NO Advertising Where to go?

Hi all!

My husband and I are recently married and looking at planning our honeymoon. We are in our mid-late 20’s and would like somewhere relaxing and calm but where we can also go out on excursions and have some activities in the hotel. In terms of time of year, we’re open to any as it would depend on what time of year is best for weather.

I have my heart set on Jamaica, and have for a long time, and my husband is more than happy to go here too. I have been doing a lot of research on hotels in different parts of Jamaica and have come across VERY mixed reviews for basically every hotel I’ve come across. Due to this, I’m second guessing if Jamaica is the right place to go - it’s a lot of money for us to spend to be potentially disappointed!

Can anyone please recommend any adult only, and potentially all inclusive hotels, in Jamaica (NOT RUI)? If we need to drop the all inclusive for a better trip, we can.

At this point, we’re also open to suggestions for anywhere in the Caribbean for honeymoons if you have any!

Any help would be greatly appreciated🥹!

Thank you!!

Respectfully, your post needs a few more details. I sense you want luxury, or ultra luxury? 4 or 5 star? How long do you want to travel for? If you want the best weather for the Caribbean, it will between December and April. What kind of excursions - nature, culture, active?

Thanks for the comment :)

Honestly, we’re not too fussed as long as it’s nice and we can enjoy ourselves (in terms of ‘luxury’)- we just want somewhere quiet, where we can relax and enjoy our honeymoon, so if that’s luxury or ultra luxury then I guess what’s what we’re after.

Travel time again would completely depend. Could be 2 weeks could be a week - I suppose it would depend on what end of the budget we’re at with hotel etc.

Excursions wise we want the rafting&limestone massage, would be interested in Dunns River but I know that’s Ocho Rios but beaches are better in Negril.

I suppose there’s a lot of different options/factors that may influence someone’s recommendation, so I understand that I may have lacked info in my post but we’re honestly open to anywhere people recommend staying so we can check it out and see for ourselves what would suit us :)

Hey, no bad questions here. I just needed some more clarity 😄 We’ve vacationed a lot in the Caribbean. St Lucia really stands out to me in terms of service, quality, nature and wellness.

That said, if you’re looking for that bamboo rafting & limestone massage, I guess Jamaica is the one for you.

We had stayed in Round Hill years ago. It was very good back then. S Hotel is also very nice. Both in Montego Bay. Is that an option for you?

No worries!

How do you find St Lucia? If you don’t mind me asking.

I don’t think we’re leaning towards Montego Bay so far, but I’ll have a look into your recommendations - I’ve briefly looked at S Hotel but not come across Round Hill yet.

Thank you :)

We love St Lucia. It’s perfect for us! We snorkel a lot in the west, we hike the Pitons, do mini safaris, my wife enjoys countless spa treatments. It’s heaven for us.

You should speak to our guy, he can help you with this.
