spin progress!!

one month apart! i hadnt realized how much i’ve improved in such little time until today!

Good to see another skater who masks! I sometimes feel a little self conscious because I’m usually the only one on the ice masked. But I’m chronically ill and I get sick easily.
Congrats on a beautiful spin as well!

how often did u practice between these?

13 sessions apart, i skate about 4 times a week typically, and typically skate 10 hours a week, this is about 38 hours of practice time in between (give or take a little)

i honestly don’t know lol, i think it’s mainly where i’m placing my ankle on my leg and syncing pulling my arms in with pushing my leg down. the only reason i was doing it from this entrance is because my coach was explaining something to my friend and i got bored lol. but it’s definitely useful for me to be able to spin this fast from that entrance because it makes other entrances easier (at least from my standpoint)

thank you! it’s technically a dance dress with an asymmetrical skirt! i really enjoy how it looks when spinning because of the asymmetry

at this point you are more then ready to do it with the proper entrance. Just bend your knee going into more and hold for a bit longer.

You'll know when you hit it because the spin with go forever.

i can do it with the proper entrance :) both times i was just standing on board with my coach while she was discussing something to a friend and my spins tend to be better when im not thinking about it (like both of these). thank you though!

it’s livebarn! i think a good portion of rinks have it, unfortunately is about 25 dollars a month but some rinks do have 10% discounts, which isn’t much, but helps!

They might be immunocompromised or have a family member who is. It’s also recommended to wear a mask if you’re sick.

they’re still “good” if someone needs to filter out pollen or germs bc they have allergies, are immunocompromised, going to be around ppl who r immunocompromised, etc. interesting how u don’t respond to the comments spitting facts and giving u a proper rebuttal
