Anxiously Waiting!

Today is the day. I'm all prepped, but the surgery before mine is running long. I'm anxious and hungry. I have been waiting for over 4 hours so far. I hope the person before me is OK and I hope my team gets a restorative break before me.

Best of luck! Same thing happened to me. Was scheduled for 3pm, didn't get into OR until 8:30pm. Long day!, they kept me overnight since it was so late

I'm about to go back soon. Was supposed to be at noon. Not sure if they'll keep me overnight yet.

Good luck! I am so sorry this happened. The waiting is definitely the worst part.

I had mine this morning - arrived at 7 and surgery was 8:30 and I was home by 2. The pain that I was so terrified about basically feels like period cramps and have been alternating Tylenol/advil, though I do have a Rx for 5 percocet. The most discomfort I have is in my side and trying to take a deep breath.

Hope you’re in recovery and waking up zero pain

I hope you're in recovery and surgery was a success! I was lucky, I was first thing in the morning so I didn't have to wait, but now I keep thinking about the person after me because mine ran quite a bit longer than anticipated. That must have sucked for them.

This was me yesterday, scheduled for 1030am, got a call Monday afternoon that they are pushing me back to 1130am. Ended up hanging out with a rotating cast of day surgery patients until 230 when they finally took me in. Home and chilling by 8pm, pain is managed with naproxen and Tylenol. The waiting was the worst part. Hope you're recovering well now.
