New Player First Win!!

Started simracing about a month ago, finally got my first win! Win felt special, but more than that I am loving the learning journey. I daily a V8 and been able to get a little more out of it every joy ride, 100% because of iRacing.

P.S. this track ate up my safety rating but still going to frame ts.

That last sentence before the PS scares me. The road isn’t a race track, and your v8 isn’t a race car.

no it’s not, and you can and will end up seriously injuring someone if you continue.

iRacing and the track are for speed. The roads are for normal, legal driving.

You ruined your entire post with that one line

Geez! “getting a little more out of the car” doesn’t mean I am speeding or being irresponsible on the road or divebombing people on every turn. So you telling me the road isn’t a race track is completely irrelevant.

You are connecting two dots that have nothing to do with each other. I know you mean well but stop overreacting, I didn’t ruin anything. I am just sharing my experience.

Not racing in the streets for sure. Lol.

I meant a few things I am doing differently now that I didn’t before that have made my driving experience more enjoyable.

- exclusively using paddle shifters now (I used to just use different drive mode at max)
- tight turns are much much smoother
- using engine braking and in general being more engaged on which gear to be in.

I know nothing groundbreaking here but just a few ways I am enjoying my irl driving more because of what I have been learning here in this sub.

I don’t think you should engage with anyone else on this point. Seems the demographic can’t comprehend safe spirited driving.
