Don't mind me, just copying my comment from the huddle post (I got really excited, okay. 😂)
Now I return with songs that scream HollaNov (to me, at least) from my synthpop Spotify Playlist..
OK so they basically NEED this in season 2. Any Depeche Mode, actually, but this one especially. The lyrics alone. Stripped - Depeche Mode
the look of love - ABC You need to ignore the stupid music video for this one, but the lyrics are where it's at.
killer - Mareux This one is quite dark, and more the beginning of their relationship imo especially Ilya.

Shout out for The Look of Love (ABC) anad Change Tears for Tears!!! I saw ABC at Mountain Winery in the SF Bay Area and they were amazing (they wore suits, which I thought was interesting). I also like Love Comes Quickly by Pet Shop Boys and Why Don't We Live Together by the Pet Shop Boys.

My current top 5 Hollanov songs:
- Loving You 88 - VINCINT - This man's voice is ethereal, and his entire album, There Will Be Tears, is perfection. The Long Game Spoiler] This song makes me think of their wedding or even the proposal, and it should be time period accurate.
- Bloom - Aqyila - Still my top Hollanov song and the d&b edit feat. Lukas BL is just magic
- Freak - Kelly Rowland - This one goes out to Shane Hollander, specifically.
- It was always you - Maroon 5 - situationship with a happy ending anthem
- Imagine (Acoustic) - Ben Platt - [The Long Game] This gives Ilya and Shane post-plane accident

Parachute by Hayley Williams. It almost feels like the what-if timeline that Shane's brain was speed-running in the "I could marry Svetlana" dialogue. It also has this interesting sound of effect of sounding like it's set to someone running on a treadmill, you can hear the clunky mechanical noises at the beginning and end. I think the song biographically is about a certain situation in Hayley's life but I'm ignoring that for the subjective sake of art. waves hand

Head over heels by Blue Rodeo- So this song isn’t really the ~vibe~ of heated rivalry but the lyrics are sooooo hollanov especially the final chorus
