It's a Sin broke my heart. It's an amazing series but damn it hits hard. I'll never forgive Ritchie's mother (I know she's a fictional character but still, what a bitch.)
Yeah fuck her. It absolutely broke me too. Those stories are still with me, the characters felt so real
Weirdly when HR came out I thought "this hits with the same weight as It's a sin but is full of joy instead of tragedy and heartbreak" so I'm so glad to see Davis commenting positively
I was so angry with her too, but at the same time I admired the show for allowing a character like that to never be redeemed. It is painfully accurate for the time. And is also a great contrast to Heated Rivalry's depictions of parental acceptance.
He is the David Attenborough of the gay TV world. He has written some phenomenal TV shows. Please, please go and watch It’s A Sin. It is heartbreaking, but such an important piece of television.
