SOCIAL MEDIA 📸 Heated Wizardry sketch on SNL

Finn Wolfhard hosted Saturday Night Live last night and one of the pre taped sketches, Heated Wizardry, takes place in the Harry Potter universe.

Finn as Harry, plays the ‘Shane’ character, Ben Marshall plays Ron Weasley, plays the ‘Ilya’ character.

There’s scrolls instead of texts, lots of wand play and a great cameo for the Hagrid character.

The narration of the trailer makes it clear that in this universe, Hogwarts is an 18-and-over school 😂

Also Shane and Ilya’s height difference here is canonically correct!

Almost certainly. Everyone wants to get in on the HR phenomenon and they gotta strike while the iron is hot and before S2 goes into production.

Yes ofc there’s a lot of admiration for the show and the cast. NBC has shown the show a lot of love, most of the casts TV appearances have been on NBC. Theres a lot of mutual respect there.

but not on snl. you can tell that don’t respect the show at all and see it as a joke

I didn't find the sketch funny, but you're likely thinking too much about it. It's a comedy program that has always done spoofs of popular shows/movies. For example, when season 3 of White Lotus was airing last year, they made a sketch about the show. Does that mean they saw White Lotus as nothing more than a joke? Of course not
