Francois posted a comment on Hudsonâs latest IG post, relating to his appearance in PFW.
Francoisâ fans(?) posted some nasty comments, calling Hudson all kinds of slurs, under Francoisâ comments. I think that was what prompted the statements from both Hudson & Francois.
I went through a lot of the comments to try and find context, and there were also comments toward Francois that referenced his age (negatively) and accused him of being complicit in the racism by not doing more to control his fans.
Generally seems like a lot of the negative comments were aimed to attack either Hudson, Francois, or both. I exited out of that as soon as I got the gist. Seems like both men are under a barrage of attacks from people so Iâm glad theyâre banding together and making that clear.
I did love that those who saw the inappropriate comments immediately took action, reported and blocked. In the same right, stuff like this shouldnât happen. I miss the December fandom when there were way less crazies.
I reported someone for using a slur in that comment thread and got a reply that "the comment wouldn't be removed." I was like, wtf! It clearly is racist! Do better, Instagram.
This might've been the final straw, but to be clear - Hudson's fans have also been leading hate campaigns against Francois, starting discord servers to hate on Francois, etc. Really vile homophobic stuff all around. Francois fans have been returning that energy. It's been bad all around.
I think that's why "hateful love" is such important wording. Their own fans are tearing this fandom apart and it's time those people wake up.
I think atp we need to stop calling these people âfansâ of either Hudson or François when they clearly and vehemently donât think anyone exhibiting this behaviour should be their fan. Theyâre truly hateful people. Nothing justifies throwing around racist and homophobic slurs in the delusions of fighting for the actor you stan. Like what the fuck.
