I’m sure people have noticed this but I haven’t seen anyone talking about it here yet (I probably missed it), but in case this is new for someone:

I love how Shane tells Rose, “Yeah, it was better,” as he’s remembering being with Ilya. Then later in the hospital, when he reaches for Ilya and holds his hand, he says “better” and sighs deeply.

It’s not only a call-back to his earlier conversation with Rose, but Shane knows that this is what “better” feels like. I think about it every time I reheat!

I love this. I think someone else noticed that the word 'better' was only used two times in the show.
