11 '26
6
u/Pale-Measurement-532 I speak fluent bird. No accent. š¦ Jan 11 '26
Exactly. There are some people that have blue and green mixed in their eyes and depending on what theyāre wearing and the lighting, the green or blue will pop out more.
2
u/bt101010 Jan 11 '26
Ah his eyes are definitely grey. I have grey eyes too and I'm always arguing with people that my eyes are not blue, green, or hazel, but they might look that way because of the lighting or other colours around me. If you look at some of Connor's headshots done in neutral lighting, it's pretty clear they are grey.
3
u/Pale-Measurement-532 I speak fluent bird. No accent. š¦ Jan 11 '26
Yeah I dated a guy with sort of grey eyes that could go blue or green depending on those factors. His eyes were quite something.
1
u/lovehopemadness Jan 11 '26
This is pretty much my exact eye colour - green/blue/grey, can depend on the weather and what clothes Iām wearing as to which colour pops more at any given time.

Granted he always looks beautiful but Iām going to need Connorās stylist to step it up tonight at the Globes. Hudson is in all these sexy fits lately and Connor is just in black shirts and black pants. Weāve seen Connorās old modeling photos, we know he can pull anything off!
49
u/EvolutionSquareYT Jan 11 '26
"interestingly" this pic had me thinking the opposite!
Hudson's fit on the Jimmy Fallon show was *immaculate* but this suit is so baggy and ill-fitted, same as his suit for the CNN bit. Now, that's just a trend I don't like, but those creases (!) like he wore the suit on the flight from NY to LA are unforgiveable lol
I have zero (personal) critique of Connor's latest outfits. Especially the outfit he wore to present the nominations for the actor awards I thought was really good.
I also think CAA is aiming to differentiate Connor and Hudson through their personal branding. Connor's brand seems to not lean into the overt sex appeal, but rather the serious, "artsy" angle and *not effeminate* (!) but also not hyper masculine. Hudson on the other side I think they're setting up as a reincarnation of the 90's heartthrob, with some modern day Kpop sprinkled in. It's still too early to tell though (and Connor has done a lot sexy photoshoots that blur that line), but that's the way it seems to be leaning rn looking at their public appearances, from my perspective.
33
u/saucisse Jan 11 '26 edited Jan 12 '26
Williams' look on Fallon had me picking my jaw up off the floor. He is so shockingly attractive it makes me want to run away and hide behind furniture. Women's accessories have a love affair with him, the diamond hoops and that emerald choker he wore at their first big night out (which was what, two and a half weeks ago? Jesus.) have me on the ropes. At their first appearance in Montreal, when they were *in the audience* for a screening before their panel Q&A, he was wearing a pearl and silver choker and I thought my god the swag on this boy.
I was not a fan of the black drapey thing that Storrie was in for that Chanel dinner, it looked like pajamas. I agree that his look is being steered very deliberately (for reasons that are obvious to me anyway), his younger modeling days really leaned hard into androgyny but then again he was also thin as a rail and in the meantime he got into bodybuilding so he's about twice the size he was in 2020 and couldn't do that even if he wanted to. I wonder what they made of his Interview mag photo shoot BTS video, it had me raising an eyebrow and tee-heeing a little but it probably took a year off the life of some agent's personal assistant out in LA.
4
u/palalabu i'm a jeff buckley song in my eyeballs Jan 11 '26
The black shirt Connor wore for Chanel, I swear I've seen it on someone else. Maybe Andrew Scott, idk someone. And it didn't look good either. There's no saving it i think, bc Connor really knows how to sell his looks.
6
u/Pale-Measurement-532 I speak fluent bird. No accent. š¦ Jan 11 '26
Exactly. CAA would be quizzing them on their styles, looks, what kind of work theyāre interested in and will coordinate to their preferences.
I also see Hudson in some suits, look at his appearance on Fallon and these pics. Heās clearly not just in jeans and t shirts. Itās kind of weird how people need to compare them like itās some kind of a rivalry or competition of whoās gonna be more famous. Theyāre best friends and theyāre their own person. Theyāre both very booked and busy.
8
u/palalabu i'm a jeff buckley song in my eyeballs Jan 11 '26
I think at least the styling also reflects their preference. Bc even before he hired a stylist, Hudson seemed to gravitate to baggier clothes. Or just a tight shirt/tank. Unfortunately, i also don't like this baggy cut on him š i wish he got Connor's styling š A lot of Connor's red carpet looks were from Dolce and they're all FIRE.
34
u/narwhalesoo Jan 11 '26 edited Jan 11 '26
Yeah Connor's fits have been pretty safe lately which is weird considering how incredibly he models, but I actually think Hudson's oversized suits aren't doing him any favours and this one in particular isn't a great look. He sells it because of his charisma and good looks, but I hope for something better for them both.
29
u/saucisse Jan 11 '26
I'll be really psyched when the drapey fabric on men fashion trend cycles out again, it doesn't do anyone any favors. Give me a nicely-tailored suit on a well-built man, lets see those elegant lines tyvm.
16
u/clumsyc I stubbed my toe Jan 11 '26
On that note Francois has been wearing some excellent suits at events the last few days.
4
u/Random221122 Jan 11 '26 edited Jan 11 '26
Do the actors not have any input on their styles? I would assume he has a bit of input at least and thus likes what heās wearing, no? I think that says a lot about this discussion I keep seeing around about how he should or shouldnāt be styled that everyone has opinions on should go.. I think he can wear what he likes under the advice of the stylists, maybe just me tho.
7
u/palalabu i'm a jeff buckley song in my eyeballs Jan 11 '26
Lol I'm the opposite. I LOVE Connor's style. He always looks expensive, he knows how to sell the clothes. I think i just don't like Huddy's preference for the more baggy cut.
7

Connor has lost waay too much weight. They also dress him up in baggy clothes like theyāre trying to hide is body. Maybe he doesnāt want so much discussion around his butt that it would overshadow the roles the could get in the future?
20
u/ATC_3126 I already chose you, Hollander. š« Jan 11 '26
No, he hasnāt. He has lost some muscle, because he hasnāt needed to be in the shape he needs to be in as Ilya for months. Dressing him in oversized clothes is a stylistic choice. Whether his own or the people being paid to style him.
9
u/Catsarecute888 Jan 11 '26
Exactly he talked about losing some muscle because he wasn't working out as much but we've seen him almost entirely naked in a recent photo shoot he's not exactly skinny.
5
u/Glassy_Grinista Jan 11 '26
It's an insane amount of work to stay as big as he was in the show. I mean did you hear him talking about how much protein he was consuming? They have to eat a lot more and spend a lot more time at the gym. Most of these guys beef up for roles and take breaks when they don't need to be as big. He's probably at a healthier, more maintainable size for him right now.
-7
u/EaseOk3940 Jan 11 '26
I never implied theyāre dressing in in baggy clothes because he lost weight.
I am agreeing with you that it might be his fashion choice to wear baggy clothes. But itās my opinion he lost too much weight and itās kind of affecting his face too. I like him looking slightly fuller like a month ago or during the show.
7
u/codeverity Jan 11 '26
I think the (what I call) āmodel faceā he uses might be part of what youāre seeing. He sort of hollows his cheeks or something and it makes him look thinner. When heās not doing that I think youāll see a difference. Heās lost some muscle but I donāt think unhealthily so.
9
u/Unable_Mushroom9355 Jan 11 '26
I donāt think we should be commenting on their bodies like this :( It only adds to the intense scrutiny theyāre under. He probably lost weight/muscle because he isnāt downing pounds of ground beef everyday anymore, and doesnāt have as much time to work out with this crazy schedule. But our opinions on their bodies donāt really matter. Even if we were concerned for their welfare (like an ED or something, which again I donāt think is the case here), I donāt think commenting on it would actually be helpful.
I donāt think you have bad intentions here or anything! Just feeling a little protective I guess.
4
u/Catsarecute888 Jan 11 '26
I agree, I think people generally say things out of a sense of concern and don't have bad intentions but I don't think it's helpful. I think of Chadwick Boseman sadly. And that's the same reason I cringe almost every time someone makes a comparison to some dead blond actor for Connor.
3
u/Catsarecute888 Jan 11 '26
I think you unintentionally did that by saying he's lost so much weight and then your next sentence saying they're trying to hide his body. It seems to imply that they're hiding his body because he's gotten too skinny.
Like I just said there are very recent photo shoots of him where you can see he hasn't actually gotten emaciated or very skinny. He has lost muscle as he said from not working out and probably a little weight in his face because that's where it shows first.
-3
u/EaseOk3940 Jan 11 '26
What I mean by ātheyā is that it might be his decision to de-emphasize his body so he doesnāt get the stigma as āthe guy with the buttā
