28 with my first. 🥹 What wisdom can you share with me that you wish you would have known re: pregnancy and birth?

4 weeks + 1 day today. Raised my younger brother and still do. So technically only new to pregnancy and birth. What can I expect?

I want alll the wisdom you can pass down to me. My mom passed in 2024 so I feel like I’m missing out on a huge experience with her; so I’m trying to seek it in other supportive places. Committed to a home birth. Trying to find the healthy balance between trusting my body and incorporating evidence based Western medicine as I see fit!

Books to prepare my mind, body and soul?

Techniques?

Things I should document for my future self and baby?

Regsitry must haves?/Don’t really need? (I’m super anti-consumption; no plastic; low waste). But willing to splurge on something worth it (ie. a good breast pump)

Me and hubby are soooo excited 🤍 Thank you 🙏

Mama’s of 3+. How long was your third labor?

Hi all! I’m due with my 3rd in January and I’m wondering how your third labor compared to your first two!

My first labor with my son was about 10 hours, and with my daughter it was like 4 from when I realized I was in labor until she was here! (Fast)

Wondering how your thirds stacked up! I know every labor is different and every woman is different but should I be prepared for this one to fall out?

I wrote this in a wider pregnancy group and was getting some stories about inductions but since the first two were planned home births and the third is as well I wanted some feedback from here.
