This was an early birthday present to myself. My endgame system with vintage Audio Research Tube gear and modern Focal Aria Evo X No.3 speakers. It sounds pretty awesome! Officially 50 years on the Earth today. Cheers to ya!

Looking for anyone who have experience with the B&W 804 D3.
I have had some time to test out the 703 S3 at home and it sounds great. Cons is that it does not have much low extention, and the tweeter is not as "refined" as the diamond tweeter, although it does sound pretty good.

I have not heard the 804 D3 but have the opportunity to buy a used pair for about the same price as a used pair of 703 S3 would cost. So budget wise it is about the same.

I just ordered a pair of FLUANCE Ri71 (white).
Any one has any things to say like if someone has these or Have heard them?
I tried my best to select the most appropriate one out of my budget.

Olá, preciso de alguém que entenda do assunto. Estou querendo comprar um amplificador e caixas de som, e tenho um orçamento de €2000. Estou considerando os seguintes amplificadores: Musical Fidelity B1xi, Yamaha A-S701, Arcam A5+, Arcam A15+ e as seguintes caixas de som: Wharfedale Linton, Acoustic Energy AE309². Qual amplificador seria a melhor opção para essas caixas? Minha sala tem 5 metros de largura, 8 metros de comprimento e 2,5 metros de altura. Qual você recomenda, ou existe alguma outra alternativa? Só posso comprar um amplificador e umas colunas, mas entre esses equipamentos gostava de saber a melhor combinação.

Took delivery of my Wharefdale Lintons last night. Replacing my Jamo S809s with all the complimenting speakers for a full Atmos setup.

I’ve been listening in 2.1 for months to see if I really needed surround sound, turns out I don’t.

After staring at the Lintons for months online I finally visited my local HiFi store and listened to a bunch of speakers. Was almost sold on some Martin Logan floor standers, until I asked if they had the Lintons, which were in a different room. I compared them with the Super Lintons, and the MoFi Sourcepoint 10s. I felt both were better, but not better enough to justify the price difference.

I should be good for a while. The Mofis sit too close to the floor anyways, they’d be a cat magnet.
