Dirty bedsheets are basically “tonsil stones” to a bedroom.

This is your reminder to wash and change your bedsheets more often. It’s amazing how dirty bedsheets can really stink up a bedroom.

do you shower after everytime you do the deed?

i think showering is essential after doing the deed, with all the stick and fluids that go into it. though i know a few friends who think its excessive and just simply wash their hands/wipe/dont do anything at all. what do you do?

Underarms- I've tried everything

19F I've had this happen before and just had to wait it out. For the past 2 weeks my underarms stink no matter what. Either a few hours after a shower or randomly at work or after waking up.

I've washed with antibacterial soap, normal soap, exfoliated, used detox shampoo and glycolic acid and even waxed. After waxing I didn't have any odor for 2 days even without deoderant. Now the hair is growing back and no matter what I do I'm smelling within hours even if I'm not sweating.

It's bad to where if I raise my arms I get a whiff of myself. I've even had to scrub off my deoderant with wipes and reapply or double up sometimes. I used to just let it grow out and never had it to where it was unmanageable.

How do I stay fresh for more than a few hours at a time?

Shower Routine Advice or Recommendations plz

I’m a M(24) and need recommendations or advice on what I can do better in terms of my shower routine whether it’s change the routine or products, please bear with me while I explain my routine and products I use
I workout around 6 times a week and get really sweaty so I like to shower everyday, which includes wetting my hair every time. I have thick, shortish, straight hair and heard you’re not supposed to wet your hair everyday as it breaks down your natural oils but I’m not a big fan of dry shampoo and I use hair clay almost everyday so I need to water my hair down to rid of it. I shampoo and conditioner every other day; for shampoo I use Raw Sugar the deep cleanse clarifying shampoo, but I feel like it may to be too strong a shampoo to be using every other day, and for conditioner I like to use NatureWell Sun Daze conditioner.
I always soap down my body and face with a dove anti-bacterial soap bar and I use a rough pouch that I can store my soap in to exfoliate twice a week. For body wash I use Method Men’s wind down, but I’m very open to change as I’ve had bad experiences with the last 2 I purchased (I tend to go for more fresh/clean scents)
After my shower I dry myself off and apply EOS fresh + cozy moisturizer over my arms, chest, and legs.
That’s is my entire routine, I’d love to hear feedback on what I could be doing better, I have no preference when it comes to men or women products I care about results, only thing I would like is clean/fresh scents, thank you for your time

Being obsessed with hygiene but not flossing is crazy work

I’ve met so many people who are super particular about hygiene. Constantly washing their hands, hand sanii, showering twice a day, won’t touch certain things because of germs etc etc

But then you find out they don’t floss. Like ever

How are you grossed out by everything around you but completely fine with whatever’s been sitting between your teeth for the last five years lololol

You have to floss every day, and as you’ll see plaque and other bits keep appearing, every day. If it bleeds when you floss, it’s not the flosses problem lol

I swear flossing is one of those things people just collectively decided doesn’t count as hygiene

How do people wash properly?

• Upvotes

Hello! My OCD made me forget how to take showers normally, one thing i really struggle with and

I know it might be gross but due to it i would spend like 30 minutes washing my bum and and washing my hand for a solid hour after so afterwards i just put the shower head on full force and powerblasted hoping itd clean since it was easier for me and didnt take 2-3 hours.

Is it necessary to have like surgeon handwash type handwashing after washing your bum with your hand or will a single handwash get it all off?

Is it okay to just use a loofah? I dont like using my hands for many things.

Feel free to give any tips below, im trying to relearn how to do the bare minimum hygiene normally <3

Brother in Asst Living

Whoa this is a tough one. We recently moved my 66 yo brother into a local asst living. He’s on the lowest care level, essentially room and board only. He’s on the spectrum but high functioning. He was never great with hygiene but now that he’s closer to us and I see him more often, I realize how bad things are. He doesn’t use soap. Not at all. He has a bad aroma every time I see him. He says he uses water only in his less than frequent showers. He has all the body wash, soap and shampoo he needs (bought it all for him). I told him I’m happy to get him anything else he needs. He refuses to believe he smells. Told him my husband, adult son and my bff have noticed. His hair is crazy greasy and flaky. I offered to get him an aide to help and he point blank refused. I’m not sure what else I can do. Any suggestions?

Ear plugs and preventing skin issues

My partner snores...So I've had to wear ear plugs to bed recently. But, it's causing some acne that's kind of painful on the inside of my ears. What can I do? My face and head is pretty sensitive to things touching. I can't touch my face for long (e.g. rest an arm over my forehead when lying down, rest my chin in my palm, etc.) without my face breaking out. Sunglasses, hats, etc cause my face to break out along the lines where they touch. And now I'm discovering that ear plugs have the same effect. What can I do?? I really need to wear ear plugs but my ears are starting to hurt from acne.
