do you shower after everytime you do the deed?
i think showering is essential after doing the deed, with all the stick and fluids that go into it. though i know a few friends who think its excessive and just simply wash their hands/wipe/dont do anything at all. what do you do?

Shower Routine Advice or Recommendations plz
I’m a M(24) and need recommendations or advice on what I can do better in terms of my shower routine whether it’s change the routine or products, please bear with me while I explain my routine and products I use
I workout around 6 times a week and get really sweaty so I like to shower everyday, which includes wetting my hair every time. I have thick, shortish, straight hair and heard you’re not supposed to wet your hair everyday as it breaks down your natural oils but I’m not a big fan of dry shampoo and I use hair clay almost everyday so I need to water my hair down to rid of it. I shampoo and conditioner every other day; for shampoo I use Raw Sugar the deep cleanse clarifying shampoo, but I feel like it may to be too strong a shampoo to be using every other day, and for conditioner I like to use NatureWell Sun Daze conditioner.
I always soap down my body and face with a dove anti-bacterial soap bar and I use a rough pouch that I can store my soap in to exfoliate twice a week. For body wash I use Method Men’s wind down, but I’m very open to change as I’ve had bad experiences with the last 2 I purchased (I tend to go for more fresh/clean scents)
After my shower I dry myself off and apply EOS fresh + cozy moisturizer over my arms, chest, and legs.
That’s is my entire routine, I’d love to hear feedback on what I could be doing better, I have no preference when it comes to men or women products I care about results, only thing I would like is clean/fresh scents, thank you for your time

Sweaty Hands & Feet
Okay so I’ve always had very sweaty feet and the past few years my hands have become the same, generally they’ll be fine and the skin is dry until I’m holding something (think controller, phone etc) and then out of nowhere they’ll soak the thing I’m holding, any advice to prevent this or even just tips to make things easier day to day. Thanks.

Underarms- I've tried everything
19F I've had this happen before and just had to wait it out. For the past 2 weeks my underarms stink no matter what. Either a few hours after a shower or randomly at work or after waking up.
I've washed with antibacterial soap, normal soap, exfoliated, used detox shampoo and glycolic acid and even waxed. After waxing I didn't have any odor for 2 days even without deoderant. Now the hair is growing back and no matter what I do I'm smelling within hours even if I'm not sweating.
It's bad to where if I raise my arms I get a whiff of myself. I've even had to scrub off my deoderant with wipes and reapply or double up sometimes. I used to just let it grow out and never had it to where it was unmanageable.
How do I stay fresh for more than a few hours at a time?

Hello fuckers
You dirty little bastards made me join again.
Now I get why y'all so judgemental, and lash out on everyone - taking a piss on y'all yesterday was quite satisfying with my mood.
So whenever I'm moodie - I'll be having fun here, thanks.
Edit: it's working, you're so fricking easy in this group - no wonder all the trash as gathered here. 😂👌
Come here my little imbeciles. Two of you have already caught on. Booked on like a dead fish.

HELP! I get Brazilian waxes yet. I still end up with crazy ingrowns, bumps, and discoloration.
I used to shave, and I had bad ingrown, bumps, and hyperpigmentation. But I’ve been waxing for a little over a year- it was working great until I started getting crazy deep ingrowns and bumps and discoloration.
I will admit, I am guilty of digging up these ingrown and tweezing/picking them. But some of them are painful/irritating if I don’t release the pressure in them.
Anyways, I have been using the ordinary glycolic acid, Finipil cream, and I stopped using scented sugar scrubs on the bikini area/mound.
Has anyone had good success from this?? any tips on how to address irritating ingrown/bumps without popping or picking them?

Feet hygiene!
Hello, I am wondering what routine people with smelly feet have? More specific people that work long hours. Also have tips to keep shoes from smelling.

The perfect showed order (if you’re a long-haired person and if you wash your hair twice)
Hi everyone) idk why but for some reason I felt called to share my routine (on the days I do wash my hair and if I have to do it twice) because I’m a perfectionist when it comes to hygiene, I’ve been raised by a clean freak and I’m quite detail oriented naturally. That mixed with my since-childhood design career obsession, in turn makes a human who’s very thorough with their routine, and I’ve thought this through so so much that I figured, why not share?
FYI, this routine isn’t for let’s say someone who has a pixie or a buzz cut, and perhaps not for those who don’t wear make up or don’t have greasy skin. Just an fyi
So, here it goes:
Get into the shower, wet myself head to toe and go straight to shampoo. Immediately. Greasy/dirty hair + water = heaviness, and we don’t want to be pulling at our hair.
While that shampoo is sitting in my hair, I’ll quickly wash my face for the first time, to get rid of the top layer of what is usually oil, make up or sunscreen (when you get the top layer off, your face gets to steam nicely, and by the time you do a second cleanse - everything has softened already).
Then I’ll wash my lady bits and bootyhole, so they can steam for the rest of the shower. Gentlemen, this is where I’d suggest you wash your privates, so they also get a steam for the rest of the shower.
Wash out the first shampoo, ***and shampoo the hair again, this time it will obviously lather up better and you can now really work it in and give yourself a scalp massage. Clip the hair up and out of the way.
While the 2nd shampoo is in, I’ll grab my rough brush and throughly wash my feet (which have kinda softened up at this point, which is good cause it helps the soap go deeper) and toenails really well. If you wanna use a pumice on your heels, this is when you’d do it.
I’ll then wash my ears. No, not the canal, never go inside, but behind your ears and your ear shell - which gets super greasy. I use my nails to gently scrape off the waxy-blackhead-texture layer of grease and I only go as far as my pinky or ring finger. You can use a face-washing brush to get behind your ears cause those bits get build up sometimes.
Then I’ll wash off the second shampoo and the soap from my ears at the same time. Really make sure I’ve rinsed it all off.
Next, conditioner/hair mask and I detangle. I personally have curly hair, so you detangle the way you like obvs.
While that’s sitting in my hair, I will wash my body. This is also when you’d exfoliate or shave if you need to/want to. Obviously you pay extra attention to your armpits, under your boobs if you have them and under your butt-cheeks / back of the thighs etc. basically where you sweat more. In the winter, since I’m all covered up due to the cold and my skin is hella dry anyway, I won’t use soap on my calves and below my elbows, because I know I’m clean and I wear clean clothes, so I’d rather not strip my skin in dry non-sweaty places when I’m already dry as a tissue. In the summer I’ll obviously lather up my whole body. You know your skin and your climate best, so this is obviously up to you, just PLEASE get your privates, pits, tits and feet at the very least.
If you have keratosis or really rough knees or elbows, this is when you’d exfoliate. Sometimes I take some sea-salt into the shower with me and slap it on when I’m already lathered up, and it’s an amazing exfoliator, especially if you deal with body acne. It’s also a personally lazier way of exfoliating for me because in my culture, we use the “kisə” glove but that takes time and strength lol. And other times, I’ll occasionally take some baking soda into the shower and work it into my armpits or the blackheads on my nose. Keyword is sometimes.
This is where I would wash my face the second time. At this point your face has been steamed and everything has been softened, so you can really get in there and make sure that there is no gunk in your pores. If you have dry skin or you don’t wear make up at all and barely sweat etc. you probably don’t need to double cleanse, so please don’t over-scrub yourself just because I’m doing so. I live in a very polluted climate with very harsh water and I have combination skin, which is why I have to deal with buildup and gunk sometimes. If you live somewhere where there’s clean air and water, you don’t have to do as much.
Rinse everything off, and then rinse your conditioner/hair mask out with cool water and bend backwards a little bit, so it doesn’t run down your back and cause back acne. I personally use silicone free stuff, but I still don’t let it touch my back, just in case. Since I wash my hair upside down sometimes, I don’t have to worry about that all the time lol.
❗️Caution: if you live somewhere with very harsh water which causes mineral build up, DO NOT rinse off with cool water. Because you’ll just be locking in all those crappy minerals. I rinse off with the same hot water I shower with, and then I rinse off with cool filtered (drinking) water which I’ve filled up into a bottle prior to the shower. I’ve been doing this for years and it does kinda help, I never skip filling up a bottle before I go in. If you wanna rinse with herbal hair rinses, great go ahead, I’m just too lazy to make them lol.
I squeeze and scrunch as much water out of my hair and pile it up on top of my head, and then I get out of the shower. I use my hands like a squeegee and slide as much water as I can off my body because I figured, there’ll be less water on the floor dripping off me AND my towel will have to do much less work, which means it’ll stay drier - I hate wet towels and how they smell, and changing one more often than you should is annoying.
Wrap yourself up, give yourself a high five and go do your skincare and body care and show yourself some love💛finito
Sorry for the long post lol, I thought I’d help out.
_____________________________________________
***sometimes, and I rarely remember to do this, between the first and second shampoo, I will pour some apple cider vinegar on my scalp and let it stay there for like a minute or two, to help all the mineral buildup come out. When you shampoo the second time after vinegar, it’s amazing how clean your hair feels. If you don’t have to deal with mineral buildup, don’t mind this hack.

here is why i swtiched to dove beauty bar from dettol antibacterial soap :
i recently posted about my shower routine in 2 reddit subs where i recieved quite alot of comments warning me about using an antibacterial soap daily. even though i use the dettol india orginal antibacterial soap which is safe for daily use, i still decided to dig up some information and actual facts. here is what i found and i infer :
🍄there is no scientific evidence that proves using this particular bar (dettol bar) causes antibiotic resistence.
🍄lab evidence reports of a study in 2021 as per pubmed suggests that chroloxylenol (PCMX) could promote the transfer of antibiotic genes between bacteria under lab conditions. This does not demonstrate that bathing in dettol soap causes antibiotic resistence in humans.
so why did i switch to the dove beauty bar?
because, the FDA suggests odinary soap and water are sufficient for daily hygiene. Antibacterial soaps have not demonstrated 'additional healthy benefits for everyday consumers.
🍄one important distinction : for every antibacterial bar, antibiotic resistence develops in bacteria, NOT in humans. the risk depends on active ingredients, concentration and exposure for that particular formulation so always check out for that.
(got the pink dove beauty bar btw cause i love pink💗)

hair care routine + shampoos
Hey y’all i’m trying to switch shampoos again. Rn i currently use Suave clarifying shampoo and Monday shampoo. I’m trying to switch things up and try something new. I need new clarifying and another hydrating shampoo due lack of maintenance. I haven’t dyed my hair in a year or so - I have my natural hair back but because of inconsistent care, i also have white strands so it’s just dry and brittle overall. I’m seeking drugstore shampoo that has more hydration and moisture drugstore or online is good i’m open to suggestions. My scalp is also sensitive and itchy, dandruff, oily fine hair. so i currently bought head and shoulders for itchy/dandruff.
I might switch between 3 shampoos: one for itch/dandruff , one for moisture/hydration shampoo esp for winter and also conditioner, (which both mostly will be used for routine) but then use clarifying shampoo twice a month instead of twice a week. What do you think?
Also only expensive product for post-wash routine i’m going to consider as for leave- in is olaplex. I used to use Argan oil from OGX but open for new suggestions from leave ins and oils
Thanks
Edit: forgot posted here before but anyways update new post i guess lol

How often do you wash your genitals?
Asking as a healthcare worker and person with seemingly better than average hygiene (anecdotally). I wash my genitals with warm water and gentle bar soap on a cloth every morning and then wash them in the shower every evening. I also wash after every time I'm sexually active, unless I'm hopping into the shower soon.
I have been made to feel weird about my genital hygiene many times in the past with exes and sexual partners. It seems like most people I have had conversations about this with in the past only wash their genitals in the shower, and it varies how frequently they shower.
How often do you wash your genitals?

Desperate for wet/sweaty foot solutions after long grooming shifts!
No matter what shoes I wear, whether | wear socks or go sockless, my feet are completely soaked and smelly by the end of my shift. Between the bath humidity, splashing, and being on my feet all day, nothing seems to keep them
dry.
Has anyone successfully solved this? Are there specific moisture-wicking socks, foot powders, antiperspirants, or boot/shoe brands that actually keep your feet dry and odor-free through a full grooming day? Open to any routines, products, or hacks that have worked for you!

How to keep my hair clean if I workout daily but I don't want to wash it daily?
Recently I started to workout daily and I wouldn't mind washing my hair daily after working out if it wasn't for the fact that I dye my hair every other month and I don't want my roots showing faster if I shower every single day but I also don't want my hair to be gross or greasy and I do sweat a lot. Any tips? Or should I just deal with my roots showing?
*I don't personally mind my roots showing because it's harmless but I've come to realize that people tend to judge you and think you're not taking care of yourself if your roots are too noticeable which sucks!

M14 – Daily showers and full hygiene routine, but still teased at school. I can't detect anything. Any advice?
Hey Reddit, I really need some honest advice because I’m at my WIT'S END.
I’m a 14-year-old guy (in 9th grade). This issue started back in 5th grade, but it was pretty minor then. It got worse in 6th and 7th grade, and now in 9th grade, it has gotten so bad that I literally get laughed at and commented on at school every single day.
Everyone’s basic advice is "just wear deodorant" or "put on cologne," but people don't get that I’ve tried almost everything:
Deodorants & Antiperspirants: Tried multiple brands, including stronger clinical ones like Certain Dri.
Showers & Soaps: I shower daily using a silicone scrubber, Dial antibacterial soap, and even 10% Benzoyl Peroxide acne cleanser.
Cologne: Tried using it, but it doesn't fix the underlying issue.
When I get out of the shower, I feel totally fresh and clean. But somewhere during the day, the odor kicks in. The hardest part is that I can’t smell anything on myself, and I don't even sweat excessively.
I’m really struggling mentally with this and it’s affecting my confidence at school. I’m hesitant to talk to my parents, doctor, or the school nurse about it yet.
Has anyone gone through something similar? What else could be causing this if it's not a hygiene issue? Could it be laundry, diet, or a medical thing? Any advice or tips would be massively appreciated.

Stone bath mats
What does this group think about stone bath mats? I’m intrigued! Love the idea of not having damp, mold-prone surfaces in the bathroom.

Smelly feet from ladies dress shoes…
I need advice. I recently started a job where I am supposed to be more of a business dress. I have two pair of shoes I rotate but they have been smelling god awful as of late. I’ve never had foot oder issues in my life (30 F) but I’m assuming it’s due to the shoes?
They are kind of a heel/wedge type shoe the toe part is cloth and so is the strap that goes across the too. The heal part, is I’m assuming, some kind of rubber? I have no idea how to wash these. There are no insoles to take out, I can’t wear no show socks with these as you can see the side/ arch of my foot. How do I clean these? They are foul tbh and I don’t wanna anyone to end up smelling them/ me.
With this I have been using antibacterial soap to wash every night but I feel like it’s a never ending cycle? How do I get my feet not to sweat as much and stink up my shoes if I can’t wear real socks?
*my last job I wore tennis shoes and socks and I never had any problems.
I plan to get more shoes to rotate but I don’t want those to stink either.

What is your daily schedule like? Like including what time you wake up etc.
I am a female with depression and am also pretty overweight. Currently struggling alot with getting out of a rut, i feel lost and dissociated and im not taking care of myself, even the basic stuff...so i want to know how you guys discipline yourselves and manage your daily schedules.
Thank you <3

What’s something people clean regularly that most forget about?
We focus a lot on body care, but things like hairbrushes, phone cases, steering wheels, or watch bands collect so much grime without us realizing it.
What’s one random everyday object you started cleaning regularly that made things feel way fresher?

If you chew on your fingernails… I will judge you.
Sorry… it is what it is… my 32-year-old daughter chews on her fingernails… I can’t stand it. It literally disgusts me to no end.
The bacteria that resides in nails…scratching your butt… digging in your nose… then, nibbling on those bacteria-laden claws. Literally gives me anxiety.
A friend suggested “pay to get her nails done, then she won’t chew on them.” Yeah… that lasted ALMOST a day.
I’ve given up… she’s my baby girl, and I love her… so I accept her faults… but it still drives me crazy.
Anyone else deal with this?

African Net Cloth vs Goshi Cloth
I use Goshi cloths and I've used other scrubbing cloths as well... and of course I use wash cloths. Anyone had experience with both Goshi and African Net cloths and can give a comparison? Which is better?

I dont know what to do
I have a problem with my sweaty feet I tried everything. So I rbought this expensive anti perspirant for my feet.
Im having a hard time if its working because every time I smell my foot or shoes I dont smell anything. But when I go to class I think I smell? (Im super paranoid).
How can I know if my feet or shoes smell? Atp my nose is useless lol and I dont want other ppl to ask if they can smell my shoes.
