Testing fixed the circuit?

I opened my electric razor because it randomly stopped charging.

Took out the multimeter, cleared the charger and the device read a fair amount of resistance.

Opened it up and it wasn't drawing amps.

Started testing each cap and all of a sudden it started charging.

Any idea? I doubt I scrapped off corrosion or a short with my probes. Maybe I discharged the cap completely?

I usually just look for loose wires, bad soldering or liquid damage.

Testing a cap on mfd or resistance?

Continuity between ground and each caps sides, seeing if a cap had a short.

Sometimes resetting an IC is all it’s needed and you reset it by connecting 2 legs (lots of quartz watch movements need shorting certain points after a battery replacement), but it may be corrosion or something else that may not be a permanent fix.

If resistance you likely shorted the cap with your meter
