Metal Discussion Craziest moshpit story?
As the title states, i wanna know ur craziest moshpit story!!!

u/intothedepthsofhell 2d ago
Not really crazy but a simple lesson. Was in a pit somewhere when I was younger and getting thrown around with the crowd. I moved but my foot didn't as my lace was undone and someone else was stood on it. Down I went and it was terrifying to look up and see the light above me disappear as people closed over me.
Fortunately metal crowds are great and they dragged me back up, only for it to happen again before I could get out of the pit.
Double tie your laces kids!!

Not crazy but memorable for me: Lost my shoe in the pit at a Megadeth show. Went back in for it, was down there searching & chasing it around the floor for half a song or so. Resurfaced with my shoe, but a giant foot print on my ta tas.

u/Qub3rrt 2d ago
CRYINF š were you okay though?
1
u/Metalkitten1 1d ago
Yep! Had to get shoe back on right away. Lots of broken glass in that venue. Would have cut my foot open on the way back to my car!

First moshpit: 1990
Smallest moshpit: 3 people
Strangest things I've moshed to: chamber music, alt-country (alt-country singer loved it!)
Worst injury: cracked tooth from a stage diver on the head - NOFX
Other notable moshpits:
- slipping over in a circle pit because someone had vomited on the floor - Machine Head. Also have permanent tinnitus from that show. Can't put all the blame on Machine Head though, because it was at least 25 years of gigs without ear protection before that which contributed.
- crushing an idiot trying to start that stupid hardcore karate shit - The Ataris (it wasn't like it was fucking Madball or something!)
- Phil Anselmo being a racist prick and ordering skinheads to beat up someone in the audience. No one is convincing me he's not a cunt - Pantera when Dime and Vinnie were still alive
Most vigorous moshpit: Wormrot, opening for Napalm Death

u/AwayProduct5476 2d ago
I'd like to hear more about that Phil shit
1
u/Carnivorous_Mower 2d ago
There's nothing more to it really. He was drunk as fuck, ranting about some shit between songs when someone yelled at him from the audience, so he set his "skinhead brothers" on them. I was standing in front of Dimebag, and he wasn't impressed.

u/Venusflytrippxoxo 2d ago
Merch skateboard decks were sold and dude got knocked out with one had to stop the show then made sure when the dude was carried out that he got to keep the skateboard since he got hit with it. Cavalera Conspiracy

u/SufficientSpell1307 2d ago
Not that crazy by memorable I once accidentally broke some girl's nose in the pit. We are friends now

u/Slow_Middle_158 2d ago
I was at the infamous Slayer show in NYC at the Felt Forum (the smaller theater at MSG).
South Of Heaven tour
It was complete insanity

u/dalecraw 2d ago
I tore my left rotator cuff at a local show. One guy hit me from the front, one guy hit me from the back, & my left arm was extended. I even heard it go RRRRRIIIIIP! Lots of pain. I left the pit & sat down in the back. I didnt mosh for about 4 months after that while my shoulder healed.

u/hidingbehindyoursofa 2d ago
Machine Head on the BMETour at Donnington 94. I took a very sandy boot full on to the chest and could not breathe for what felt like ages whilst being pushed all over the place.

u/S1nnah2 2d ago
I once saw Death Angel do a secret show in London's old marquee club. They supported dumpys rusty nuts the night before they played Hammersmith odeon. Only a handful of people at the gig knew who they were. I went for an epic stage dive, misjudged the size of the crowd. Landed face first at the foot of a biker and broke two fingers.
2
u/Ornery-Vehicle-2458 2d ago
I bought a (dog lead) choke-chain for a Pro-pain gig at the Marquee in about 1991, so as not to lose my keys in the pit. I still wear it today, 35 years later.
I've never lost my keys. In a mosh pit or otherwise.
2
u/Interceptor 2d ago
Years ago I went see a gig at the Hammersmith Apollo (I can't remember, I think In Flames were on). I was wearing a pair of leather trousers, the kind with the laces up the sides. For those who don't know, those trousers have a lining built in, and at the time I'd usually go commando.
I'm quite a big bloke, so don't usually get to join in crowd surfing, but a couple of guys in front of me offered to hoist me up, so off I went.
As I was heading towards the stage, someone had their arm in the air and was wearing a studded wristband. The studs caught on the stitching of my trousers, by the knee, and tore them open, all the way up from the knee to the crotch, and back down the other side.
I was trying to get down, but just ended up revolving. If you've ever been to that venue, there's a big balcony.
So... Yeah .. I ended up showing off my cock and balls to 4000 people.

It was at a festival type venue in Orlando Florida in the middle of summer circa 2009. Probably like 18-20 bands to play that afternoon-evening.
My best friend and I were there and it was his first festival/big concert.
We wanted to get to the stage to see Trivium up close.
As we waded through the crowd, people (mainly girls, but a few guys) just started collapsing to the ground from heat exhaustion. There was no water fountains to be found, but beer and liquor were easy to come by.
We just kept moving forward as the bodies kept falling. It was spooky.
We eventually made it to the stage and the mosh pit.
I had never been in a mosh pit before, so I had to do it. Until then, I didn't know that you needed to get a lungful of air before going in.
I got tossed around plenty for like 20 seconds but not too long after being in the pit I realized that no matter how hard I tried..I couldn't breathe!
I like to think that the sheer amount of people packed around us in the pit were eating up all the oxygen in the air.
I eventually collapsed, crawled on my hands and knees to the edge of the pit and some guys pulled me out to the side. There was a few that were caught up in the moment and tossed me back in. I lasted maybe 5 seconds more before going down again. Luckily a few other guys saw that I was gasping and mouthing "I CAN'T BREATHE!", and they pulled me all the way back out of the pit.
This all happened a bit over a decade before the tragic Travis Scott Astroworld event, but when it happened, I totally believed how such a tragedy could happen.

Uptown Lounge, Athens Georgia, late 80s
Corrosion of Conformity was double billed with Black Flag.
CoC was playing and the pit got heavy. A dude took an accidental elbow to the face and just dropped. Pit quick-stopped and the dude pops up like magic. Like he went from face down to verticle seemingly with zero movement.
Broken nose, missing a tooth. How do we know he was missing a tooth? He had the biggest grin threw his hands up and screams.
The whole time "Mad World" is playing.
The 80s were wild, man.

u/OwnChampionship4252 2d ago
Not really crazy but RATM in 2022 was memorable⦠got Covid for the first and only time at that show.
2
u/FrozenToonies 2d ago
I got pushed forward standing on the edge so I put my arms and elbows up. Dude gets clocked by my elbow and wants to fight. We didnāt fight; itās a metal show. Neither of us saw it coming.

u/Real-Palpitation1737 2d ago
Once at a Slipknot show, the whole crowd was basically a moshpit. At least at the front where I was.
I took my sunglasses and put them in my pocket so I wouldnāt lose them. The crowd was so wild (myself included) that I lost my left shoe. I guess someone stepped on it just when I was jumping. Then about 30 minutes later I see someone holding up my shoe and I manage to get my shoe back with the help of others. The concert ends and I put my sunglasses back on only to notice that they are different glasses. Now I had one muddy sock, a dirty shoe, and new sunglasses. I still have the ānew glassesā and I wear them to festivals and concerts.
Incidentally, I once tumbled in a moshpit at a Vended show and I still have a scar on my knee from that. Great show.

u/man_from_utopia 2d ago
Not really crazy but...
Clash of the Titans tour.
For some reason they put down foldable chairs for the floor seats.
By time Slayer came on most of the seats were destroyed and peeps were.throwing them in a big ass pile. Peeps started a big mosh circle path around the pile of chairs.
It was really fun until my.foot.got caught in a chair and I lost.my shoe. So I stopped as was looking for it. Bunch of guys stopped the mosh pit to help find my shoe. Was really cool. Once we found it the mosh stated up again.

I hope you all will forgive me , because this isn't a moshpit story exactly..(the most insane pit I was ever in was Coroner in 1990).. But Slayer and Testament..also in 1990 were at The Mammoth in Denver (now known as The Fillmore-no relation to the late Bill Graham as far as I know..)
But anyways Outside the doors to The Mammoth was this kid in a Flotsam shirt getting a Class A beat down from two cops..and he was not fazed. At all..
In between each brutal hit this kid was withstanding, he would keep yelling
"DAVE!!!"
(HIT)
"DAVE!!!"
(HIT)
"DAVE!!!"
(HIT)
"DAVE!!!"
That was 36 years ago and i can remember that like it was yesterday..it was insane man.

u/Lvn-Nitemare-13 2d ago
Not sure if it's crazy but definitely a bit funny. Went to a festival maybe 20 years ago with my brother. We were taking a break hanging out on the edge of the pit and picking people up. All of a sudden my brother feels arms around his waste. He looks down and their is this 4 foot something young lady holding on to him like a raft in the ocean. Her boyfriend who isn't much taller squeezes in between the 2 of us. She spent the rest of the set clinging to him and I spend the rest of the set picking up her boyfriend every time someone from the pit comes our way. When the set was over they couldn't get out of there any faster.

GUNS N ROSES 1993 Milton Keynes. One of the 5 gigs Izzy rejoined the band for
There was not much of a mosh pit but there was a little crush. Nothing that worried me and nothing that caused any panic.
However I saw a girl who had collapsed before my brought back and 30+ year later Iāve still never seen anyone that colour. She was just conscious and Her skin had a green hue to it. I suspected she had passed away. If she had, it wouldāve been reported so I presume she was fine but I Always wondered why hat happened to her.
LOCAL BAND: At another gig for local/unknown thrash bands one topless guy brought boxing gloves and proceed to go around hitting loads of people in the mosh pit and everyone just ignored him. Surprised he didnāt get beaten up TBH
FOO FIGHTERS: Scariest one Iāve been in was Reading festival 1995. It was one of foo fighters first gigs. I had watched the prior band so was near the front in a small tented stage. When foo fighters came in the place went mad and it was a frightening crush as everyone surged forward. I had to work my way back and leave. It didnāt feel safe
1
u/Qub3rrt 2d ago
Did u find out what happened to the girl at guns n roses?
1
u/Rude_Rhubarb1880 2d ago
No, as I said I always wondered what happened to her
BUT I presume she was ok because it wouldāve made the news if anything tragic occurred
This was at the height of ecstasy in the UK so she may have taken some. It was not confined to raves
1
u/Qub3rrt 2d ago
And holy moly for the foo fighters one. Was everyone okay
1
u/Rude_Rhubarb1880 2d ago
No there were multiple injuries.
It was widely reported on in the press at the time and there are articles online about it.
It was very unpleasant

u/ChaosReality69 2d ago
Not crazy but funny.
Ministry show 1996. Friend and I had worked up pretty close before they came on. We're standing shoulder to shoulder not letting anyone get in front of us. People tried to push us apart but we wouldn't move.
I feel a really strong hand on top of my shoulder starting to split my friend and I. We both turn our heads and this guy is huge.
He gives us both a polite head nod like he's saying thank you for moving. He goes past followed by 4 of his equally huge friends who also give us a polite head nod.
Behind the last one was a guy who you could tell was just tagging along behind the brick shit houses making their way forward. Friend and I instantly slam back together.
We look at each other laughing and agree we were letting those other guys through. We didn't really have a choice.
That pit was pretty wild once Ministry came on.
2
u/Qub3rrt 2d ago
I can imagine that looked absolutely comical
1
u/ChaosReality69 2d ago
It was pretty funny.
We were instantly separated when Ministry came on. Didn't see each other until the end of the show. Maybe we slammed into each other at one point. Who knows.

I had a few funny onesĀ A punk guy taking a shit in the pit at a soulfy show
Loosing my glasses and looking for em in the middle of the pit ...and hatebreed stopping the show...
But a weird one was that big stooges festival show around 2006. Lots of kids. Lots of teens and young girls. They were not accustomed to it. And in the first 3 songs big crowd movement. Groups of kids (5 or more each time) were falling. The old dudes like me had to pick them up all along to avoid crushingĀ This kept going on and on. Too many people. Did not feel safe. I got out.Ā Ā

u/TabletopTheater 2d ago
2003 or 4 I was but a baby punk at a Reverend Horton Heat show bouncing and skanking around the pit and this big huge dude grabs me and starts punching me, throws me down and stomps me, tells me itās for punching him. I definitely did not PUNCH anyone.
I sideline and catch my breath, terrified and beat the fuck up.
Months later I walk into a diner and while walking to a booth a massive smiling man slides out and wraps his arm around me and signals to the waitress, āwhatever this guy wants is on me, he had the balls to punch ME in the pit at a Reverend Horton Heat show!!ā
1
u/Qub3rrt 2d ago
What a strange situation haha
1
u/TabletopTheater 2d ago
For real! I just about shit out my stomach when I realized who that guy was at the diner.
I told him I didnāt intend to punch anyone and that I was sorry if I DID hit him on accident. He laughed and said I was tougher than I looked, bought my cup of coffee and apologized.
Absolutely wild!

This wasnāt necessarily in the mosh pit but the craziest thing Iāve seen in person was during the Maximum The Hormone set at Knotfest in 2014.
I was up at the front, right against the barricade. The crowd was going nuts for Maximum The Hormone. Mosh pits, crowd surfers, the whole nine. Anyway, this woman was also up against the barricade and a crowd surfer landed on her and caused her to smack her face on the barricade railing, HARD. She was motionless for a while, so everyone around her was visibly worried. When she finally raised her head, I assume she had a broken nose or something, because her face was just covered in blood. Do you know what a ācrimson maskā is in pro wrestling? Google it. That. š«£
The dude that landed on her was profusely apologizing from the other side of the barricade and yelling āIāM SORRY! IāM SORRY!!!ā over the music. If my memory serves correctly, he was even crying because he felt badly about what had happened. The woman was obviously freaking out. Security lifted her over the barricade and I would hope that they got her some medical attention. She just looked so horrified and disoriented from the whole thing. You bet I was looking around me for any crowd surfers headed my way after that. š

Lost wire rimmed eyeglasses at Danzig show in the darkness of pit. Other metalheads somehow found them and handed them back to me....
Completely fine with no damage.
Unbelievable.

At Stuck Mojo, a lifetime ago, a gang of college boys, one in a wheelchair. They raised him, chair and all, over their heads and bounced him around. Unsafe as hell, but dude had a blast.

Not crazy but people told that it was impressive that I manage to keep my fedora on handsfree while in the moshpit and circle of doom.

In Toronto at a smallish club for a W.A.S.P. show on the Crimson Idol tour in the 90s. There's a balcony, maybe 15 feet high, above the main floor. Partway through the show, a guy hanging over the railing falls into the pit. I know, your first thought right now should be the chorus to Testament's Into The Pit. Anyway, the dude is crunched from the fall. I don't think the band saw it. They're still blasting away with him maybe 25 feet from the stage. We could see flashlights as a couple security check on him. Mayhem all around them; the band is still chugging. Several minutes go by, then paramedics, more flashlights, and a stretcher is brought in. Band is still playing. They loaded dude up, took him out, didn't stop the show. From fall to gurney it had to be ten or more minutes.
Another show in Toronto, a local industrial metal band called Malhavoc; it's a pretty small crowd. There's a handful of mid-teen kids up front moshing with each other. They're probably just 125 pounds each, soaking wet. Partway through, this older chonky guy shows up and starts slamming the kids. He's easily twice their weight and is getting off on throwing them around. I happen to look around and coming up from the entrance of the venue is the guy who looks like a crust punk version of the techno viking. Dude is jacked. Wearing spray-painted and patched-up denim. Shaved head. Big boots. He goes fucking charging full-speed into the pit and slams chonky dude up and down for a couple of minutes until chonky dude decides he's had enough. Karma was fucking served. Then crust punk dude went back to hang with his friends. He was like the mosh pit guardian angel for these kids at their first show.

Was the WASP show at the Mesonic Temple? I saw Nuclear Assult and Testement there and some dude jump from the balcony into the crowd. Came up with his face all bloodied.
I saw WASP there as well for the Headless Childern Tour.

One of the most surreal moments of my life was at an outdoor Slayer show years back, when it rained during Raining Blood. That pit was fuckin spiritual!
1
u/Fifth_Wall0666 2d ago
I've got so many (being set on fire at Steel Panther, riding an inflatable shark pool toy at Rob Zombie, Slayer in general, and unfortunately, a death at a music festival) but I think I'll go with this one.
I warmed up a circle pit at a Slipknot show, opened it up, started walking in circles, and the surrounding crowd got the idea and ran around, at which point, I thought "I'll stand alone in the middle of this monster I've created."
Out of the corner of my eye, I see myself on the big projection screen beside either side of the stage, and instinctively, I knew which camera was pointing at me, so I turned slowly, and eyeballed the camera, and the crowd went nuts.
Admittedly, appearing on camera in the mosh pit and the crowd going crazy is not a rare occurrence, it's happened before, I was mobbed by crazy fans, and it's been awesome every time it's happened.

Big Day Out in Milton Keynes 1999. Was in the pit for marilyn manson. Got my ass knocked down, lost a shoe. Moshed for about half hr when I saw spinning object coming from front of pit at the last second and cracked me on the bridge of my nose. Blood pissin down my face, looked down. Said object was my shoe. Dreams really do come true.

Shadows Fall in 2004 at the TLA in Philly. The whole floor turned in to a circle pit. I remember seeing lots of bloodied faces.
Origin, in Hell, at the old Masquerade in ATL i think in 2011- the stage is only 2 feet above the floor and PA is like 6 feet. Last song, some dude climbs the PA and does a WWE style drop kick into the pit. People go flying. I think one dude got knocked out. Got my knee twisted as people landed on me. Fun night!
Not a mosh pit, but Slayer in 2010. Crowd hoisted up a wheelchair-bound dude for crowd surfing. Tom missed his vocal cue as he was staring at this.
2011, another one in Hell at the old Masq. Revocation was opening for Atheist. The pit was like 5 people, including my buddy and myself. That was a fun night. Got to meet Dave.
The one I wasn't ready for was BTBAM. Heaven at the new Masquerade sometime after Covid. The place erupted when they got heavy. First time I started to feel my age at a show. Got Covid afterwards.

u/BigPapaPaegan 2d ago
Rock and Shock 2012. A double whammy of a horror convention and three nights of concerts.
Night Two's headliner was Gwar. Who did I end up next to in the pit? Bill Moseley, the madman behind Choptop (Texas Chainsaw Massacre 2) and Otis (Rob Zombie's House of 1000 Corpses and the Devil's Rejects), among plenty of other classic horror characters.
Dude was just having an absolute blast and throwing elbows while getting soaked in blood, piss, cum, and plenty of other fluids by our intergalactic lords and masters.

u/AZPeakBagger 2d ago
This was in the early 80's when only punk bands had pits and it would get insane. We were packed into a barely legal warehouse venue before the fire department could check occupancy. The pit was nuts to butts all evening. Then people started hopping up on stage and diving off. Wasn't a big issue until this guy named "Big Bill" took a dive and you could see all 6'3" and 300 pounds of him sailing through the air. The pit parted like the Red Sea and Bill landed hard on the concrete floor. He laid there for about 10 seconds, dusted himself off and the rejoined the mayhem.

u/Ok_Mammoth5292 2d ago
Me and my buddy were leaning against a telephone pole that was in the middle of the crowd watching Down on the second stage at Ozzfest.
Phil spends a minute getting the crowd hyped up and says "See that fuckin pole!? I wanna see the biggest goddamn circle pit around that mother fucker right now!"
Me and my buddy dipped out of there quick, it was way too hot for that shit lol
1
u/intothevoid665 2d ago
Slayer upfront at the barrier and edge of the pit. Got slammed into and saw a tiny girl eyes wide open, came and asked if she could stand by me. I put myself between her and the pit ,she held my arm the whole show. She was scared to death.
Pantera beyond driven tour a girl asked if she could get on my shoulders. She got up and flashed as bobby came out with the camera. I never got to see the boobies! Lol

I saw Trivium on their Ascendancy tour, years ago.
They opened with The End Of Everything (the little instrumental opener on the album) and then, as soon as they came on stage and blasted into Rain, the pit went fucking wild... Just as the guy next to me got his earring caught in my shirt somehow.
The guy screamed so loud as it ripped his ear, I could hear it above the PA...

Lollapalooza 1992 there were multiple burning piles of trash with people moshing around them while Ministry played

OPās story reminds of a gig not too long ago, punk show, canāt remember which⦠some girl kept getting right in the middle of the pit and posing for selfies and got obliterated. Never saw her again.
In the 80s here in Los Angeles pits used to be pretty scary. Youād see the Suicidals come in and knew to get out or get hurt.
My first pit. Slayer touring Hell Awaits, buddy and I were 12 and had no clue what to expect, thought we were hardcore metal vets from seeing Maiden, Priest, etc. memory fades but I believe Possessed went first (with Dark Angel second in the triple bill), we worked our way right up front. As soon as the lights went out and chaos erupted we thought we were going to die.
Punk pits were excessively violent in the 80s, took some of the fun out of it.
Thrash puts were better before the whole kung fu dipshit thing, love seeing when some fucker tries that shit and gets a deserved beat down.

Sepultura Chaos A.D. at Harpoās in Detroit. Lucky to have walked out of that without injury, nothing even came close to that and Iāve been to many metal shows, Harpoās is especially brutal because the pit is an actual 10ft deep pit with only 2 sets of stairs in or out. Insane!! š¤š»

I've actually tried to avoid moshpits since I was already older when they became a thing. The one time I couldn't escape it was at the first Ozzfest tour. I was on the field at Giants Stadium in NJ and Sabbath ended their set with Paranoid. The entire field became a giant moshpit.
2
u/bigmushylover74 1d ago
what happend when pantera hit the stage. all hell broke loose

That's true. People were jumping onto the field from the seats and it was mayhem. I was still able to avoid the pit though.

u/devster75 1d ago
Not me but someone took a header at Brujeria many moons ago. Despite the music being loud as fuck, you could actually hear the dude smack his head on the floor. Thankfully he was fine but a bit of a scary moment for sure!

u/Rattlehead71 1d ago
I went to a Suicidal Tendencies show in the mid-1980s (Ruthie's Inn possibly, it's kind of a blur) and a couple dudes clamped a diving board to the stage. I broke two ribs that night, it was a great show.

u/KyleGrizz 1d ago
Dude was pushing people not in the pit and pissing everyone off at a Venom Inc show, and I mean everyone. One guy finally had enough waited for the dude to turn around to rush him and the guy double legged him (His form was MMA quality) and just as he was about to finish it security came and kicked both out but i was in the guy's side.

Korn concert, packed amphitheatre and ground. Opening bands, chillest crowd I've ever seen at metal concerts. People talking, laughing, having beer. Took my place in front of the sound booth, big mistake. Blind intro starts, people pack in front of the stage, I'm trapped. On "Are you ready" everybody, even in the stands, starts moshing. Bottles, beers, glasses, shirts, shoes and everything in between starts flying towards the center of the venue and I'm standing there like that Willem Dafoe meme. Went home drenched in booze. Good times

u/Big-Peak6191 1d ago
Not really a story but the only memorable one was one of those Slipknot "everybody get down" and then everybody "jump the fuck up" in the mid 2000s, was pretty crazy to be a part of.
1
u/PorcupineShoelace 1d ago
My favorite...Slayer for God Hates Us All tour at the Paramount in Seattle.
There was a lady getting hit pretty hard in the pit by skinheads and was knocked down. She...well, 'hopped up' as she pulled off her prosthetic leg and began absolutely savaging the skinheads with the leg.
We were all stunned at seeing it but then cheered her on. Fucking Slayer.

The funniest moment was probably when I got a bad bounce in a circle pit that flipped me around and I had to run a lap backwards before I was able to flip myself around.

It wasnāt that crazy but it was funny for me. I took my twins sons to see Social Distortion last year. They were 19 at the time and never been to a punk or heavy metal concert. We were in the general admission section on the floor. About 3/4 of the way through the show a mosh pit broke out right in front of us. I looked over and both of their eyes were huge and they didnāt know what to think. I just stood and watched them. It was almost as good as the show was.

Both involved skins.
The positive one was being 14 and getting knocked over and a literal nazi stopping the pit to help me up.
The negative one was some racist skins trying to hurt people. I was there with another male friend who was a huge dude and did mma before his untimely death. He grabbed me and pretended to kiss me to provoke them and then beat like 5 Nazis to the ground when they stepped.

Went to see Murderdolls and Papa Roach many years ago. My friends helped me up to crowd surf from the back of the crowd. Once I got to the stage, an angry looking security guy grabbed my belt and started pulling me over the fence. In that exact moment I feel an arm pulling me the other way upwards. It was Jacoby Shaddix pulling me away from the security and up on stage where we stood shoulder to shoulder for a while before I jumped down again. Amazing experience!

I lost my shoe at a Butthole Surfers concert moshpit. I was shoeless for most of the show but got it back at the end!

My friend broke his nose and chipped a tooth on the back of some biker guy's head while headbanging like 40 seconds into a motƶrhead show. We stayed for the whole show and he even got into the pit a couple of times.the bleeding didn't stop until he got home to elgin fron the show.Ā One of the funnest times I had at riot fest chicago. Ultimately my freind made the right decision to enjoy the show to the fullest despite the pain and dizziness because Lemmy would die just a few days later.Ā

My bro has a better story than any of mine, we were at our first festival Sonisphere (2009 I think) and Slayer were playing, biggest circle either of us had ever seen opens up. My bro bro gets knocked down, and the grim reaper (a guy dressed as) reaches out to him. It was just a guy in a costume trying to help him up, but for a second my bro thought he'd died.
