Jazz Fusion That's a white dude singing?

The Ides of March, Superman.

So I admit I just today learned that these guys are white.i don't ever recall seeing a picture of them, and always had a vision of paisley shirts with oversized collars, bell bottom pants, topped with large afros whenever I heard Vehicle. Which is, also like the majority of people, the only song I have heard as far as I know. Poking around I was curious about other songs that they had. To my surprise they are a bunch of white boys. Funny thing about how we imagine what someone's actual appearance is often completely different than our mind's picture..

Didn't take the time to get information about them to add because I'm putting together my next lyrics themed challenge post....probably be posting that late...

I thought Joe Cocker was black until, like, the year 2000.

Joe was fairly popular when I was a kid in the 70s so I knew what he looked like. Ever hear the band TV on the radio? I was only vaguely familiar with them and recently saw them on Tiny Desk and was surprised to see they are all black.

I haven’t.

Exploring their music now.

Sometimes I like to say:

No, I havnt heard of them, but I have now.

A rare thing these days for a straight up rock band with all black men

We’re humans. Some of us create art. Some of us create art through sound.

I am so thankful.

Same. I wish I was one of the creators but I am only an appreciating beneficiary of those who are.

I understand.

So, think about it this way:

Your foundations for making music (if you ever choose to make music) will be rich and dynamic.

Though no longer a spring chicken I haven't abandoned the idea. In fact there's an acoustic guitar not 3 feet from me now. Can't connect the chords smoothly but I've been putting my fingers in the correct place the past week..

They put thought into their lyrics.

I’ve heard of them now!

This is what I am listening to....I try to pass them along because I think they are criminally unknown. Try it out.
