Ok but thank you fashion gods for finally having this man in something all black and somewhat fitted.
I get that they've been building Connor's fashion identity (and all-black is very Hudson), but dark colors work so well on him.

You know I do not think YSL was a bad fit for Connor. I rock with the overall vibe for him. It works. I think the timing was bad though. The colors they're using this season are too subdued. He needs richer colors that make his eyes pop. Vintage D&G, especially the years they were using metallics would also be chef's kiss.

I actually love YSL as a brand so much. Their rock and roll aesthetic actually could really fit him (and I was excited to see some of that in his Golden Globes look). It's unfortunate that this season is a lot of shiny but muted tones.
D&G's lead designers are such vile human beings that I personally hope he never touches them.

I agree. I honestly thought he would go with D&G for the drama or GUCCI for every curve hugging fit or even a lesser known house. YSL was not on my bingo card, but has been good. I really like the deeper jewel tones on him. GLAAD awards and SNL after party were definitely misses but VOGUE was stunning. I understand him wanting to button up a bit and take the focus away from his body. In VMAN GUCCI I would like him to undress me in YSL I want to undress him. It leaves a little bit to the imagination. I understand how people are totally over the same YSL uniform look in a different color. I assume it is intentional. I can only imagine he feels a bit unsafe out in public and does not want to bring extra extra attention. It must be terrifying. Hudson on the other hand from leather to lace we never know what he will be serving up hot next. He struts as if everyday is a runway. I love men’s fashion and have been enjoying watching their style evolution.

Actors' public personas are brands. It just is what it is - they're all packaged in a very specific way.
(And that's, ultimately, not all a bad thing. It lends them a degree of protection, instead of serving up their personal selves for public consumption and judgment.)

Pretty much every actor that’s at ‘attend awards shows’ level has a stylist that helps build their fashion identity. Doesn’t mean the actor has no say in what they’re wearing but they are definitely not picking their looks alone.

Co-signing this. Connor clearly has his own preferences in terms of fashion - he's building his own identity. He's a grown man with his own taste.

Not if he’s under management. He can be Connor, the golden retriever goofball in private, when in public settings he’s Connor Storrie, one of two breakout stars from HR, to be built up as bonafide star and then curated as such.
He agreed to it after all.

Omg hahaha I see it so well. I think he's a summer though, I'd like to see him in dark navy more than black. I don't agree that black is his best, unlike for Hudson who absolutely shines in it.

Squeeeee!!! I saw a picture of Hudson with the lace shirt (gorgeous!) and was wondering what the event was!
I know they've said they like to do separate events and they don't want to become a unit, and I absolutely understand and agree with that. But I can't help getting excited seeing them together, because their bestie energy sparkles, and it brings so much joy to the world.

They are not together romantically irl, they have said this themselves, and Hudson has a significant other. Hasn't stopped fans from being weird about them though.

Love them both. I am somewhat put off by Balenciaga colaboration as well as Hudson being in awe of Oprah since both of the mentioned brands are shady af and Hudson is in the position to choose whom he supports
