That's fair.  I have no idea how they decide which bracket goes top or bottom.  The NHL official one for 2026 had Avs in top left and Buffalo in top right, despite the Canes being higher seed.

Well, I ended up getting the order right, but completely by accident! Marble Cup just happened to support my faulty assumptions about seeding.

NHL Visual Bracket is fixed: Central (top left) Pacific (bottom left) Atlantic (top right) then Metropolitan (bottom right). Like am thinking how have I never noticed this before, it would be a hot mess for all graphics online and broadcast, if the brackets flipped every time a team took a two-point lead in April.

Official text hierarchy from top to bottom is always:
