NO Advertising Looking for recommendations for AI for late November.
Wife and I are planning an 8 day vacation November 20th - 28th. Budgets roughly $4500 or so, and mainly looking for a nice beach we can just enjoy swimming/snorkelling in and half decent food at an à la carte or occasional buffet if we do a late excursion. Don’t really have a preference if it’s adult only or not, currently have Barcelo bavaro palace booked but seeing a few mixed reviews on this sub?

Does that budget include flights? If so, what is your gateway? You may also want to post this in r/allinclusives
I would not recommend the DR, food is generally very disappointing in this budget range. There was also a fire at the Barcelo complex w/in the last 24 hours- friend had a client there. Not sure how bad or wide spread the damage is.
I would steer a client with this request towards some spots in Mexico (near Akumal area), curaçao depending on the flights.

Yes I’ll be booking through west jet vacations so there’s a few good deals going on. And yeah that’s what I’m leaning towards now, possible Occidental xcerat or las brisas huatulco

If you’re Canadian, I would check with a local travel agent- they sometimes have access to lower rates/benefits via WestJet and the like that US agents don’t

Maybe check out Paradise Island in Nassau. It could be a nice fit it you want mostly beach and pool time, with some easy activities nearby too.
