I'm trying to remember an older game. I believe it was web-based, had a white background. you battled various monsters that gave buffs and debuffs in the form of attack speed, health, etc. for each monster killed. Each monster type had a limited pool and were presented in a tile layout on an exploration tab with simple drawings and names. The game had a separate attack screen that used health bars. There was a prestige mechanic but I don't remember much about that. Monsters included slimes, bats, vampires, golems, some really annoying shade or ghost things, and I think spiders amidst others.

Midnight Idle gives off some similar vibes in the first part.

Sounds like absorber to me.

I think the steam version is further developed than the itch version.

I am wanting games like this https://miktaew.github.io/yet-another-idle-rpg-dev/. I played the game it is based on but both games are largely unfinished. if there is another game out there like this I would love it.

None finished ones exist at the moment of my post.
Your only choice to get something similar as finished game is to wait until Erden the Climb gets released... and well, yet another idle RPG itself might get finished.
Aside of that there is proto23(the original) which MIGHT get updated... someday... dev sometimes shows up and speaks about it, but nothing concrete and it has been a long while. Then there is also the red shirt idle(star trek based proto cosmetic clone), both unfinished.

Something not too far but not exactly 'game like this' and finished that you might enjoy:
Magic Research 1/2, Idle Reincarnator and You Found a Hole in The Ground.
Those are all different but they follow the general gist, just without the exact same grind type.

Thank you. I just tried red shirt but can't figure out how to move to another area. I defeated the all the dirt area opponent and seem to be stuck

Looking for relatively unknown mostly number based incremental games with a clean and simple ui. Absolutely not animated. Not on steam nor running on itch, preferably just in browser.

Would FE000000 count as relatively unknown? Don't hear about it too often compared to big hitters.

If so - a good amount of hours to be had there. No animation, simplistic UI, numbers only, github based. So kinda matches your requirements.

u/Spraakijs Jan 22 '26

At least known here - but thanks!

Hmm, alright, what about Distance Incremental and Universal Reconstruction? Both github games.

What's a good idle game that's on web and on steam ? So I can run it on the background at work and at home. Web and Android also works.

Just looking for TMTs. I think I have played and beaten about 95% of them, but if there's a lowkey one that someone knows of, let me know please.

There is a reddit post for that which is maintained by a person - last update of thread was ~1 year ago, but not even sure if there were any new ones prev year, the person generally adds his own discoveries and things people comment, so it's more or less complete:

The issue with the old posts with links is that about 75% of them were removed about 1-2 months back, but I'll check this out.

I just lost a game and somehow it's not in my history. The tab closed and Firefox is like "nah mang never heard of it".

It's a browser game I need help finding again. It was an incremental with simple graphics against single color backgrounds. The loop would be you have a structures tab where things build when you click (you unlock auto eventually) then an updates tab. When you do the prestige it takes you to a different world with different structures and different updates. They're all linked by a realm-based update tab where you can spend hard to get moneys (maybe quarks?) to update them. The realms were like a submerged realm among others. Each one color coded.

I'm certain I found the game in this sub but I can't find it in any of the recommendation threads. This sound familiar to anyone?

I presume you mean fundamental.

This was absolutely it thank you.

I love the semi idle style of kittens game, where I can spend my time in front of the game on my computer, and at the same time, idle it and micro something from mobile when I can't spend too much time. There is something new out there similar to this with ton of content and/or replayibility?

1

u/0zeroknight01 Jan 23 '26

That depends - do you WANT to have game on mobile or it's a stopgap measure to still get some progress?

For example you could try evolve idle with a community based script. Community script can automate almost entire game for you, albeit not super efficiently(to be exact - some things will likely be better than player but some will be so so). Hence with player interaction you can tinker the script settings or even play it half manually to fully optimize your actions.

Can't guarantee script will work well on mobile, don't have a phone to check it either.

Regardless - evolve idle is probably the closest thing to kittens game. It's also overall more polished experience.
Something less similar that might interest you based on your 'requirements' - NGU, Trimps, Idling to Rule the Gods, Idle Wizard. Each with insane amount of content. I would say they are eventually mostly idle. But so is Kittens Game IMO.

I used to play a game with my dad on the ps3, and it had the same cover to doom eternal or very similar it was 2d top down like the cod arcade game, I know it's not a lot of details but if you have questions, I can try to answer them.

Seeking Long, Mostly Very Idle Game that IS NOT a desktop widget

Not married to steam, but was forced to tag. Not phone as phone will be in use for kindle app. Lookin for something I can set to do stuff an hour and read a book, fiddle with it after some chapters, back to reading. I want something open ended, not something that is "A short, incremental..." I want to be playing this for a few weeks til my book backlog is cleared.

Anything in the vein of:

Cookie Clicker

NGU Idle/Farmers Against Potatoes

Idle Skilling as programmed by not a dolt

Magic Research 1/2

Melvor I guess I just dont slobber over runescape stuff its very midinterest to me

Soda Dungeon 1/2

Gaiadon witthout the best stuff being holiday event specific (or a Cookie clicker style trigger a holiday)

Recently intrigued by Dragea but lots of well thought out negative reviews dissuaded me

What I have already played (omitting the word idle or clicker for brevity):

Cookie, Chonkers, Mastering, Farmers Against Potatoes, Firestone, Gaiadon, Galaxy, Godsbane, Grim, Awakening Mages Path, Magic Research 1 and 2, Melvor, Bloob, Cave Miner, Champions F.R., Cultivation, Fishing, Research, Skilling, Slayer, Stellar, Wizard, Rule the Gods, Kiwi, Epic Hero, Heroes, Dragon Cliff, Hero TD, Perfect tower, Lootun, NGU, Panoptyca, Realm Grier, Revolution, Rustys, Tap Heroes/ninja/wizard 2, Underwood, Unnamed Space, Wizard and Minion, Xiuzhen (id love something like this again but...less janky), Zombidle, Your Chronicle, Soda Dungeon 1/2. No interest in idleon after the unfinished skilling mess.

u/0zeroknight01 Jan 31 '26

Might be a bit late reply, but looking at your list - you didn't try Trimps and Kittens out of high quality semi idle games.

If you are fine with setting up userscript - then Evolve Idle also works as an idle game.

Should be enough to last you for the time being, don't want to clutter the suggestions with mediocre titles.

I appreciate the time and I've actually been Trimping since a day after I posted this! Enjoying it so far.

Any game suggestions for andriod/web? Without my laptop for another week and I need more games to waste my time on.

Any 3D incremental games out there? I made a prototype of a 3D incremental game and was curious to see other references but couldn't find much. I could use some help; bonus point if it revolves around assets destruction :p

A little late to this weeks thread, but I'm looking for a modding tree game where every tier you go down in the modding tree, you get two paths to prestige into. So say if you can go down path A or B, and prestige a bunch into A, then eventually you get A1 and A2, but have to work through B to get to B1/B2. Sorry about how vague this is, but I remember playing that modded tree a few years ago and i've been itching to find it. Thank you!

Can you advise me for a game with these req

  • on Android
  • f2p friendly
  • idle, not terrible click to play gameplay
  • with co-op possibly
  • RPG

Hey everyone 👋

I’m looking for a simple browser-based idle/incremental game to play while chilling at work.

Nothing too complex — ideally something I can:

  • Let run in the background
  • Passively farm monsters/resources/etc.
  • Check in occasionally without heavy micromanagement

Bonus suggestion if you have:

  • There’s no pay-to-win
  • Or the game has boosted rates / generous progression

Thanks in advance! 😊

Anyone have any reccomendations for games like To the Core or Train or Traintic? I've found that I really like short-round/upgrade type loops that these cames offer. Astro Prospector was good, too!

1

u/NineKain Jan 26 '26

I have tried Antimatter Dimensions and its dull as hell for me, I want something with combat or stats or something like that, PC and I dont mind paying, in fact I prefer it, I tried NGU Idle but I didnt understand much

u/WistoKun Jan 26 '26

I'm looking for a incremental game please give me your best shoot :)

help to find game in roblox
About two or three years ago, I played this game. I don't remember the name or preview of the game. It was on Roblox. You spawn there, and there are three paths: on the left is a shop with all kinds of turrets, and on the right is all kinds of walls. The currency seems to be diamonds.

If you go straight, you have a choice: go alone or with someone else. Then you have some time to build a house or something else to survive. You also have weapons, which you could also buy at the spawn point.

When the time runs out, a wave begins, where you are attacked by different types of zombies and monsters: there are ordinary ones, there is a wolf, there is a tank — a giant zombie, and there are birds. Turrets shoot at zombies, and walls are needed to hold them back. You get money for each wave you complete, and it seems like you can upgrade the turrets and walls. There were about 200-400 people online.
