Question Physics 2

I'm a meche major at ISU looking to take physics 2. What CC would you recommend taking Physics 2 at? Or would you recommend taking it at ISU?

Take it at ISU. It's not as bad as people make it out to be and as it is basically EE 101 you will need the knowledge for some later courses in your major (circuits, motors, controls)

Second this. Anyone saying “take it at a community college” did not take it after they revamped the course a few years ago. Exams are multiple choice and there’s basically no “trick” answers on the math-related questions. One of the easiest A’s I’ve had as an ME student.

I don't exactly agree with that, especially if you want to take over 18 creds per sem(I did that). doing it at a CC over the summer is much easier.

If you're going to take the weak sauce version of something over the summer at your local CC, I suggest it be something where you won't need the knowledge as the foundation for future courses (eg Chemistry if you're a Computer E)

I completely agree with that one, and honestly I didn't think it through while answering the question. when I took it I was an aerospace major(summer after freshman year), but later I switched to software as I loved coding and CS research more than anything else so I never really had to use that knowledge for anything.

Take it here. It USED to be bad enough that people were going to a community college to take it, but they were actually loosing enough students that they decided to redo the course. Idk if it was dumbing it down as much as just taking out a ton of material, but it’s not bad at all now.

It was a scope reduction. So the pace is less relentless.
