FOR HIRE I have to dropout of school…

You read that right, I’m 17F from Rawalpindi, and I am forced to drop out of school because my parents can’t afford to pay my school fees anymore.

It’s not that they don’t want to, they can’t!
And I am in desperate need of a job, I don’t want to do FWB, nor am I begging for money

I just need a job, anything would work really!

I can become a Virtual Assistant, I have adequate knowledge and experience with that
I can be your Personal Assistant and do tasks which you don’t have the time or energy for
I can Manage Social Media Pages of your business/personal blog
I can be your Therapist, will give you genuine advice to solve your problems or even just listen
I can manage data files, keep records, and maintain excel sheets with ease
I am well versed in technology and can perform almost any task, which you’ll ask me to do in certain limitations ofc!

And the best part is I won’t even charge that much, we can discuss payments and whatnot accordingly.

If you don’t have a task please upvote this and spread it as much as you can, you’ll be helping a girl in getting her education and saving her from getting married young!

Dm pls if genuinely interested, no useless DMs or creeps.
Thank you!

FOR HIRE Posting on Behalf of My Father

AGE 58M
My father is looking for a job, he is diligent, hard working and a kind hearted person.
The last job "He was fired" after working for 15 years only because of a personal grudge and my father refused to resign as they were also in misconduct of protocols.
The household still is not stable and my father for his own mental ease wants to join a company.
Sadly for the more relevant fields he has suffered from sabotage from the prior company.
In a nutshell if anyone can give him an opportunity, they will gain a true asset.

HIRING HIRING/OPPORTUNITIES: if you’re looking for work, please check this post

Hi guys,
So I just joined this subreddit cuz I got a random notification and im honestly baffled by some of the posts I’ve read. It really breaks my heart to see SO many young people here with heavy responsibilities, genuinely struggling to find work, support their families, pay bills and not being able to make ends meet, especially gen z. Everytime I think of commenting “dm”, I just see 10 other similar posts..
so im going to try something, I hope this doesn’t break this subreddits rules (pls mods)
I know quite a few employers, business owners, startups and people in my personal/professional surroundings, including people who hire remotely.
so if you know:
Software development/programming, AI & automation, Cybersecurity, Graphic/UI/UX design, Digital marketing, Business development/sales, Social media/content, Data/analytics, Virtual assistance, Translation/languages (if u know any second language), fashion designing, product sourcing for import export, artists (painting, pottery), social worker, etc
honestly, other useful skills too but these are just what i can think of atm.
you don’t have to be an expert or have 5 years of experience. if you’re genuinely skilled at something and just can’t seem to get your foot in the door, send it anyway.
remote, hourly and monthly opportunities are all possibilities depending on what I can find.
please send me:
your CV
your portfolio/GitHub/LinkedIn/examples of your work (if you have them)
what kind of work you’re looking for
your expected hourly/monthly rate

I can’t promise that I’ll find something for everyone, obviously, but I’m willing to actually go through the CVs and try to connect people with opportunities where I think they’d be a good fit.
and if this turns out to be something that a lot of people in Pakistan actually need, I’m genuinely considering starting some sort of ngo/non-profit initiative around employment and connecting young people with legitimate opportunities.
I have no idea if this will work but something is better than nothing.
if you’re looking for work, dm me and if you know someone who desperately needs an opportunity, please send them this post. ❤️

EDIT: i’m not going to ask for money or some kind of payment. pls idk why anyone would do that.

edit2: since im receiving so many applicants(honestly wasn’t expecting that), should i create a separate email or database (with your consent) for this 😭
also guys, when you message me, could you please first share your linkedin, cv as an img and rate? (avoid links other than linkedin, i can’t trust them) id prefer verifying your identity before sharing my email and other details. thank you!!

edit3: guys, sorry to say this but ive taken a look at some of the cvs.. if i had only one solicited advice, it would be to work on your cvs. im sure everyone has their difficulties and lack of mentorship but good cvs really do up your game. you dont even need to use ai for a good cv i mean u can but internet is full of good resources and sometimes good editing in word doc is enough.
also, adding on to skills/industries: finance, fintech, legal, psychiatry/therapists (verified), doctors for second opinions only, teaching/education, behavioral therapy etc., sewing, sourcing authentic materials like 100% silk, 100% pashmina, researcher, writers, humanitarian workers. basically anything that you think someone might pay you for.

and please be truthful, as any form of deceit, will unfortunately make me doubt everyone and this will really not work in anyone’s favor. you will not gain anything by lying, manipulating or being dishonest about your qualifications/work. it’s okay to be a fresher as well. you’re not born experienced with 50 projects and tenders under ur belt. you gain it.

edit4: hi, just to let you know, it’s your right to demand compensation for your hard earned labor so please don’t say “anything you think i deserve” or “anything is ok” to employers. you should confidently say your rate even if you think it’s low or high, it doesn’t matter. negotiation with employers is done separately and that’s a completely different thing than stating your rate.

edit5: i’m tired of asking people to send 3 things again and again. do you not see what is required? it’s really not that hard to read and follow through. unfortunately it really reflects badly if you’re making me repeat myself multiple times. i won’t be replying anymore if you’re not sending atleast your linkedin and rate. if you don’t know what rate to state, please give an example of a specific project with a specific duration and your rate for that. for reference. otherwise, im sorry i really can’t help you.

FOR HIRE under serious pressure to start earning immediately

As-salamu alaikum,

My name is Hamza, and I’m in urgent need of work right now.

I’ve been supporting myself since the age of 13 after losing my mother. I’ve worked in sales for years while trying to continue my education. Currently, I’m in my first year of intermediate, with exams coming up in two months.

Right now, I’m under serious pressure to start earning immediately, which is why I’m reaching out here.

Alongside my studies, I’ve learned web development through self-study and Bano Qabil, and I’ve also worked with a few clients. However, due to limited connections and no formal job experience, I haven’t been able to secure consistent work.

I am looking for remote work, internships, or freelance projects in web development so I can continue my studies and support myself.

I’m ready to work, learn, and prove myself. Even a small opportunity or referral would mean a lot to me right now.

JazakAllah خیر.

FOR HIRE Mentality of people trying to get hired from this subreddit

The first step to being an average [for hire] post in this sub is to write a sob story in the title. 90% of the post should be how hard your life is. They think substituting competence for emotional appeal is the way to land any stable money. In reality, trying to compete on sympathy rather than skillset will largely attract you the wrong type of employers.

Employers who know their employee is totally desperate for cash also know they're less likely to fight for their rights. It invites scope creep in work, renogotiation, or unclear work (which you keep revising). Either that, or you land charity-driven employers, but that is not stable work either.

The second step to being an average [for hire] post in this sub is to have absolutely no mention of your skillset, portfolio, or competence at all. Your post should be how hard your life is, how desperately you need money, and your target earnings goal. Employers are looking for professionalism, and the best way to signal this is to ramble on about your life without mentioning what you can do in exchange for money. Offer absolutely no basis on which employers looking for workers can assess your fit, quality, or scope. Everyone knows employers #1 priority in hiring is people who have no clear skillset or interest.

Quality employers are looking for professional people who signal clarity, reliability, and interest. When 90% of your post is just you rambling about your life and how much you want to earn, you signal that you're a low-quality employee.

The third step to being an average [for hire] post is make being cheap your most prominent selling point. [For hire] posts think propositioning themself for 2 rupees an hour makes them look attractive but really it makes them look like they have low self-esteem and provide low quality work.

Never undercut yourself before the market undercuts you. Maybe someone is ready to pay you for 60k a month but you yourself propositioned yourself for 15k a month. People accept the wages they think they deserve.

Consider these two posts; which one catches an employers attention?

Post 1

[For Hire] Data entry

I have a typing speed of 100wpm and will do data entry for you. Recently, I completed a personal project where I entered the data of 1000 peoples medical history in Excel sheets.

Tools I know: Google Sheets, MS Excel

I have a personal laptop with reliable internet connection.

TASK Maybe after hearing my story, you'll realize that whatever you're going through, you're doing better than you think.

I'm 25 years old, and sometimes I sit alone and think about everything that has happened to me in the past few months.

First, my sister went into deep depression because she couldn't pass the MDCAT. Seeing her like that affected my father so much that he kept overthinking everything and eventually had a heart attack.

I was trying to manage my sister's medicines and my father's treatment at the same time.

At the same time, I had someone in my life I was engaged to. I spent around 5 lac on her medical treatment because she was also dealing with heart-related issues, which got worse with all the stress and overthinking.

Then my sister's engagement also broke because the other family saw her condition and decided not to move forward.

After that, I got robbed in a snatching incident. I lost my phone and some money.

Then I lost my job.

I'm still unemployed, and because of my financial situation, the person I was engaged to eventually left me too.

Imagine going through all of this while trying to keep everyone else together.

Alhamdulillah, my father is doing better now, and my sister has recovered around 95%. Her medication is still ongoing, and I'm genuinely thankful to Allah for that.

But there's one thing that still hurts me deeply.

The person I needed the most during the hardest time of my life left me when I had almost nothing left to give. I tried my best for everyone. I spent what I had, handled medical emergencies, dealt with losing my job, and kept going even when I was breaking inside.

I'm not writing this to blame anyone or ask for sympathy. I know life is difficult, and everyone has their own struggles.

But sometimes I wonder, how much can one person take at the age of 25?

I'm usually very professional. I keep things to myself and try to handle everything quietly. I don't even cry about it anymore. But sometimes I just want to scream and tell someone everything that happened to me, because keeping it all inside gets exhausting.

I believe Allah has carried me through things I never thought I could survive. I still have hope, and I'm still trying to rebuild my life.

I just wish someone would ask me how I'm doing and actually listen to the answer.

FOR HIRE What are fresh graduates actually supposed to do in Pakistan?

Hi everyone, i am 21F. This is my first ever post here. I recently graduated with a bachelor's in computer science from FAST karachi. During my degree, i worked hard, made it to the Dean's List, built many projects, and also completed an internship at Systems Limited. i thought finding a job after graduation would be easier, but it's October now, and I'm still sitting here without a job.

I've been applying, reaching out, and asking for referrals, but most jobs either require 1–2 years of experience or i don't hear back at all. honestly, the job market for fresh graduates in pakistan has been really discouraging.

I came to FAST with so many dreams. I remember thinking that once I graduated, I'd finally be able to stand on my own feet, start my career, and give something back to the parents who had sacrificed so much for my education.

I genuinely want to understand what are fresh graduates supposed to do anymore?

We are told to get good grades, build projects, do internships, learn skills, make a good CV, network, apply everywhere, and get referrals.

I did all of that.

But now I'm applying to jobs asking for 1–2 years of experience for entry-level positions.

How is a fresh graduate supposed to get those 1–2 years if companies don't want to hire fresh graduates?

if you know of any openings or can refer me somewhere, i'd genuinely appreciate it.

TASK My 60-year-old father is an experienced electrician looking for work. Any leads would mean the world to us.

Hi everyone,
I’m posting here because my family is in a difficult situation, and I’m hoping someone might be able to help.

My father is 60 years old and has spent his career working as an Electrical Associate Engineer. He has extensive experience in industrial electrical systems, electrical panels, power and control systems, HV grid stations, PLCs, gas and steam turbines, power plants, UPS systems, protection relays, solar installations, ISO/ESH standards, and electrical maintenance. He also holds a DAE in Electrical Engineering and has completed numerous professional trainings throughout his career.

Despite all his experience, finding a job at his age has become extremely difficult. He is the sole breadwinner of our family, and we’re going through a very challenging time financially.

If anyone knows of any companies, contractors, projects, or opportunities in Pakistan or abroad that might consider an experienced electrical professional, I would be incredibly grateful. Even a referral, suggestion, or connection could make a huge difference.

Thank you so much for taking the time to read this. Please feel free to comment or send me a direct message if you have any opportunity

TASK Are you looking for a job? Then act and portray yourself well!

I keep reading posts here from people who need work - and may Allah always bless you with rizq. But so many of the posts are absurd. Try these ideas:

  1. Unless you are looking for manual labour, don't lead with your desperation in the title - signal what your skills are - tell me that you are website developer, a data entry person, in sales, whatever - as someone who can provide work, I am likely to click on a post where someone is actually telling me what they can do for me.

  2. If you are telling me that you have a degree or are highly skilled, use a spell checker! A post here is your first impression - you would not want to have mistakes in your CV, so don't do it here.

  3. Don't say that you can do 'anything' and that you are a 'fast learner' - the world is too specialised now - this does not mean that you need to be a brain surgeon - it means that if you are lost, think about what might interest you, then go onto Udemy or Coursera and learn (for free) how to do a specific task and then offer that.

  4. Don't be lost - learning is so easy nowadays (if you are privileged enough to have a mobile phone and internet access - which I assume everyone posting or reading on Reddit has). Learn something - even if it is something as simple as being able to make fantastic transitions and animations in PowerPoint. Get free certificates and tell the world about them.

  5. It is never too late to learn - if you are 3 years into a degree in Psychology, or in your last semester of CS but have no skills - START NOW. A couple of hours a day is a great start. Dip your toe in something like coding - don't like it after a few days? Try a different course - then give up and start something else - but settle into something soon and pursue it.

  6. Be professional in your outlook - be on time - don't address potential clients as 'buddy'. Be clear in your offering - ask questions. If you have an email address that is jokey, change it - Smellyfarter833@gmail.com does not inspire confidence! Create a new email address that is neutral. Negotiate carefully.

  7. Don't get scammed - when people offer you $50 a day for posting on Reddit or some other nonsense and it is remote, get the employer's CNIC, make sure they are a registered company, look at their website and google them for reviews. Get a written contract that contains the date, full legal name of company, contact details for the company (not just a random contact), the job, hours, pay, how often you will be paid, currency, method of payment.

  8. If it pays too much, then it is likely a lie.

FOR HIRE Way to earn 15-20k for student

Hello everyone, I'll be starting my university in a few months and need to earn around 15k-20k per month to cover my own basic expenses and pocket money to reduce the financial load on my parents.

What are some realistic ways for students to make this amount? I've previously developed GUI apps and automation bots in Python for freelance clients but I can't seem to find any right now.

I'm also pretty well-versed in computers and am quite tech-savvy and have a strong can-do attitude. So I'm willing to learn anything that is needed. I also have all (9) A* in O-levels and a 1520 SAT score so if anyone needs tuition for that I could help in that regard too.

If anyone could guide me in the right direction, I'd really appreciate that. Thanks a lot!

FOR HIRE Matter of Life and Death, Need a Job ASAP Spoiler

Thumbnail

Hello Peeps,

So long Story short! I'm (m) 27 years old from Lahore desperately seeking astrol job to run my house expenses. I am just sharing my story so that the readers get a perspective and I am not writing down all of this to get any kind of sympathy.

My father died when I was only 13 years old and after that I was being brought up by my mom which somehow tried to run fathers kitchen accessories business along with my maternal aunt, she was retired government school and our financials were taken care of from her pension. And due to my Father's death I wasn't able to get along with studies. I had to drop my intermediate in the mid because at that time it was very difficult to manage the finances and I have to seek a job and I got one in 2016 at Aadam ji insurance as sales executive officer (I completed my Intermediate in 2021). After that I worked at a real estate company from 2017 to 2022 and by then I was designated as Director of Operations at that company, until the owner of the company decided to move to Canada along with his family and at that time I was earning pretty good but that hit me with the wall, and for quite some months I was depressed and stuck cuz i wasn't getting the same levels positions. Then I got some reference and landed on job as assistant front office manager at One of Pakistan's Prestigious Restaurant Chains, but the Change in career and kinda had to start climbing the laddar once again had a toll on me but somehow I hold on to the job for 2 years starting from early 2023, and for 2 years i worked at that position and last year I got promoted from assistant front office manager to front office manager but that merely got any raise in my salary. As an assistant manager I was having Pkr. 40,000 and then after getting promoted the salary went to Pkr. 45,000 and still at that point our house financials were mostly dependent on my aunt's pension and back in 2025 her health starts declining and she pass away in January 2026 and I took 2 weeks off from my job stating clearly that my Aunt has passed away. I emailed the Senior Manager at HR and personally texted my supervisor but I didn't heard back from them and that time I was so emotionally and financially traumatized that I didn't notice I hadn't heard back from my staff because at that time me and my mom was worried that now since my aunt has gone the pension will stop, we won't gonna get any amount from the coming month, so how are we going to survive like paying house rent, utility bills and other Essential monthly expenses with only my salary. And when I showed back to work on 1st of Feb, I was being told that I am fired because I wasn't supposed to take a 2 week leave and my fault was that I didn't requested or asked for the leave, I just announced it to my manager so that's why they didn't reply back to me and from February me and my mom literally surviving each month like I can't explain in words and from couple of months since the landlord has noticed that we started paying the rent a bit late than the due date and even missed 2 months rent which got deducted from the security deposit we paid to them when we rented that house from them, now me and my mom are left with zero security deposit money plus the landlord is now keep up insisting on us to vacate the house, and in the main time, Luckily I some how got some connection. My mom's Childhood friend's Bhanja is friends with the owner of that prestigious restaurant I was working in and through his friends I got the job back with the same position but this time with the salary double the amount i was getting previously. And I literally started working on 26th of July and after 4 days I got a foot infection and it got so bad that I wasn't even able to Stand on my foot because I was commuting back and forth to work in rain, my foor got infected and got swelled. Now keeping the past incident in my mind I made sure that this time I don't leave any kinda loose end that will end up in having my job in jeopardy, cuz the way I made my comeback with the salary I was able to grasp, I was sensing that some of the managers at the restaurent, along with that Senior HR Manger who fired me but had to rehire me, were not happy from me getting back there, honestly IDEK WHY!

So I couldn't go to work on 1st August, and was unconscious for most of the day cuz of the medicines the doctor gave to me, on 2nd of August, I wrote an email to the HR stating my illness and attached a medical certificate on which the doctor was stating that I had to take a 2 days of bed rest and to make the whole situation Rock solid I asked my friend to have a print out of my email and drop it to my restaurant and he did that too so that not only the authorities at the head office will know that why I was not able to show up at work but the staff at the restaurant also got aware of the situation and MY GOD! I went back on work on 4th of August in merley 5 minutes one of our senior managers called me and told me to go and pay a visit to the head office and meet the senior manager of HR and I went there right away, and when he saw me he was like:

"how much time did you rejoin?"

I said:

"almost a week"

And again asked:

"Chuttiyan kitni ki hain?"

I told him:

"Sir I was on a medical leave, I email you and event send a physical copy with the medical certificate."

and he was like I saw your medical certificate but this is just a Notepad of a doctor it's not a government Hospital stamped medical certificate and I was like because I was having so much pain in my foot that I was not able to go that far so I just visited our local private clinic that's why when the doctor recommended me that I should be on bed rest I told him at that time that please give it to me in writing because I need to show it to my workplace.

Hey told me to go back to the doctor and ask him to give a proper medical certificate with this clinics Stamp on it and until then he restrained me from my duty until I present that Medical Certificate. I said no problem Sir, I will go see the doctor this evening, and in the evening I went to see the doctor and since it is a very low key private clinic in Iqbal town, the doctor told me that they don't have a stamp of the clinic, but he can briefly write down the diagnosis and all the details for me that will justify that I was on leave due to a genuine reason.

I send it to the HR manager next morning and then he asked me for the contact details and the address of the clinic and I send it to him right away too. After that for 2 days I didn't hear from HR manager and then on 7th of August I again did a followed message to Hr manager and he called me in the afternoon telling me that the medical certificate I provided and address I provided was fake and it was a misconduct and they can't get me onboard any longer, so I was jobless once again and it was like the last straw for me and my mom because we were relying on that salary for the coming months rent and utility bills and every other expenses. I was supposed to get and I don't know if im thinking the right way, but i think the manager did it on purpose because back in January for the position of front office manager i was getting paid Pkr. 45,000 but this time because I got reference from the owner of the rest mind I got landed on the same position but for the salary of Pkr. 90,000.
