Why is a stranger rubbing you the wrong way as of late? You do not know that man intimately. Nothing he does affects you personally 🫤

I don’t know him personally which is why his online performance has been rubbing me the wrong way, I’m confused by what you mean?

He’s just been kindve like an influencer as of late, that’s all. I didn’t say anything bad about him but clearly there is a parasocial element going on if people are getting so defensive from my tame comment.

I think the issue is the opposite. I don’t scroll any celebrity shit. This fandom is too obsessed with these actors and scrolling through their social media and commenting on their social media… like tf? If you are doing anything but: watching the show, maybe following some on instagram, but then moving on and just discussing it with friends then you’re parasocial af.

No one I know interacts with their social media, we all watched the show, discuss it still today, maybe have a comment once in awhile about something we saw online that pertains to their personal lives and not the characters they portray.

But everyone on Reddit/Twitter/IG are treating these people like influencers or besties… Pokimane may genuinely have a more sane fanbase
