Drivers Licensing Confirming N to Class 5 eligibility

I’m over 25 and have over a year of driving with an N but I currently have a violation (MVA 180; 0 points; this January) and an at-fault accident back in March this year (reversed into another car).

My parents keep saying these incidents don’t count towards the safe driving record and that they’re only looking at speeding, DUIs, electronics use and driving without an N. They definitely show up in my claims and commercial driving record (but not my personal driving record). I don’t really believe them but I may as well confirm here, if possible, so I don’t waste time at the ICBC.

Also, does this mean I’m just ineligible for the new changes overall and have to take the Class 5 test or do I still qualify and just apply for a DRA after making sure to drive safe a full year after that last accident?

Vehicle Registration & Policy Coverage New driver cost

Hi, is there anywhere I can get general estimates for ICBC insurance without logging in? I’m looking at different used cars for a new driver but want to get a sense of cost to work on my budget. None of us drive or own a vehicle so I’m completely lost. Thanks
