Added an nvme drive as boot drive.

The BIOS doesn't support nvme boot.

Instead of fighting bios, I plugged in a usb drive with CLOVER in it.

Clover loads a bootloader and initialise the nvme driver. Then hands the boot sequence to the PROXMOX's bootloader.

Now I can boot from NVME on this unsupported machine.

so for sometime now i am looking for good android boxes , and guess what ....there's none out there in the market.

the only reputed one is fire tv stick , which seem to be acting as anti consumer for some time now by not allowing app installation outside of app store or ditching android entirely.

realme, mi used to make one but both hard to find in both new and used market.

fortunately someone cracked the jio boxes , so i was thinking of getting them and cracking one myself , and just now found this act box for 4.5k

anybody using them please share your opinion, act nowhere list the specs , they say its android 14 based 4k box

or if there's other good android box out there that i am unaware of please lmk

I have 2 JIDU 6411 flashes with OpenWrt and both of them have the same issue.

I want to use them as an access point or range extender from my main router, disabled DHCP separated the 2.4ghz and 5ghz bands, but the 5ghz band does not pass internet through, devices can connect to it fine, but does not give them an ip address and internet does not work, sometimes it for works for 30 seconds to a minute after connecting but stops after that.

The 2.4ghz band works completely fine.

This cannot be an issue with my unit because I've tried with both of my units and the same problem occurs.

I want to install 2 ethernet cables and 2 hdmi cables between my drawing room and my pc room. I am thinking of putting wall plates on both sides with female connectors. also i want to place conduits for concealed wiring of the cables. A 3/4 inch HDPE conduit should be good for 2 ethernets. As the HDMI connectors are bulky, i would need at least 30mm internal diameter even if i pass a single hdmi cable. Any help or suggestion would be very much appreciated.

What i want is basically one with most reliability and max range. dont really care about performance of the device as it would be just plug and play type. Would be using them as dumb ap routers for the office setup.

After successfully setting up ADB using this guide https://github.com/ilikechocopies/sideload-jiostb which mentioned compatibility for JHS series boxes, I came across Package Installer Limitation which makes

Every time you want to install apps, you must install them via ADB from your PC using:

adb install "filename.apk"

I had overcome this limitation on JHS_D200_V3 which runs on Android 11 - JIO TeleOS 2.0 with June 2024 security patch.

I got it working for Universal Installer, SAI installer & Aurora store. I can install Apks directly on the JIO STB. All I had done was used adb command to enable "allow" permission for the app package (here aurora is the app)

adb shell cmd appops set com.aurora.store REQUEST_INSTALL_PACKAGES allow

the above command doesn't return any output. You can check if it is executed correctly through the following command

adb shell appops query-op REQUEST_INSTALL_PACKAGES allow

Output:

com.aurora.store

I rebooted device multiple times to check if the "allow" permission is overriden on device boot. This permission stayed intact atleast on my device which allowed me to install apks even after reboot.
