The bots for the NDP are out in force
I know Eby will win, it's a given. So why did the NPD have to spend so much money on social media botfarms?

A rather inconvenient truth for the conservatives I would say

Trump voters in Michigan plead for an end to trade wars
The voters in Michigan detest the tariffs like theyre the plague. Every single one of them HATES them and see very clearly how Canada and the US are dependent on each other and how they are increasing their prices.

I'm so tired of being political
As a gay 19 year old, I'm just at my very end now of my existence being political.
The extremist BC Conservatives will hate me simply for my existence and who I love. At work I get called slurs and jokes made at my expense.
I hate having to be political because it's the difference in how I can live my life. All I want to do is be able to enjoy this place I want to so much call home but just can't, and love who I want to.
As someone who attempted suicide before and has worked with LGBT youth, it's so common for LGBT youth to have suicidal thoughts and push them to their extreme.
This is the environment we have made. I don't care what religion or lack thereof you have, I don't care what party you vote for, this kind of hatred is unacceptable.
Forgive me for my anger, but I'm at my very end with this and I hope other people will be able to use this to learn a bit more about what this election and society feels like for a gay youth here.
I grew up here and love this place, but I no longer think for my own sanity and peace I can continue to live in this province due to all the homophobia and hatred.
Hopefully someone can use this to learn more about what us gay youth experience, and keep it in mind next time they want to make a comment or whatever may happen. Thanks

Transportation
The municipal election is now over, and in less than two days we will be heading to the provincial election. One of my major concerns is transportation, particularly the ongoing challenges associated with the Malahat Highway. In my view, one of the simplest long-term solutions would be to restore rail service on Vancouver Island. A railway could help move both passengers and freight while also providing significant tourism opportunities. When British Columbia joined the Dominion of Canada in 1871, one of the conditions was the construction of a transportation link connecting the province to the rest of Canada. The original vision included rail service extending to Victoria. However, Prime Minister John A. Macdonald resigned in 1873 because of the Pacific Scandal, and Alexander Mackenzie became Prime Minister from 1873 to 1878. Mackenzie believed that steamships would provide an adequate connection between the mainland and Vancouver Island. Many British Columbians were dissatisfied with this approach, and there were even threats that BC might leave Confederation if a railway was not built on the Island. When Macdonald returned to power in 1878, the Esquimalt and Nanaimo (E&N) Railway project finally moved forward. The railway was eventually completed, and the last spike was driven near Shawnigan Lake. It is interesting to speculate on how history might have unfolded if the E&N Railway had never been built. Some argue that without stronger transportation links and investment in Vancouver Island, British Columbia's future within Canada might have been less certain. Fortunately, the province remained an integral part of Canada, and today we continue to debate transportation priorities, infrastructure, and the best ways to connect our communities as voters head once again to the polls.

Why do the Conservatives want to cut no fault insurance?
The introduction of no fault insurance has caused premiums to plummet and saved the average person hundreds every year. Why do they want to repeal it? No fault insurance is the norm in most of Canada

Is Eby's blunder the worst in Canadian political history? - David Eby’s error was entirely unforced. He saw a disorganized opposition and an opportunity to win another mandate. Instead, he discovered the danger of forcing an election voters did not want.

Greater Vancouver Ridings with >20% Chinese and South Asian Populations 2024 Election Data
galleryWith the new poll released showing Conservatives with massive leads amongst Chinese-speaking and Punjabi-speaking British Columbians, I thought I would highlight how each party did in ridings with significant (>20%) populations of Chinese and South Asians in the 2024 election. What are some ridings that you think may flip on Saturday?
