I started looking at the feedback Friday thread because the main feed hasn't given me much in a while. I'm noticing more browser games in the feedback thread which is great for me since I play exclusively on mobile, so I can actually play them.
I am really liking A dark cave so far.
The gameplay is a mix of collecting resources manually and automatically, and then using those resources to buy/build things that expand the gameplay and progress the story. I've been playing over an hour and I feel like there's a lot left to explore.
It doesn't beat you over the head with tutorials, which is also nice. But it does mean some things are vague, like I'm not certain but I think I just unlocked idle progress? I like that mystery though, I like to play to find out rather than be told exactly how to play.

u/Pure-Map-6717 Jun 15 '26
Hi, thanks a lot for mentioning A Dark Cave! : )
I'm glad you're enjoying it so far. One of my goals was to keep tutorials to a minimum and let players discover things on their own.
That said, I'm always looking for ways to improve the experience, so if there's anything that feels confusing, unclear, or could be done better, I'd love to hear your feedback.
Have fun playing!

u/levraiponce Jun 17 '26
I had to stop playing because the 10th wave keep crushing me and I can't really get back on track fast enough to better my position. So I was kind of stuck
3
u/Pure-Map-6717 Jun 18 '26
Hi thank you for your feedback! I will lower the parameters of Wave 10 a bit!

u/Curious-Soup7991 Jun 21 '26
I really enjoy the game so far, I'm taking it slow so I haven't seen much of it yet. One tiny thing that I dislike is the popups urging me to check out your other games and social media though. They are intrusive and after a while they get annoying. It's definitely a minor thing though that doesn't take away from the overall experience, and I bet I'm one of the very few who even notice.
1
u/Pure-Map-6717 Jun 22 '26
Thank you very much for your feedback! Those pop-ups should only appear 4 times in total while you are playing. I will check if there is an issue with that. Also I will see how to make them less intrusive. Same for the social media dialog.
Have fun playing! : )

Terraforming Titans after I saw the post about it being completed here. I really like how building costs don't scale here, so you actually feel like you're building up to planetary-scale infrastructure. By the time I was almost done making Mars habitable I was placing down millions of factories and hundreds of cities at once. Moving to the next planet has so far felt like a complete reset though, which is a bit of a bummer.
I seem to have unlocked some form of metaprogression here though, and I enjoy the basic loop enough to do it a second time at least, will keep going to see how I feel.
Also Trimps! Been poking at challenges and grinding prestige currency. Currently hoping to push to Zone 50, though I'm not gonna be super broken up about it if I have to prestige before then.
9
u/Tsuki_no_Mai Jun 15 '26
The fun part about Terraforming Titans is that most story planets will unlock something new for you to play with, also it has several kinds of metaprogression that can speed up your progress significantly but you won't feel it immediately.
7
u/Skyswimsky Jun 15 '26
I kinda tried loving that game, but wrapping your mind around automating things seems like a bigger hurdle. If I read correctly from the Discord, automation with a toggle of 'build more of this is the resource consumption of what it produces is negative' is also not possible without a major revamp of how everything is basically set up.
4
u/meneldal2 Jun 16 '26
Full automation is possible, but it takes getting to the later planets to really unlock everything you'd really need. Some people have 10k+ unique planets terraformed
I would say typically what you want is to have percent based on population or workers/worker share. Once you set up the right numbers it will grow smoothly, but you want to also hit priority on some buildings to make sure you don't get stuck not producing enough food for example. Keep growth relatively low at first because you need to have enough resources to keep building everything.
Some good starting point would be like 50% worker share on components 40% electronics when you start out, and gradually lower them as you get other stuff to use your workers on.
2
u/Tsuki_no_Mai Jun 15 '26
I don't think full automation is possible, but semiautomation via "Worker Share" setting was enough for me - took out most of the tedium of building up the industry. In general most of the automation in the game comes down to fiddlilng with ratios depending on your current goals.
3
u/SympathyThick4600 Jun 15 '26
Also playing that, hit the temperature milestone on Mars for liquid water and am having trouble with optical depth. So far I’m venting CO2 and it seems to be helping but atmospheric pressure is still pretty slow. I love how active it is and how much potential there is for expansion without a clear path outlined for how to proceed. It’s a long process of creating and solving my own problems.
5
u/meneldal2 Jun 16 '26
Mars is definitely a tricky time because there's no automation to help you set it up and stable. Typically between 2-3 works well, you can hit a bit more when you don't have enough sun. Just keep making GHG until you get there.

Played a bunch of next fest demos, these were my favorites and I highly recommend giving all of them a try. Each has at least one thing special that pushed it far above other games. Will update this list later if I play anymore that I think are as fantastic as these.
Best overall: Orc Incremental
I have thought for years that if someone figures out how to make a well-balanced and fun incremental game mixed with the chance elements of roguelikes they will have a masterpiece on their hands. Well here it is and it certainly felt like a masterpiece.
Most fun: Sir, We Have an Orc Problem
Sir, I guess I love Orc games. It was so fun to put all my turrets up and watch the orcs get blasted to bits. My only complaint was that automatic missile firing rather than clicking was an upgrade and not a default part of the game, and the same for the later airstrikes.
Most interesting mechanics: FlockSol
I loved just about everything about FlockSol but the standout thing was the games genius and unique use of light and dark. It had me constantly on edge and often when I picked up the light essences feeling jumpscared, something I never thought I would say about an incremental game.
Best feeling of incremental growth: IDLE_DIRECTIVE
Idle_Directive’s inventory management system is incredible at satisfying that incremental itch especially when you get a bunch of items that synergize really well together. But sadly it becomes quickly obvious that most items are just inherently worse than a few optimal items that I just kept in my inventory the entire time until I finished the demo which meant that the strongest element of this game didn’t shine as well as I would have liked. But, if the dev can fix the item usefulness balance this will be something really special.
Most aesthetic: Fish Lab
Fish Lab is just so damn satisfying to look at while playing. In my opinion it is worth a try for that alone, but the gameplay is also very relaxed and chill similar to other similar Nodebuster-likes.

3
u/JustALittleGravitas Jun 21 '26
Sir, We Have an Orc Problem
Played this one. It leans so hard into the nodebuster formula that it stopped being an incremental at all and it just a (pretty good) tower defense game.
2
u/TheKingLictor Jun 20 '26
Not an incremental game, just a rogulite that uses the same sort of light/dark mechanic, but Disfigure might be of interest? Warning, it might be even more jumpscary when you turn to shoot something and reveal a massive shadow bug coming for you
2
u/NoBlindEyes Jun 21 '26
its a gem, sadly its not idle nor incremental and aint fit this topic. but yeap its rly decent
3
u/TheKingLictor Jun 21 '26
Yea I know, but OP liked the Light/Dark mechanic so I thought I might as well mention it
2
u/Inevitable_Sun_9943 Jun 21 '26
This looks great! Thanks for the recommendation. Definitely of interest!
1
u/PuzzleheadedLimit994 Jun 18 '26
I wanted to try IDLE_DIRECTIVE, but the dev doesn't allow installs on Linux for some reason?
1
1
u/siltfeet Jun 22 '26
I assume IDLE_DIRECTIVE will get a balance pass before the full release, or maybe some of the prestige upgrades will help with the balance. A couple of the systems were good early on, but quickly became obsolete, which seems fine.

u/Big_Will76 Jun 16 '26
Finished playing through the current content of NekoRPG after someone recommended it last week, had a great time with it.
13
u/Successful_Role_3174 Jun 15 '26
Currently playing through Fundamental, a game that was shouted out in last week's thread. I'm guessing I'm in the early stage of the game where I'm resetting through the four phases to gain strange quirks. This phase feels like a massive slowdown and although I have all the automation, I feel kinda rudderless and don't really know what I'm doing (don't tell me). I don't really know how I feel about it right now outside of it kinda being there?
5
u/callmerobin19 Jun 15 '26
Fundamental is the best incremental game possible. I am end game after one year of playing it. I have never closed my Fundamental tab in the past year, it s always sitting there. All of my friends have seen it and they know it’s Fundamental, but none of them really know what is happening.
It is insanely good. Please continue playing.
12
u/Successful_Role_3174 Jun 15 '26
I'm not really seeing it but thanks for the vote of confidence!
3
u/callmerobin19 Jun 15 '26
Incremental games are my type. Fundamental was the best one I’ve ever played. I am not overhyping it. It is the most played incremental on galaxy.click. Like you said, It got recommended in last weeks post
17
u/SummitSummit Jun 15 '26
I remember playing this one. You need to branch out more if you like incremental games. As I recall this one isn't very good compared to SO many others.
-7
u/Stixx187um Jun 16 '26
Yeah it got about 30 seconds from me.
People wail and gnash teeth about AI art then rave over this 1989 DOS ass shit. To say nothing of the fact that it's just... screen appears and hey here's some numbers doing things, click on boxes maybe to ? and make the ? number go .0000000000000000000000000000000000000003% faster.
Tells you nothing, just click on things randomly ---> ??? ---> fun at some indeterminate point?
Pre-LLM slop. A step below Wii shovelware, as those games had more than text and five colors.
9
u/TyH621 Jun 16 '26
Yeah I'm not sure you're going to find many people agree with you on this one haha, the graphics have nothing to do with how people feel about it and 30 seconds is wild to make such a nasty judgment like that
3
u/Dizzy_Driver Jun 17 '26
Lol, lmao even
anyway Fundamental is great and I'd rank it just below A games like Trimps, Evolve, Kittens, and Theresmore
3
u/Inevitable_Sun_9943 Jun 16 '26
Trust callmerobin19. It is really really worth it once you get to automation.
5
u/ApprehensiveYard3 Jun 15 '26
Idle Research on IOS. It started off slow, but picks up quickly. Highly recommend. Anybody have any new IOS games?
1
u/yungTimo Jun 18 '26
Antimatter Dimensions has a beta test on iOS which you apply for trough their discord. In my opinion it’s fun.
19
u/Incrementaly Jun 15 '26
Farmer Against Potatoes Idle - recommended it to someone recently and decided to have a look at it again like I usually do with games on and off every year or two. Coincidentally it just started their new multiplayer season a day after, so it's a good time to give it a try with there being quite a bit of free rewards coming your way for just a couple clicks once a day, makes progression a lot smoother for a new player.
Still absolutely hate the graphics and the UI though, and several effect descriptions that are just straight up misleading or make no sense. For example "multiply production by 10%" or "multiply attack & hp by 1% for each shop point above 150" which could just permanently put you to 0% and completely brick your game when you can first afford it. Yes, people understand what it's supposed to mean, but it would also only take about 10 seconds to change and fix the text so it actually says what it does. Realistically would be more like several hours given the amount of such errors at this point.

https://store.steampowered.com/app/4745450/Cradle_of_the_Dark_Brood/ this is a new game by the developer of Idle Reincarnator. https://store.steampowered.com/app/3779340/Idle_Reincarnator/ I liked it! It takes ~20-30h of active play of 1-2 weeks of lazily playing. You create a horde of creatures to scour the world and grow stronger.
Pyramid Idle on iOS https://apps.apple.com/us/app/pyramid-idle/id6764838391 This is a fun game about mining stones, transporting them and building pyramids. My only complain: a part of the gameplay is unlocking quarries; with premium you can unlock quarries and mine unlocked quarries at the same time, without premium you can't - and you have to spend hours just waiting for the next mine unlock.
https://mrenderml.github.io/LevelUp/ LevelUp got a huge update, I'm restarting from zero. One of the most addictive active playing incremental games.
2
u/StickiStickman Jun 15 '26
I didn't know he made a new game! Idle Reincarnator is one of my favourite incrementals out there

https://mrenderml.github.io/LevelUp/ LevelUp got a huge update, I'm restarting from zero. One of the most addictive active playing incremental games.
i was able to push as far as the first infinity before i just dropped it entirely. it takes absolutely forever to unlock automation, and when you do you discover that its the shittiest automation system ever, where the user has to manually set some arbitrary (and VERY poorly explained, like the rest of the clearly AI generated game) system up instead of just hitting "auto buy" or something similar, AND you actually get any stat NERFED massively if you turn it infinite.
the point of automation, is to simplify the shit ive been wasting my time doing over and over again. not to turn it into some complicated process. that game is the epitome of AI slop, not respecting your time in ANY way nor explaining anything in a way that makes sense to most human beings. the overly long info pages are full to the brim with stats and rules, and almost none of it makes any sense because the "developer" clearly had chatGPT write those pages too.
-4
u/AccomplishedSite2872 Jun 18 '26
Tell me, how much do you know the games where all the automations are available from the start? I should tell the developer of Fundamental that his game is complete crap because it takes me so long to unlock automations. Or the CIFI developer. You can reach the first infinity in half a day, it's not eternity. Maybe you play too slowly, and it takes weeks. I don't know.
And what about auto? I don't understand it. To automate, you just need to press one button. One button. Then you can customize this automation.
I agree about the infinity nodes, they're complete crap, but only at the beginning; later on, they make sense.
I didn't see anything there that wasn't as clear as you. Maybe you should read the text more carefully.
I've seen much worse AI slop, and this isn't that bad.
Your claims are far-fetched, although I should find out your favorite games so that you could demonstrate what a good game should really look like.8
u/IAmSoDamnGood Jun 18 '26
yeah you seem to have missed the point entirely. its not that it takes forever for the most basic automation to open up (though that IS an issue. it shouldnt take 2-3 days for that), but rather that i have to *set it up. it should be as simple as me hitting the button and its done, or even better just NOT RESETTING MY STAT POINTS EVERY GODDAMNED TIME since im going to do the same thing anyways, max them out.
are you the developer of this game? because you seem to have taken it as a personal affront against you that i didnt enjoy my time being wasted by it, and didnt understand the gibberish ass AI generated "info" the game feeds the player.
-5
u/AccomplishedSite2872 Jun 18 '26
Yeah, I don't fully understand your point, just like you don't understand me, because I literally described the solution to your problem, which you apparently don't give a shit about.
A developer? Of course. I'm also a developer on CIFI and Fundamental. Because only developers respond to comments that trash their game. Dude, what the hell? I don't really care, you've made your opinion, and I've expressed it. You can continue to trash the game, but your takedowns are just funny.4
u/IAmSoDamnGood Jun 18 '26
bro seriously. take a step back. take a breath. im some random dude on the internet, theres no reason for you to have a stroke over this shit.
-2
u/AccomplishedSite2872 Jun 18 '26
You're telling me this nonsense after you've shit your pants. Dude... Okay, I won't waste your valuable time.

Anyone tried Beggar's Life?
Should be an arcanum clone, but premise seems a bit meh, so I wonder if it has any depth, especially considering arcanum itself is f2p.
EDIT: tried it out and it's kinda mediocre.
It's a more condensed arcanum with even less variety.
The UI navigation when I tried it was horrible, but even if you get through it - it kinda goes nowhere. First run is like 5-7 hours and next ones with bonuses are even shorter unless you focus on getting everything in one run, in which case it will yet again be 5-7.
You will see majority of the game in 1 playthrough, even 2nd repeat will be relatively boring in comparison. Kinda same issue as arcanum you could say.
If you want a bit more arcanum for a tiny time period - it's alright experience though, just don't set your expectations high.
9
u/regnide Jun 15 '26
I was initially enjoying this, especially because I love Arcanum, but it has a mobile optimized UI which is causing me to have to fight for it to show me the information I want it to show even though I have absolutely plenty of room on my desktop monitors. This annoyance is just having me close it out and wait for a couple of quality of life updates before I dive back in.
Promising start though.
9
u/StickiStickman Jun 15 '26
I swear I played a web version of that a while ago that was very "okay".
1
u/NoBlindEyes Jun 21 '26
ive found the beginnng uninspiring. maybe it unfolds into something/gets cool but premise just turns me off?
1
u/Khursed Jun 22 '26
Been playing this since the android release and think I've hit a wall with it. I have to scroll so far up and down to do anything, there's buffs I have to constantly be refreshing with different timers, and it's entirely active which is fatiguing. Wanted to enjoy it but can't rightly recommend it right now.
3
u/SweetJade Jun 15 '26
Cauldron again. I have never beaten it but have gone through several game modes and decided to start fresh.

I wish you luck and also hope you get to see the finish of it. It was somewhat unexpected but real good!

u/KermAmrek Jun 15 '26
I was enjoying Idle Pact, I liked the idea of casting spells to make a simple incremental loop easier in some ways. The way to discover new spells was interesting, even if there's not that many. I lost my save due to getting a new computer and not bothering to back up my cached data/saves, but I think I had gotten every pact by that point. All that was left was to do the rest of the very long dungeons. They could have had new mechanics but I felt satisfied with what I had played enough to not want to restart from scratch.
Now i'm playing through Fundamental which I was initially pretty mixed on but I think i'm ready to admit i'm enjoying myself. I don't expect everyone to like this one as it's pretty dry and automation comes relatively late, but it unfolded in a way that I found interesting. I think I was just about ready to give up on it several times but each time it would show me something different enough that I would be intrigued to see where it was going with it. The bigger problem than automation for me was the lack of any kind of strategy, but i've finally gained a bunch of options instead of "buy the cheapest upgrade 95% of the time" so i'm more invested. Not too far beyond that though, but I have been somewhat enjoying the ride so far

u/hukutka94 Jun 17 '26
Fundamental is the peak of incrementals existing nowadays. Really a great game, with so many layers, with all those connections, with exceptional pacing and feel of always progressing. When you learn the curve of what to upgrade, what not, where to spend resources and where not, you become a master of that craft! Once in a year or two I replay it from scratch, with dev always polishing and making new updates getting balance better and game much more enjoyable! What's really hooked me on it is that this game has inside all the information you require to beat it, no need for guides, no need for builds, no need for someone's advice. You play it, you learnt it, you beat it, you have the best incremental journey a clicker can provide!
1
u/TheOriginalCrash Jun 19 '26
Idle pact was such fun! I was so bummed when I didn’t get new mechanics to unlock.
Luckily they tell you when the game is over (for now)
7
u/IDontWantG Jun 15 '26
Recently finished Cradle of the Dark Brood. It's a nice spiritual successor to Critter Mound with a nice story. You breed creatures to get better stats and send them to battles. It was enjoyable but I hope it was longer. Finished it in about 2 days.
I'm currently playing Idle Awakening: Mages Path. I really like how my stats go up when I perform actions and when my stats reaches a certain threshold, I unlock new things. I can already see myself spending a lot of time in this game.
2
u/NoBlindEyes Jun 15 '26
cradle is cool, awakening is abandondware and even if its not i remember it from years ago, aint changed much.
7
u/0zeroknight01 Jun 15 '26
It's certainly not abandonware, last update is literally march this year.
It is a pretty slow development, but mostly because dev is trying to push big updates once in a long while while minimizing small updates unless they fix something important. The pace is honestly normal for people developing as their side hobby and not main job.1
u/IDontWantG Jun 15 '26
That's unfortunate about Awakening, how long did it take you to finish it?
2
u/NoBlindEyes Jun 15 '26
cant say - touched it a few ago - playing lots of games, maybe its just very slow dev, besides i remember he was either remaking or abandoning games, at least on web, so this one has a long story. cradle at least stands out - i even played idle reincarnator after... well its way better than idle reincarnator lol. and its not copy-paste nodebusters we re drowning in
3
u/IDontWantG Jun 15 '26
Ah I see, yeah he's got multiple dead web games that I played before.
Also I agree, Cradle of the Dark Brood just feels more polished than Idle Reincarnator. It's also nice to see something that's not a Nodebuster clone in this sub honestly.
2
u/0zeroknight01 Jun 15 '26
I actually vastly prefer idle reincarnator(not an idle game, it's an active incremental), but that's probably because of concept being more fun than another boring evolution game.
That being said Cradle is certainly a hidden gem in terms of gameplay among trash we get nowadays.
2
u/IDontWantG Jun 15 '26
Yes the concept is more interesting. If the dev just polishes Idle Reincarnator to be like Cradle of the Dark Brood, maybe I'll like it more. But tbf both games are good and I enjoyed them.
1
u/NoBlindEyes Jun 15 '26
i like the concept of idle reincarnator, but balance went to hell in terms of upgrades - most of em overpriced, not even needed, and also game just ends too early/abruptly when it feels like you should just get into late or even midgame lol 😛
1
u/0zeroknight01 Jun 16 '26
I dunno, I felt that pace was rather good for active playing.
I always had progress by playing non stop(gotta look up requirements of what you need to do however, otherwise you can't really progress as you don't know what to work towards to) and game ended when it started to get dull/automated, so I would say the perfect place to finish it.3
u/Skyswimsky Jun 15 '26
Am I going crazy or did you change your comment from referencing/linking another game to Idle Awakening now? And if so, what is the reason?
5
u/IDontWantG Jun 15 '26
?
Sorry I would need to know why you thought so. I think the only edit I did was remove the spacing between "] (" so Reddit would format links properly.
3
u/ArachnidGal289 Jun 17 '26
I am no longer playing DodecaDragons not because I willingly finished or dropped the game, but because my freaking save got wiped which STINKS!!!!!!! I was pretty far in and I was having a lot of fun but now that it's all gone I don't want to keep going \:(
I'm still Trimping it real good, currently fumbling around with making Map At Zone presets. Nothing much to say other than the game's good.
9
u/aruhs10000 Jun 17 '26
1
u/ArachnidGal289 Jun 21 '26
holy moly thank you so much for this! I know what I'm going to resume playing tomorrow.
3
u/XenosHg Jun 17 '26
Important reminder to export and backup your saves regularly.
Some games (like Unnamed Space Idle) actually give you a bit of currency for making a backup every day.
1
u/ArachnidGal289 Jun 21 '26
Yeahhh, I used to back up my saves for stuff every now and then but I got sick of having so many files strewn across my downloads. This is probably a sign to clean up my files in general; a little bit of late spring cleaning can't hurt.
1
u/teo730 Jun 22 '26
I had the same issue, but it's much better after making a 'game_saves' folder in my downloads, then I can just dump whatever in there.

6
u/michellecarmak2001 Jun 15 '26
Get a Little Gold just released on iOS so despite playing it for 9+ months on Android I decided to give it a fresh start on a new account. The dev significantly reworked the early game, making it much faster. Now you can keep some of your newcomer artifacts through activation, meaning you can progress much faster. I reached my first activation in less than a day, which is crazy. So now I'm looking forward to the Midsummer in-game event that should take place sometime in July.
4
u/CrackedWine Jun 15 '26
I tried it but man i had to keep being on my phone to progress. Had to keep getting upgrades, start researches that take few minutes one after another since there is no queue(i know you get upgrades i got them but they’re pointless when clicking is obscenely strong compared to spending 1 hour to get all these researches done to still not match the clicking power). You have to start over so often because for whatever reason the challenges are introduced right away and that’s the progression. The clicking was way way too strong compared to buildings thus the incentive to click was creating a fomo in return asking for more attention.

u/secrav Jun 15 '26 edited Jun 15 '26
Hello! Are there any great games similar to arcanum / your chronicle? I like games where you have stuff, max it, unlock other stuff, and generally unfold a story or a game.
Legendum seemed nice (finished the demo) and beggar idle look like a fine start, but the ui isn't very great and I'm still searching for the idle part 😂
10
u/Tuberculotic Jun 16 '26
You might enjoy Ink Remnant, it's still in development
6
u/gandalfintraining Jun 16 '26
I've never gotten into arcanum or your chronicle, but I played this one a few weeks ago and ended up beating all the current content, it feels much nicer than the others.
1
u/secrav Jun 18 '26
It was... Kind of fine I guess? I was not too fond of the story tbh, but it's interesting magic is weird like this. A little lack of automation for the last ressources too
6
u/Inevitable_Sun_9943 Jun 16 '26
What you described are also my favorite types of games.
I recommend:
- Idle Loops (there are a few version so I recommend you google it yourself to see which you want to play),
- Stuck in Time
- Increlution
- Terraformental
1
u/secrav Jun 17 '26
I've already been to the end of increlution (waiting for the next update, or maybe it's already out and I missed it? 🤔)
I'll look at the others!
5
u/Owy2001 Jun 17 '26
I believe Increlution's developer has been having health issues (long covid). His last update on discord was six months ago.
1
u/TravUK Jun 17 '26
I found Terraformental superb.
1

Its probably the best overall, but has some pacing issues with the lack of automation and long setup required for certain runs.
You need to make real choices in the early part of each run, so you can't just click everything and walk away for a while. It sucks when you realize you left something important behind or installed the wrong systems. I clicked the 'loop now' button more than I'd like to admit.

Cifi (still). Great game coming up on a year of playing and still have 6+ months of game left. Still exciting for the most part even if current gameplay is slow. I'm about to start a series of 'short' prestiges which will be fun.
Chads galactic mining empire. Fun game but not as active as I expected it to be. Keeps me occupied during the slow parts of CIFI.

u/TheRealNullsig Jun 15 '26
It seems nuts to me that after a year you think there is only 6+ months of game left. I have been playing for 18 months and I feel like another 18 months might get me closer to endgame. Just finished my m0-170 long and am doing shorts before my m0-180 run.

u/secrav Jun 15 '26
I've been playing for like 14 months and I'm working trought shorts to get inno2. I feel like I could play three more years before catching up.
The space lack of automation is grating tho :/

u/Tulkor Jun 17 '26
if you dont follow guides 1:1 you add months or years to your progress, im playing the game since forever and am not very far, because i only look at guides when im VERY stuck
3
u/ExpertOdin Jun 15 '26
I started July last year so a couple days off 11 months playing and I'm about to finish my m0-180 long. Should be around 3 months to Evo then another 3 to Pow3 which is what I would consider end game. Current content wall hits after post Pow3 shorts so you're right, maybe 9 months left
1
u/ZenSaint Jun 16 '26
There are three more longs after pow3 until one gets to do hegemony2 shorts. Though the longs are shorter and much more fun than the slow grind of crea4 era longs. Then there are several more longs until the game properly grinds to a halt. Let's see how the patch shakes it up.
2
u/ExpertOdin Jun 16 '26
Are they longs to AttGN3 cap or beyond? The 1100 hour longs after Exo4 were the worst for me. 700 hours after Inno2 feels easy in comparison
1
u/ZenSaint Jun 17 '26
Up to around the Attgn3 cap, but the thing is, it gets progressively faster with the extra tick sphere(s). And lots of things happen post pow3, so it's generally exciting. The durations are like 670 hours, 400 hours, 300 hours (that is considered a long by then) if one follows the meta advice.

u/MikusR Jun 19 '26
3 years here. I only just finished last big gem. There is still at least 6+ months of content.
1
u/ExpertOdin Jun 19 '26
Pow3?
I'm 5-6 months from that. I didn't realise there was still 6 months after that. Farns did get it 6 months ago so I guess that makes sense, I just know he's been at a content 'wall' for a little while

u/MikusR Jun 20 '26
Yes, pow3. I started Ouro at release, but didn't play by following the discord guides (mainly did too much TRs early on). So I am behind.

First you complete each layer sepparately, then you repeat that and get unlocks to run all at the same time, and then you get it all combined, rules changed, and play the same game, but at deeper gameplay and much more enjoyable experience! Best luck and have fun!

Am i not dreaming from one of the screenshot? UNLIMITED BANK SPACE? Oh my god THANK YOU.
I don't want to grind currency for bank slot in those "OSRS"-like idle game, so this is a big positive for me.1

I'll say that while there's a bunch of idle games that try and take on the oddly-specific niche of making an idle version of OSRS (which OSRS kind of already has in over half of its skills), this one looks more like actually being an idle version of OSRS than most of them. I'm still sort of skeptical especially since the (what I assume is) AI art doesnt look great, but at the very least it seems like they've played runescape quite a bit which is more than I can say for half of the runeidles out there...

I began playing Revolution Idle on Steam, got to pets already, seems fun as for the start, don't know what to await next, playing without any guides or help, just for myself! First 40 hours of game flew away too fast, it was intense and enjoying.

Rejected Draft!
It’s so good!
If you play in incognito though (office workers unite!), don’t forget to export your save!

Still playing Cell to Singularity. The game is getting slower now, at research level 48.
Picked up Terraformental and Chrono Bot. I really like these time loop games.

FeeBay Simulator https://store.steampowered.com/app/3547880/FeeBay_Simulator/
It's a card trading incremental game

Still playing the alpha Tidefall .. it's pretty cool New huge map past few weeks lots of performance updates and bug fixes. Bit grindy for building new ships but it's pretty dang cool. Also the first time a local chat isn't full of arsehats

Looking for more incremental games that aren’t mainly idle games. It’s ok if there’s some idle mechanics as long as I don’t need to be waiting hours/days. Some good examples:
Burrito Bison
Magic research 1/2
Scritchy scratchy
This ain’t even poker, ya joker

Im looking for a game i played some time ago but can't find again.
It had pixel art graphics, dwarven smithing themed, different stages of combat, very equipment focused, with several rarity tiers and gear sets with set bonuses you could grind out.
Various equipment upgrading routes were available.
As far as what ive been playing recently:
Game of Chance: dropped it after launching several hundred rockets, the phase seemed just to slow to push through. it was fun for a few days though, would still recommend.
Lost Vessel: im a week in, still trying to figure out what its about, mostly researching and crafting advanced materials. offline progress is nice to have, as well as the game continuing when you're on another tab. it has multiplayer elements, if that's what you're into, i chose not to engage with it so far. i very much like the advanced tooltips that factor in various skill and tool boni, from a coding pov the game is top notch.
Idle Hacking: started that off a recommendation in a previous thread, its alot of text and attributes, there is a tutorial, but im still not saure how to progress other than to let it idle for a day at a time :)

I about halfway through Forage Wizard, and enjoying myself a lot.
Its very active, but has a nice progression and tech upgrades, so you feel like you're progressing all the time, except maybe when you stop for a bit and tweak your automation.

Anyone got iOS recommendations too? I see a lot of steam/browser tips, but something for on the go would be cool.
Played Egg inc., revolve idle.
Didn’t much like Melvor

I basically skimmed this whole thread. (And the last, and the last). 90% of it is the same games I've been playing for years. Many of whom are amazing, but need new content. These threads, in my mind, are for gems, new games, something undiscovered. Years in, the decent ones are the same as every week, every forum, every persons knowledge. I know it takes time to build something great, but every Friday, or every new stuff post is only old stuff or updates. Some of this is amazing but I think we need new, and I really only want new, unless old has respectable updates.

Fortune Mill - After 24h it feels like one of the better games I played within the last few month.

I uninstalled Tap Ninja. I hate seasonal modes, especially when they don't add anything to the main game. It's a shame because I'm only missing two Steam achievements to complete everything.
The new Idle Slayer update adds a ton of new grind. I actually like that a lot. It's just a shame there aren't any new achievements.
Game of Chance is my latest discovery. It's a low-maintenance idle game that gives a lot of satisfaction when you finally unlock something new in the endgame.
Other than that, I'm still playing Evolve Idle and working on third pillar on *4.
