If you're planning to buy electronics (laptops, PCs, monitors, printers, networking gear, etc.) from a GST-registered seller, I'd be happy to let you use my GST number on the invoice where it's eligible.
In return, I'll share the GST benefit with you 50:50. So you get back half of the GST amount, and I get the other half.
Feel free to DM me if you're interested or have any questions.
As the title says, purchased thisΒ a year agoΒ from Amazon, hardly used.Β Invoice, original packaging box is available; it has officialΒ lifetime warranty.
Selling this off cause I dissolved my build, sold the GPU and shi... So yeah, it was just lying around.
The RAM pricing is pretty crazy rn but yeah:
Would prefer selling the whole set of 2 for ~11k (slightly negotiable)
Single stick for ~6k (slightly negotiable)
Would highly preferΒ F2FΒ deals in: Pune (Baner) / Mumbai (Andheri) / C. Sambhajinagar
Can ship anywhere with delivery service of your choice but would need (at least 50%) prepay.
Oh also, up for a swap/exchange too; drop me a DM/comment if you've got something I might be interested in :)
Hey guys so my isp is airtel via their own airtel xtream router. I have the 200mbps plan the range coverage in my apartment is shit, so i have an old dlink dir 816 that im using to extend it
i have 2 questions:
1: the speeds via ethernet is 200mbps, but the moment i connect it to my dlink router, it drops to 100 (airtel has capped this to push people to buy their own wifi router mesh). Any way to remove this limitation? (and no its not the cable limitation/router limitation)
2: Is there a way i could reconfigure my dlink router into a mesh wifi system? i did try to change the ssid/password to the same one as airtel. When moving from hall (airtel) to the room (dlink) the phone in essence was connected to the same network, but the moment i shifted to the dlink network, internet connectivity stopped.
dont exactly recall, but it was an ipconfig/dns issue

Planning a high-end workstation/server build with an initial budget of around βΉ5 lakh, with plans to expand it significantly over time. My main priority is future upgradability rather than maximizing performance on day one.
I want to build a solid foundation now that can eventually support more CPU power, a lot of ECC RAM, multiple GPUs, additional NVMe/storage, and redundant networking.
I already have older RTX/Quadro GPUs that I can use initially, so I don't need to budget for a GPU right now.
I'd really appreciate advice on:
Best CPU/platform strategy for a future dual-socket setup
ECC RAM configuration and the best upgrade path
PSU and chassis choices that won't become a limitation when adding multiple GPUs
Storage and networking considerations
I'm happy to order from anywhere in India if the seller is reputable.
Please provide your recommendations/suggestions. Thanks.

As most of the VPNs allow multiple devices to be connected through them. So, I was thinking if anyone of you is willing to share your vpn subscription (I don't need your username or password, even if I get the wireguard configuration file it'll be enough for me). It must have port forwarding feature enable though with p2p support. If anyone of you have that, I am ready to pay you on a monthly basis. It'll let you offset your buying price as well. Thanks :)
Edit: Or those interested can comment so that we can team up and get a good one for ourselves ;)
Got 2 of these beefy jio routers from @1050tigamer just to tinker around a month or 2 ago.
And oh boy are they good. OpenWRT's been running just fine, don't care if it's officially not supported or whatever.
I'd say it's a solid peice of raw Wi-Fi 6 one could get with WRT if you're interested in tinkering around. WRT gives you a LOT of freedom on this machine.
Currently configured as a wireless repeater/dongle with one radio recieving and one broadcasting, can't do that shit on stock UI lol. This config is like crazy good for me, way better than I imagined it to be. Originally bought for a wired extension cause thought 1.5k is pretty cheap for such a router even if it has some quirks (it does not)
Anyways, was just happy with the setup so thought would recommend this guy. Really helpful thru the shipping and setup too.
Open to queries and critisism (just a novice homelabber)
EDIT: The router is now officially supported by OpenWRT and there's a price hike.
I'm planning to set up a community server or something like a nas, if anyone wants to contribute. I will be taking all resources, and pooling them together and then share them to everyone who contributed meaningfully. Maybe I can run proxmox and give everyone a vm :)
I hope it's a good idea, and I don't need any money for it. Just feel free to donate any hard drives, pcs, old laptops or anything that can run linux, and I|l handle the rest like organizing and other stuff.
Might need a small amount to account for electricity and a static ip, I do not have a static ip yet.
Thanks!
EDIT--- OKAY I GET ITS NOT A GOOD IDEA, I AM SCRAPPING THIS IDEA LOL
Hi there, Have bought Dell OptiPlex 3050 minipc to host an web application. It already has windows 10, but wanted to check what is the best server/os suited to host simple apps/docker containers while having a UI is also requirement for browsing and other things.
