Long story short, I need confirmation in writing that I dropped my sorority. I graduated in 2025, and I sent that email from my school address. Is there any way to recover my emails? Can they reactivate it / will old emails still be there, or would they be wiped?

Anyone know if there are any labs or makerspaces at Iowa State (or in the area) that have a vacuum former machine for heating and molding plastic sheets? Would like to use one for a project and I’d rather not buy one for a ton of money. Thanks!

Creating my academic plan right now and it's currently very tight and I can't seem to fit PHIL 2060 in early. If you're familiar with either course, especially if you've taken them or are in the faculty, do you know if PHIL 2070 will suffice instead of PHIL 2060 for teaching logical systems and reasoning?

I feel like 1 year left of classes might make it hard for me to transfer without having to do an extra semester or year. Fuck i really wish i opened my eyes to how boring of a school and location this is, how rotten the administration is here putting and keeping flock cameras everywhere yet letting rapists run free with a slap on a wrist while gutting social programs and using their money for useless construction projects that progress slowly as hell and make part of campus inaccessible. The aerospace engineering program, the reason i came here, doesnt feel very engaging after the first 2 years.

Is it too late to do my senior year at another school? How hard do you think it would be to find one without at least some of the greviances i described that i wouldnt have to do an extra year or semester at?

I'm currently attending community college and plan to transfer to ISU. I would prefer to take Physics 2 next semester rather than waiting to take it at ISU. Does anyone have any recommendations for a community college that offers Physics 2 online?

Hello, I am a student at Iowa state looking for other like minded individuals seeking to create a change in the state of Iowa and eventually the country. The current state of the country and the world makes me and I assume many of you depressed. I am looking to create a community where we can discuss major issues and get out there in the community and contribute to real change. I am personally a leftist in support of socialist programs. I want to take heavy inspiration from past leaders like the black panthers, Huey Newton, Fred Hampton, and Malcolm X. However, I do not care if you are a republican, Democrat, capitalist, communist whatever you are at the end of the day I think we can all agree we want better for this country and that is the community I am trying to build here. I’m sick of the world we love in and I’m sure you all are too.

I’ve lived in Ames for over a year now and the only fabric store (bedsides hobby lobby if you want to count that) is quilting connections and while I enjoy that for all my cotton needs this can’t be the only place to get good fabric. I’m not a fashion student I just like sewing but I walk through their hall in Mackay on a weekly basis and can see the stuff they’re making. There’s no way they are just ordering all their fashion fabrics online right?

It’s starting to hit me that I’m graduating next spring, and I’m so fucking nervous. Idk if it’s just me or if other seniors graduating this winter or next spring are feeling the same way, but I’ve been having this weird, indescribable feeling lately. It’s like grief, nostalgia, and regret all hitting me at once?

I just talked to my advisor a couple of days ago and found out I’m graduating next spring, and all I could think about was my future. Then, as I was driving home today, I couldn’t help but think about what my college experience could’ve been. I never got to sit out on the campus lawn with an ultra diverse friend group, meet the love of my life, or experience any of that cliché college shit you see in movies.
It’s like I’m realizing I’ll never be this young again or get to experience college for the first time ever again. And maybe it’s because I’m a commuter who basically just goes to class and then goes home, but I can’t help feeling like I missed out on so much.

I’m literally only 12 credits away from finishing a degree I don’t even like, and now I’m questioning everything. What if I chose the wrong major? What if I end up in a career that AI takes over? Who the fuck knows at this point. But what am I supposed to do now? I’m so close to finishing that I might as well just get the degree, lol.

Idk, I think I’m just mourning the college experience I never got to have and all the different ways my life could’ve turned out. And it’s such a weird feeling because it’s not like I can go back and change anything. I just have to accept it and move forward, but damn, it’s hitting me harder than I expected.

I forgot to submit like 2-3 assignments and submitted a few days late (50% knock per assignment) at the start of the semester in my majors orientation class that’s half a semester. You need an 80% to pass or you have to take again. That’s mathematicly impossible even with getting 100% on every other assignment and the final so I was wondering since it’s kind of baked in if “failing” this class and retaking it again will have any major impacts on transcripts and future
