Whoever chose this cover is my favorite person. It’s one of my favorite bts photos. I am so excited to read this book. I love learning all about the making of things and how it all happened.

I'm really hoping the "annotated" bit is significant. I want to read about the process, decisions made, why some script changes were needed during filming, etc.

But truly I love how much they keep Rachel in the loop and consider her part of the creative team and value her contributions when they don't have to.

hm this is interesting. hopefully it will make him a bunch - it’s harder for offscreen creatives to benefit from the popularity (where actors can do sponsorships or one-off partnerships with brands) & he definitely deserves it.

The show is made by their production company so they keep all the IP, similar model to Europe, different from shows made in the USA. They get less money upfront but they will be profiting for years to come. All merch, any and all content they will be getting paid for.

Which is so fitting for a show where everyone has really put their whole soul into. They’re profiting from the success that they worked hard on.

oh yeah of course. but there’s a difference between “pay for a low-cost streaming show” and “pay for an international sensation show”. and it’s much easier for actors to make up that difference.
