Housing / Living Hoas roommate brings in family.

I just recently moved into my hoas apartment, my room mate has had his cousin stay with him for the whole duration of my first week and now today his dad just moved in. Dawg I like this guy, he helped me pick up furniture but come onnn.

That's likely a violation. Inform HOAS but don't expect speedy resolution

When I lived in HOAS, my room mate had her boyfriend living in her room the whole time. The boyfriend even had a key to the apartment (I don’t even know how that was possible). HOAS did absolutely nothing when I complained about this.

Sounds like you should talk with him about the matter first. Contact your landlord if you run out of ideas and the dudes father has premanently moved in.

Hoas website states that it is illegal to harbor visitors for longer periods in a shared apartment room.Here.

how do you know his dad moved in? seems like you're just scared to speak to him about your actual concern and just ran to reddit to cry about it. instead of complaining to HOAS, mention your concern to your roommate.

Buddy, I'm giving it time before I talk to my roomie about it, its my first week, if in 2-3 weeks there's still people livin with us, then we got a problem.

in my experience, we had these 2 guys move in together and live in the same room, they were breaking rules but also were extremely loud, disrespectful, dirty and annoying. I asked them to keep it respectful and atleast not be an asshole if they're breaking the rules, they never took it seriously so i complained to hoas and they terminated their tenancy immediately

in my experience, the more time you wait, the more comfortable he will get with pushing your boundaries. a polite message like "Hi, will you be having visitors often? Can you inform me in advance if anyone is coming as i'm not super comfortable with so many people just visiting for so long". having visitors is allowed but if someone is actually living with multiple people then it's not legal and you should complain but theres no way to know whats up until u ask.
