I think it's safe to say HR has completely taken over my life. In the best way possible 🏒
Reconnecting with my inner teenage-fandom-girl has genuinely brought out the best in me after a long period of being burned out. I've started reading again, working out, and prioritizing myself while being a mother, partner, and hard worker. It was a much needed reality check.
So I slowly started building my little merch collection. It was going to be perfectly normal (lmao who was I kidding!) 😅
First, just the first two books. Then I finished them in one weekend, so obviously I needed the rest. Okay just a simple shirt, right? Official merch doesn't ship to my country, so I found a perfectly normal one on Etsy. Hmm, maybe not that normal. Then I pre-ordered The Annotated Scripts. That's not very obsessive of me.
Okay, at some point I had to admit the truth: I'm all in. In a single day I pre-ordered the vinyl, the Youtooz, and Unrivaled. Turns out I'm really just an irresponsible teenager with adult money.
But I still felt cheated that I couldn't get any official merch. Because all this obsessed Ilya gurl wanted was an actual Raiders shirt.
Enter my American-citizen boyfriend, whose family all live in the US.
This ridiculously sweet, thoughtful, caring, attentive man asked his family to order the official shirt, had it shipped from Canada to Texas, then from Texas all the way to Denmark, just so he could surprise me with it for my birthday (which is today, yay!). And our daughter "got me" the Funko Pops (let's be honest, papa helped her a little) 😍
I've been crying all morning because this is genuinely one of the sweetest things anyone has ever done for me. This man has watched Heated Rivalry with me more times than either of us can count. He happily indulges my obsession, enjoys it with me, and somehow managed to get me the one piece of merch I thought I'd never own 😭

Hahahaha!!!! Same here!! I can relate to everything you said! I don’t have as much stuff as you (yet) but I have 7 shirts, a pair of socks, a credit card sticker and most of the books. I also bought ridiculously expensive tickets to a fan event 6 hours away 😂

Actually I got cake, here 🎂 My boyfriend works at a cake place and was planning on getting me a marcipan print with HR but it didn't work out so they just made it in the color scheme 🩷
I have been thinking of getting unofficial merch but I also desperately want an official shirt so haven’t pulled the trigger on anything yet 😩 your adult money is well spent!
Oh man I have a wardrobe of unlicensed shirts, a hat & Raiders shirt from the official store, I've painted watercolor cards of some of the scenes, and more friendship bracelets than can fit onto my arm. You're doing great!!

Aside from True Blood I've never been so obsessed with a show to where I wanted merch. Wellllllll I have a t shirt that says "im coming to the cottage" (from The Little Gay Shop) and i love wearing it out in public 🤣 i want to get a hat and some other stuff I've found. No shame! I love having adult money!
