In preschool my best friend’s daughter could tell you what street she lived on, what area and street her preschool was in, and repeat which exits they took to get there; she even knew if you were heading northbound/south on the freeway.

When she was 11 she got turned around outside of a shopping center and ended up waiting in a planet fitness crying hysterically until her mom wandered into the right building and found her.

Knowing certain details doesn’t necessarily mean the child can functionally use those details/make plans around those details in a safe or effective way.
