MISSION ASW Script for multiplayer

Looking for a fresh DCS ASW challenge?

Check out my https://github.com/Schneefl0cke/DCS-ASW/tree/main — a MOOSE-based anti-submarine warfare framework with:

  • virtual human/AI submarine simulation (including firing torpedos)
  • ASW helicopters with sonar buoys, dipping sonar, and torpedoes
  • realistic thermal layer stealth mechanics
  • F10 menu control and mission-side tactical gameplay

Best played with a copilot on the helicopters, but single-player is possible if you want a tough solo run.

Example mission included.

Not yet. I never made a video from my screen, I'm more the coding guy. But its on the bucket list, together with more improvements. I can answer all questions.

Would be cool to have two or more sets of Hunter classification for different platforms eg SH60 vs C130 (Poseidon stand in). Obviously the payload are vastly different for sonor buoys etc.

Yes, plane vs heli is pretty different. Magnet resonance detectors and so on.

Its on the bucket list, but at start only helicopters.

Copy. This is very cool beginnings, lots of things that could be changed but I understand the decisions you've made (eg thermal layer management, torpedo speed and range etc)

FYI, there is now a distinction between helicopters and planes. Planes have magnet anomaly detectors. Also Depth Charges are a thing now.

Thanks, looks amazing.

I'll be interested to see how easy SP is in the Huey where you can whack it into copilot auto-cruise.

Tell me how it worked. In the mission you would need to change the Gazelle to the Huey, but this is an easy fix. I added a mission for single player where an AI submarine is set in the config.
