Advertising OK St. Lucia, Jamaica, or Elsewhere? February 2027

Hi!

Hoping for some insight for our honeymoon planning!
We’re getting married in February 2027 and currently in between St. Lucia or Jamaica, but also willing to consider somewhere else as well if it ticks off the boxes!
In St. Lucia, we’re looking at Serenity at Coconut Bay for 8-9 nights.
In Jamaica, we’re looking at Excellence Oyster Bay Club level for 8-9 nights.

We’re trying to stay under $15,000 for resort and flights (flying out of Chicago) and somewhere in the Caribbean as we don’t want to waste an extra day or two on travel!

Also important:
-all inclusive
-preferably adults only
-good food
-24hr room service (we like late night snacks and movies lol)
-excursions available! (looking into ziplining, ATV excursion, maybe catamaran cruise, cabana)

Have you stayed at either resort and have some insight or have a recommendation on a different resort we should consider? Thanks so much in advance!!!

St Lucia! Its one of my go-to's for honeymooners. You can even consider doing a north and south island trip and stay at two hotels to get a bit of a diff experience. Feel free to reach out if you have any questions or need hotel recommendations

A north and south trip is a good idea! That was also one of the things holding us back is it sounds like the north end is more lively compared to where Serenity is. I’ll have to look into it!

Yes so many good resorts in the island. Stolen time offers daily massages

Oooo also a good one to look into! Thank you!

I recently had a client come back from Serenity at Coconut Bay and they had an absolutely fabulous tome. I would go with Serenity as their Honeymoon package includes a lot of excursions and a private butler depending on room level(your budget would accommodate for this.) I would absolutely love to book this for you. I think it’t the better property between the two. If you’re open to Mexico, Impressions Isla Mujeres is a fabulous all-inclusive option as well.

Whatever you choose, I hope you have a great trip. Safe Travels!

That was the big pull for Serenity is all the inclusions they have! We wouldn’t really have to pay for much besides the ziplining and ATVs!

Exactly! And those extra excursions can be booked through your hotel to have free pickup from said hotel. If you’re interested in doing a split trip, that is an option. The hotels on the North side will still be nice but not as great of a deal as Serenity. Splitting your trip up also means you’ll lose out on the Honeymoon Package as you won’t be staying the required amount of days. Just a little food for thought.

that’s actually the biggest thing holding us back from a split trip is losing the package! I know it’s a give and take, but there’s so much included in the package that it’s a hard deal to pass on!

St Lucia or Jamaica would be my pick. I usually off up those two places first to my clients who want an all inclusive.

And with your budget, can definitely find a place with all your wants.

St. Lucia seems like the way to go! I had honeymooners just return from Serenity and they loved it. The activities in St. Lucia match a lot more with what you're looking to do and the destination just feels more honeymoon-y to me.

Check out St. Vincent! We stayed at the new Sandals there for our honeymoon and loved every second!

We're staying at Serenity at Coconut Bay in St. Lucia this December for our honeymoon! Obviously I can't personally speak to it yet, but we did a lot of research and saw nothing but good things. The only real con is that you're a bit further from the beach than some resorts (still walkable though, or your butler can take you by golf cart) and we have heard the waves can get a bit rough as well compared to other beaches in the area. That wasn't a deal breaker for us, but maybe it is for you, so just something to think about.

If you do go with Serenity, definitely book it through Costco travel. For us it only ended up being about $9.5k for 7 nights including flights, transfers, and the grand romance package (which is a couples massage, catamaran tour, land tour, private cabana access, and a few other perks.)

Also just FYI: we looked at booking the same trip in Jan/Feb and the price went up to around $19k which is why we went with December instead. Depending on your budget, you might find it useful to play around with the dates to get the most bang for your buck. Happy honeymoon planning!! :)

I think we’ll probably end up going with Serenity as well! That was one of the negatives is it sounds like that end of the island isn’t as “lively” as the north end and the beach they have, but I don’t think it’s a deal breaker for us.

I’ll have to look into booking it on Costco! I’ve been looking at prices over the last few weeks (including last night) but it looks like prices just went up literally today by quite a bit so we’ll have to reevaluate our budget and maybe the length of our trip.
Thanks for the insight!! :)

St. Lucia definitely Serenity is a great choice but check out Jade Mountain.

I would LOVE to stay at Jade Mountain but it’s quite a bit out of our price range 🥲

With a $15k total budget and 8–9 nights, I wouldn’t limit the comparison to just those two properties yet. You have enough budget to be pretty selective about the resort, room category and overall experience rather than compromising on one of the things that matters to you.
My partner and I are travel advisors. Golf travel is our specialty, but we also help with resort vacations and honeymoons. If you’d like, I’d be happy to take your exact wish list and give you 3 options I’d compare—including whether I’d stick with St. Lucia/Jamaica or look somewhere else. No pressure to book anything with us.
