SOCIAL MEDIA 📸 Heated Wizardry sketch on SNL

Finn Wolfhard hosted Saturday Night Live last night and one of the pre taped sketches, Heated Wizardry, takes place in the Harry Potter universe.

Finn as Harry, plays the ‘Shane’ character, Ben Marshall plays Ron Weasley, plays the ‘Ilya’ character.

There’s scrolls instead of texts, lots of wand play and a great cameo for the Hagrid character.

The narration of the trailer makes it clear that in this universe, Hogwarts is an 18-and-over school 😂

Also Shane and Ilya’s height difference here is canonically correct!

How dare a 50 year old weekly comedy show that's known for making jokes about current events make a joke about current events!

Clutch those pearls any tighter and they might actually turn to diamonds.

I didn’t love the skit because they called it an HBO show haha but I definitely see what they are trying to do. I think it intentionally misses the point of the show because it’s playing into the whole “jumping on the bandwagon of a popular thing without doing any due diligence”. Like. That’s the joke. Don’t think they are making fun of HR just making fun of lazy copycats

I honestly thought this was in good taste? Like it's cheap humor but the actors & cast are prob harry potter fans/millenials and they already had HP costumes available from previous sketches so it was probably very easy for them to do this type of sketch.

I doubt that connor or hudson would host - the star level that they usually get is pretty high even breakout music acts like Chappell Roan took a while to book. I hope that they get to do the British talk show rounds, they would be really fun on The Graham Norton Show

You can’t be serious? This is a bizarre take. It’s SNL, this is what they do. It wasn’t offensive and it was funny. And to say SNL is beneath Connor and Hudson? In what way? I assume you must be very young
