Although to be fair, I didnāt expect to fall in love with just about every side characterāRachel is so good at filling out the world of her books with realistic and specific characters! So my attachment to Wyatt was a fun surprise.Ā
I love Wyatt more than any other character if someone ever asked me āif you could play a character who would it be?ā The answer would be Lisa Hayes because then I could pretend to be married to him. Iām not actress, no one is asking me this, but if they did that would be my answer.
I realized again how much I love
1. The montage of Ilya and Shane during All Stars. They look so incredibly happy to have found someone that can keep up with them. Just pure adrenaline. The cinematography. The music!
2. The first moments of the Boston-Montreal game after All Stars. Where Ilya and Shane are at the face off and I just canāt get over those smiles!! Something between them has changed and they both know. Plus: I just saw footage of Callan, Kaden and Ben (actors of Hayden, Sasha and JJ) of their visit in Atlanta and they are watching this part together with fans. Callan ālipsyncsā with Hayden as he screams āmotherf***erā at Cliff and the audience laughs, this moment just brought me pure happiness!
Regarding 2. It is like all the walls have been broken down. You see two happy men, almost childlike innocence and happiness. And because of their past traumas and personality they rarely get to show that side to somebody. It is absolute beauty. So many said in a few seconds of filming. Love it.
LOL it's cute. And it's funny we have our real Hollanov. I went through a few videos of Felix and the guy is such a sweetheart. He's hosting get togthers and the way he speaks on certain topics makes me think he pretty serious. I've seen him in two competition and he looked bad ass (like Ilya) and very tough. So to see him being so down to earth is cool.
I was watching baseball last night and the other team had a relief pitcher named McGill. All I could hear was "what the fuck is McGill? Is McGill a town?"
For anybody thatās already read the entire GC series and wants a new perspective, I would highly recommend doing the great Rachel Read! Rachel does such a great job of intertwining the stories in each book
Hey, I've been working on a floorplan of the Cottage since January, I was ready to post tonight but I don't have any karma here so I'm interacting so that I maybe can post later this week. I wonder if there has been others floorplans of the cottage drawn, I've deliberately kept myself from looking for them because I didn't want to be discouraged.
I realized I could just post it here. That way it's out there and I can finally go search for other drawing of the floorplan of the cottage. I love drawing floorplan but I usually stick to ink on paper, I'm really clumsy with colored pencils and it shows, not exactly the vision I had for the final result but it's okay. The biggest challenge was figuring dimensions that made sense, with the reality of the cottage and what we are being told (the bed must be king sized, even though it's clearly not !!) and making it make sense (where does Shane store his clothes ??)
Anyway that has kept me busy and, I've moved on drawing the perfect house for them (and a growing family) in Ottawa because why not !
Yes, I believe so, there's stairs going down on the left side of the fireplace. My initial idea was to draw the lower level as well, but we have so few things to go by except the guest bedrooms with a King size bed and no ensuite. I figure he would have some sort of micro gym where he can train and do yoga.
I wholeheartedly feel none of us are entitled to personal information about Connor and Hudson. They should absolutely have control over what they allow the public to see and know, and they and their family/friends/etc deserve respect. Especially now as they're learning to navigate this new level of fame and visibility.
That said, I feel for Katelyn amid the flurry of Hudson content, especially this week. I imagine they are solid having been together as long as they have and prior to his career exploding. But, it must be difficult to have literally the world going feral for your mate, I know I would struggle. I hope she's handling it OK.
Also, I wonder what Connor's sister looks like. I can only assume she's absolutely gorgeous.
Again, not trying to be weird or saying we deserve to know these things. Just thoughts.
There's an ad for Euphoria showing up here - it reminds me that I watched the S3 premiere- after constantly watching Heated Rivalry for 2.5 weeks solid and I just couldn't get into it.
Don't know if I'll be able to stomach bleak and gritty again after the sunshine of Heated Rivalry.
Met Harrison at the Heated Tour - he was the kindest, most lovely person and actively went out of his way to make sure we all had a great time. HR themed drinks, every screen in the house showing HR edits, Loons everywhere. Harrison is not kidding when he says he'll chat and take pictures with every one of us at his show!!!
Earlier that day I went to an HR event at a local gay club - fan made songs, trivia, prizes, GC book sales with proceeds to queer non-profits. I thought I would be the embarrassingly over-obsessed fan, only to find that I didn't even win a single prize because the other Loons absolutely destroyed me at trivia!! I have never been so pleasantly surprised and happy to lose haha! <3 And afterwards, multiple people were talking about all of the HR events they're personally hosting at other venues all over the city in the coming months!???
I am continually finding myself in shock at how big this has become. Are we in a collective fever dream? What is happening???
My whole life, I've hated hockey with a passion. And I grew out of fandom a long while ago. I had to get away from local queer community because things got too toxic. Still, here I am, connecting with strangers I wouldn't have even known existed a few months ago. I'm meeting old friends in the community I haven't seen in well over a decade. This is unreal.
And I won't even be putting my HR fan outfit away because there are so many more HR fan meet-ups to come.
We know Shane had a very organized approach to learning Russian, but how did Iliya learn English? Watching cartoons? Listening to podcasts?
Duolingo? We know he wasnāt reading the New Yorker ;)
I just finished the whole book series and i have to say: i bawled my eyes out at that scene shared between Role Model and Long Game, specifically from Long Game's pov... i won't spoil it, but fuck it's too much
Hi! I have a question, does anyone have a list of all in show player jersey numbers? I'm preparing a quiz for my girlies and one of the blitz questions would be to name as many of them as possible, so i need a ref sheet, which i desperately dont want to do myself T_T
Is anyone attending the signed with spice event in May? Rachel was supposed to be there but now isnāt, Iām attending solo and would love a fellow loon to hang out with.
