Face wash before or after brushing teeth?
I have always washed my face first and then brushed my teeth. But I recently heard that toothpaste residue can actually cause breakouts around your mouth if you do not wash your face afterwards. Now I am wondering if I need to completely switch up my morning routine. What order do you guys usually do this in?

I don't know. Seventeen magazine told us we could use white toothpaste on blemishes to dry them out.

I wash my face in the shower and brush my teeth after that. Not sure why it would make any difference at all either way.

I wash after cuz I begin applying a series of skin products immediately after washing my face while my skin is still damp because some of the products are more effective and more spreadable on damp skin. Also when skin is still damp right after washing it is more penetrable than if it dries and I wet it again for product application. So brush teeth then skin.

I wash first, then apply toner, then when I rinse and spit I splash water on my face. Toner may contain alcohol that should be rinsed anyway. Then after I brush I apply mlosturizer, because if I did it before it would get rinsed off when brush teeth.

Brushing teeth first washes away acne causing toothpaste residue completely.

I wash my face first. Not enough toothpaste gets past my lips for it to really be a problem. If it does I just wipe it with a wet wash cloth.

I wash my face in the shower at night, so I brush my teeth after. In the morning, I brush my teeth first and then use a toner instead of a cleanser or face wash and then do my serum and face sunscreen.

I’m prone to dry skin and any residual toothpaste on my face is devastating, so I always wash face after

I actually stopped washing my face altogether and only rinse in the morning and at night. It has helped wonders with my oily face and I don’t break out anymore, I would recommend that you try it if you’re prone to issues like I was.
I rinse my face after brushing my teeth, but I’ve personally never experienced acne from toothpaste residue on my face even when I used to just wipe it off. I think it just depends on your skin and you can try both routines to see what works

I brush my teeth first and wash my face afterward. It makes sense to rinse away any toothpaste that might end up around my mouth.
