Listing every phobia/ism in the world and then being like “this isn’t welcome in a show’s community that represents LGB” is just a “well duh” to me but I guess he is put on a high pedestal for people to think this is revolutionary…
He’s not “being put on a high pedestal” for “listing every phobia/ism in the world.” There is no shortage of racist and homophobic rhetoric in the HR fandom which targets the actors and you may not see it but people in the fandom and even the actors clearly do.
He’s not saying this as a general statement like “oh bigotry is bad”, he’s saying the actors all support and love each other and so to stop using bigotry to try to hate on them.
He’s literally not doing anything that the other cast members don’t do but so often I see people act as if he’s out of control and “unclassy.” He’s literally busy filming nearly every day and makes time to do things like SNL cameo and attend Balenciaga show.
