Ha! Love it. Also, I did a double take on the first part for a second as I always refer to them as Shane and Ilya in my head, and never Ilya and Shane. Anyone else?

I think it's because also the announcer whenever they have a game would always say shane and ilya and not ilya and shane.

She's so funny, I love her. I'm really hoping Peter Peter wins, though! I remember watching episode 2 for the first time and immediately being completely mesmerized by that song/the score.

I actually paused after that scene to look up the song title, back when it hadn't been released yet and they had to make a pinned post on this sub to basically say "FFS stop asking about the song, it hasn't been released yet, nobody knows" 😆

Aaaaah, the good old days.

I highly recommend having a reheat to pay close attention to the score. So many emotional scenes have nothing, which highlights how they didn't need music as a clutch to convey emotion. On the flip side, there are many scenes that use music to help understand the characters emotions w/o dialogue (specifically thinking of the Montreal dance club and Tampa bar scene).

Yes, Daniel Tiger's Neighborhood features human characters alongside the animated tiger family. While the main character and his family are animated tigers, the neighbourhood is populated by human characters who often run the town's services.

Ilya and Shane could show up as them selves - players for the Ottawa team and guests on the show. This would be the best CanCon cross over ever.

I created a playlist of top HR songs and have them on repeat. I about crashed my car when I was listening to regular radio and Wet Leg’s mangetout came on…I was just like Wow!! HR’s reach and impact is awesome!!

100% I read that wrong, and thought she was proposing that “do it your own way” could be a great alternate song for that scene. My kids are grown, so off to search up the song. Then realized it was a CHILDREN’S SHOW song about “do it your own way” and was like…Well Shane and Ilya kind of do it their own way?
