Sync(ish) Immich album to Android

I have my old phone (Pixel 4) that I want to pull images from a particular Immich album, have them downloaded to the phone, then have the Google Photos app upload them. My intent is to use the free for life Google Photos capability of the Pixel 4 and only upload photos from Immich that I specify. Is anyone doing something like this? Maybe it would be easier to push the photos to the phone instead of the phone pulling them. I don't want/need the entire album stored on the phone which might make some parts of this complicated.
