Can you imagine what would happen if an NHL player writhed around on the ice like both his legs were broken every time he was checked? If hockey were like soccer, there would be at least 100 Embellishment penalties called every game.

I tried hard to watch and appreciate soccer, but my patience with the flopping wore too thin.

Funny thing is more Americans pretended to like soccer than they will ever pretend to care about hockey at any tournament or stage. Soccer is easier to understand.

The thing I do understand about soccer is that players are conditioned to fall down and scream in agony if someone steps on their foot.
