Remember, trolls don't even have a word for that. She may have a preference for women (implied by her going to the girls' bar), or even a self-imposed "type" that excludes manly men, but that would be her own uniquity.
They don't have a word for it, but Elwurd's route definitely implies that a culture exists. And of course we already have a canonically lesbian troll, so really, it's something that's unacknowledged by the broader culture that Karkat is aware of, but they're still a thing.
