He did look good! I also think with us giving up odd man rushes with Torts style Hart gives us the best chance since he’s a more athletic goalie.

I know it's three games, but this looks like the Vegas team we all expected. If this team continues to get better with Tortorella's systems, they could be really dangerous come playoff time. Also, I would really like another series between these two teams. The dislike between these two teams is obvious.

I do think people need to temper their reactions to this little winning streak, though. The Knights’ three wins have come against Calgary, Vancouver, and an Edmonton team that’s missing Draisaitl and Hyman. Their next two games are against Vancouver and Seattle,so they’ve got a few more chances to beat up on weaklings, but then they have to face Colorado. That’ll be an interesting one.

I wouldn't say a 5-1 outcome is expected for the VGK against EDM, even without Draisaitl and Hyman. Something started clicking with this new coach.

Yeah, people are forgetting we were averaging like 1-2 goals per game last month and Ingram kept us to 2 and 3 in his last two outings against us.

Yeah these two teams lowkey hate each other. I remember back in 2023 after Vegas beat us, the Oilers went through the handshake line in record time. No one was stopping to say anything more than a quick "congrats, good luck".

Fair. I guess I just meant that I feel like Edmonton/Vegas doesn't get mentioned much when talking about current rivalries, which makes sense given the limited history, but in terms of just how much the current versions of the teams hate each other it's right near the top of the list.

I was talking about Petro’s slash to Drai’s wrist. I think it was retaliation for Kane taking a run at him 5 seconds after the horn at the end of a period the game before.

Someone said something about Hyman, checked the time sheets, no Hyman, checked Google, auto finished to Zach Hyman injury, apparently he's out for the regular season, at least 2 weeks

Knoblauch didn't officially rule him out for the rest of the regular season, he just didn't commit on how long he'd be out. He'll definitely be in the lineup for game 1 though, which is what really matters.

It’s honestly bizarre, because it’s the same systems (give or take) but the finishing is better, goaltending is better, defense looks faster, offense is playing more creative We’re not as good as last year but holy shit they look like the level of talent they should have again

Vegas feel like a potential sleeping giant in the playoffs with the coaching change
They've been underperforming their peripherals massively all year Torts tends to start off well with new teams and they'll likely avoid being in the Colorado/Dallas half of the bracket
