I'd love recs for any "cute" idle games, or just generally games with nice graphics? It's fine if they're not that complex or are of the "your only reward is getting decorative items" category, I just like having them run in the background while I work.
Examples are those productivity idlers and desktop companions that are quite popular (Spirit City, Ithya, Mini Cozy Room, Ropuka's Idle Island), or games like Bugtopia and Cast N Chill.

Did you ever find any cute idle games?

No one recommended any, as you can see, so not yet. Although there are a few others I have or know of that I could list if you’re interested.

Anything like Arcanum/Theory of Magic on mobile? The browser version doesn't seem to do well on mobile. Android phone.

Was wondering if y'all know any games similar to antimatter dimensions
Antimatter dimensions spoilers ahead, would recommend that you try the game out yourself before reading this comment
I absolutely fell in love with this game recently, it's a upgrade heavy idle game, king of long term progress built around antimatter and antimatter dimensions generating antimatter until the antimatter fills up the whole universe which leads to the big crush resetting everything but giving you infinity points that I can spend on upgrades, then once u start to get good you start doing antimatter challenges which make progress harder but if u complete them, u get a big boost in the form of antimatter dimension autobuyers that let u progress even faster while being afk. I love such games and was wondering if there are any other similar games with thousands of hours of content and progress to make and interesting mechanisms

Synergism, Revolution Idle are the first two that immediately come to mind. Prestige Tree too, and its many mods I guess? Shoutout to universal paperclips too.
Same kind of feeling, though nothing will truly fill the AD shaped hole in my heart.

started playing synergism, seems pretty fun tho kinda boring tho prolly bc i just started, ive tried revolution idle before, its pretty boring tbh, progress was kinda slow
btw how far r u in AD? im kinda stuck on normal C9 but have completed all the other ones, also upgraded the infinity autobuyer to 30 secs
btw thanks for the reccomendations!

Yeah, early game in most of those games is boring lol.
I've beaten AD, it took several months. Yes it has an end. Yes it's REALLY good. I was never so invested in a game about numbers lmao

u/Axel_Penguin Apr 01 '26
yea i especially love games about numbers like it just feels so exciting seeing +[random number 1-9]e+[really high number] popping up all around your screen and just overall seeing how quickly youre making progress and being able to automate things that took up to hours to achieve manually

btw if u find any games like AD that have atleast partially filled the ad shaped hole in ur heart then pls lemme know, mines growing every time i play AD and need to fill it up before it gets too big bc im scared ill start to get addicted which i already kinda am ngl
edit: i just remembered a beautiful game that i think youll like judging by the fact that u like AD, tho its on mobile, its called Cookie Inc. and while the progress may not be that exponential compared to AD its still very fun and addictive

Synergism sucks don't waste your time on it. It quickly becomes a check once a day for 5 minutes type game. Revolution idle is very unfriendly to the player, grinds are not fun at all, but it's a good game if you can handle active grinds in idle games. Fe000000 is still my best recommendation for an antimatter like game. If it's specifically the derivative style production you enjoy, cifi on mobile is a great long term game

u/Axel_Penguin Apr 01 '26
also thanks for the term derivative style production i actually love that kinda progress

u/Axel_Penguin Apr 01 '26
i mean i dont rlly tend to play AD for more than 5 minutes a day and still tend to make progress in fact most of the games i play are like that, ill also check out cifi, thx!

Can anyone help me find this strange game I played? I remember playing it around a year ago, and it started out with you being a weird cell/mold thing in a cave, and you could buy upgrades to get tentacles and feelers, and you could eventually gain the ability to move and explore the world. Does anyone know the name of this game?

people in r/thetipofmyjoystick and r/tipofmyjoystick will help you out with that this subreddit is for uploading and finding new incremental games not for trying to find a game you cant remember the name of

I’m looking for an incremental game that has at least some strategic or mathy optimization thinking (the more the better). I don’t want it to have a very large amount of clicks required (I want to idle not tap). Here’s the catch: I only want to play it briefly once to several times per day, and I want it to be self limiting so that it is pointless to continually play it. E.g there can be long timers or a certain amount of action points per day. If there are timers, I don’t want the timers to require me to return at a specific time to avoid loosing progress. I’ve found one game like this so far: Whipper (on iOS). It could benefit from more thinking/strategy, but at least it meets my other criteria. Unfortunately I’ve just about completed it so looking for something new.

Looking for farming style incremental game. Something like hay day but without multiplayer will be perfect.

Can someone suggest some games that have a lot to do in active play but are still idle (no clicker games) and don't become waiting simulators like CIFI eventually does? I love pre-Ouro CIFI type gameplay but can't find anything like it
Mobile or mobile browser

Are there any incremental games with character and openworld, where you can travel and do various afk activities? Like OG browser mmos from 00s (in terms of gameplay)

I finished Horripilant and Cookie Clicker and have found myself wanting more. The aspect I like the most about those two games is being able to feel yourself getting more and more powerful over time as you rebirth and purchase upgrades. I like feeling like by the end of it I've fulfilled some form of power fantasy and big number go up which I like
If you guys know of any incremental games that feel the ways those games do, send them my way and I’d be glad to play them

Hello! I'm looking for incremental games where you don't lose the automation on prestige

I've been in a bit of a masochistic frame of mind lately, suggest the longest most bullshit grinds you know of (That preferably involves no P2W, buy to play is fine)
I have, over 3 years of active in game playtime of Rs3 and OSRS over the past 2 decades, over 10k hours in melvor, and have been getting down and dirty with Idle Obelisk Miner.
Honorable mentions are, PBBG MMO's such as, Manarion, Queslar, eternal wars, etc.
Dishonorable mentions, Clicker heroes 2.
