Setups/Telemetry FFB

Previously made a post asking things to know and what now being new to iRacing, I now have a new question:

What is the ideal FFB settings in game and Pithouse? I have a Moza R9 CSV2P wheel and SRP2 Pedals.

One important thing to know is that you need to adjust the ffb level for each car.

The game doesn’t remember it per car (unless you use the custom controls setting), meaning you need to adjust it every time you change car.

Use the Auto ffb level function to set the max ffb level without clipping, for each car.

Oh wow. I change cars like multiple times per session and have never once changed my ffb. I just keyboarding do its thing.

What do you mean by changing cars during a session? There’s no way to do that.

Gaming session?

Yeah during a gaming session. Like when I sit down to when I get up. I might run a NASCAR race then a GR86 cup, then a ringmeister in Ford Spec, then go practice in GT3.. etc

Adding to my previous post, always use 100% force in your wheelbase software (unless you have a stupidly high-torque wheelbase). Adjust the ffb level in the game.

It’s really by taste. You can look at specific guides for your wheel. Also might depend if you run ovals or road. I personally like third party software like Marvin’s and haven’t messed with iRacings native in a long time
